Do you really think that you can change your mind after taking the MOTB willingly? That's what John MacArthur is  teaching and I believe it's wrong teaching.

Hi Angles,

Is this a recent change in John MacArthur’s theology and teaching?

We have to agree to disagree, there is in my opinion no way truly born again Christians will be deceived to take the MOTB..

Revelation 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

It seems clear to me, Christians will not be deceived, and worship of the Beast is the priority. No worship and allegiance, no mark.

Howdy Angels,

I was wondering; I had never heard that before. I have all of MacArthur’s study notes, and he does not say anything like that in his notes. I figured it must have been something he said on video or a program.

I checked their website, Grace to You, and it was a program he said it on, and it stirred up a lot of controversies. I was not aware of what he said and believed that. He does make a biblical case for his view, but I firmly believe he is wrong on this one.

I am not an apologist for MacArthur, but I respect John MacArthur’s views and interpretations on most things. I think this one is a biggie, though.

In addition to the unpardonable sin, the Pharisees committed. I firmly believe taking the mark of the Beast is unforgivable, unpardonable, and is a sin unto the second death.

Another highlight is the age of Grace; the church age has closed. In my view, the Holy Spirit is not permanently indwelling in anyone. He who restrains (Holy Spirit) which resides in every believer is removed from the earth to Heaven.

Once again, these are just my thoughts. Sure, it was a beautiful day here! I am going to get 16 chicks tomorrow. Since I retired, I’ve had free eggs and thought I would take a break from tending chickens daily. Now look at the price and sometimes availability of eggs these days.

Hi Dennis,

Yes things are getting dearer. Just a few thought on your comments as I know you are someone who thinks clearly and speaks respectfully.

1. The Holy Spirit is omnipresent, (everywhere present), so when it says He is removed, I believe that He is removed from working to mature the Body of Christ which will be gone. However as scripture tells us there will be people who turn to God from the nations, and thus the Holy Spirit will be drawing them to God. (Rev. 7: 14)

2. I believe that God has His hand of mercy out in the trib, for people are saved, (to go on the new earth, Rev. 21: 24). Thus I see that God will give people an opportunity to repent, some do and some don`t. (Rev. 9: 20 & 21)

And those that worship demons or the A/C do not repent.

regards, Marilyn.

Hello Marilyn C,

That is my thoughts too, and I did not elaborate much on it. Right or wrong, my thinking goes:

The Restrainer (Holy Spirit) is removed when the church is Raptured, as the Holy Spirit indwells each born-again believer. Presently the Restrainer is restraining how evil this world would be until He is removed. At the Resurrection – Rapture that is the end of the age of Grace, the church age, and another period begins for seven years (dispensation, if you will).

I view the seven-year Tribulation much like before the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus at His baptism, Old Testament times. The Holy Spirit did not indwell believers but made sporadic appearances for specific purposes and work.

Yes, many will be saved during the Tribulation, and the Holy Spirit will be at work convicting people. But He will not be restraining evil or indwelling those who accepted the Lord Jesus as their Savior.

That is how I understand scripture anyway.

That my friend is a very difficult question.  I imagine it will be difficult to talk to many of them. The popular ones will likely have millions of people waiting to talk to them. Luckily we have all eternity.  However the one I look forward to the most would be the Apostle Paul. Then maybe Adam.

The earth will be uninhabited, it will roll like a drunkard and never recover. A New Earth is being made and God will place man again on that planet and the nations will grow there. It will ever be here before the lord and not be destroyed.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
