Every day is a special day and I'll touch upon the reason why, @Starise. I know our sister @kwikphilly will understand why every day is holy to me.

I was a dead man, brother. My time on this earth was at an end and over the course of many years, I had forgotten the promise of the Lord which He spoke on that day when He first called me. He will walk with me, and I will walk with Him; He shall dwell with me, and I shall dwell with Him. All I had known in this life was fleeting, having to leave not long after I arrived in any given place, passing like the breeze on a summer's day. That changed when the Lord claimed me as His own: I am not a stranger in His house and while I go here and there on this earth, I never have to depart from His presence. Ever.

When Christ restored me to the land of the living, He reminded me of the promise I had forgotten through the trial and no small measure of tribulation. Had I convinced myself that the Lord abandoned me in the shadow of death? Yes, I did. Ah, but He proved me wrong!

This is why every day is special as well as holy in the Lord. God was well-pleased to grant me this opportunity to walk in His promise before I pass from this world. :)

Blessings Brother

I most certainly do, having been at deaths door myself and still " Greater is HE that is in me, than he that is in the world"   HALLELUYAH!!!! Lets never forget that weve not been spared because ALL Born Again Believers have been spared- you & I were simply not Finished with our Fathers Will for His Purpose..... the enemy tried & failed ( defeated at Calvary!)

Yes, defeated at Calvary & that is why we celebrate Easter!!! Praise Jesus!

I dont know that I do anything differently than any other Brother or Sister in Christ. but as with every holiday the world celebrates I do use it as another opportunity to spread the Gospel..... Glory to God! He IS Risen on the front door and I tell " the Story" to all who will listen when they say" Happy Easter" or ask " Why do you celebrate a horrible death on a cross?"

Of course we dont celebrate Jesus death, we remember and are eternally grateful for His Sacrifice but we celebrate the fact that Our Redeemer Lives.... Because He Lives, we too have passed from death & bondage into freedom& LIFE!!!!!

Wow, this is much longer than I expected , lol ! So, this Sunday I went to my cousins for the traditional Italian feast( tons of antipasta, leg of lamb, honey ham & tons of sides) but before we ate they asked I do the Blessing-I was both honored and privileged to share Gods Word at the Gathering & in Remembrance of Jesus Finished Work we partook His Body & the Blood..... It was a lovely day with family❤🙏

How is this day different for you?

Two ways. The church I attend has a Resurrection Day service, plus an added one ("Easter Sonrise" service) Resurrection day always means baptisms at our church. I like those a lot.

Usually it also means the possibility of a get together for a meal with some family members, but some Resurrection days I just see what is in the kitchen at home and make myself something, not out of the ordinary.

Otherwise it is just like any other Sunday, and except for going to church, it is like every other day of the year. It is, after all, not as thought what Jesus did for me is different than the day before or after! Oh, I did where a button shirt to church, instead of a t-shirt, I guess that is different, though I occasionally do that anyway on other Sundays.

Not to change the subject, but I wonder why we used the KJV term (Calvary) instead of saying "defeated at the skull", does that just sound too weird?

Well, I have to admit that Skull Chapel does not have the same charm in the name as Calvary Chapel! Unbelievers already think we are weird, singing  so many songs about being "Washed in the blood" or  "fountains of blood", and frankly, I am not sure I don't agree with them!

I remember those Easter Sonrise services from my last church. Baptisms? That's a different touch.

I agree. "It is, after all, not as thought what Jesus did for me is different than the day before or after!"

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
