As metaphorically often in the bible mountains are large nations and hills are small nations; after the gathering of all the Lords people from the four corners of the earth, the mountain of the Lord in the Middle East shall be established in the top of the large nations, and exalted above the small nations. DING, DING. The above is the original Promised Land from the Euphrates River to the river in Egypt called the Denali (pretty sure that is the river). So, why was Israel not given her promised land? Because Israel disobeyed God and allowed women and children in some of the Canaan land to live, who later on of course brought forth "their gods" into the midst of Israel. Because of this disobedience God did not give them their full inheritance. But the above map will be what is called Israel during Jesus' 1000 year reign.
