The whole OP seems very Amero-centric.

Yup--I agree. I generally speak in terms of westernized societies, which share much.

having said that, my kids and grand kids live here.

Good morning kwik,

I cannot say we are the terminal generation that will experience the Rapture, but I have high expectations, and I am looking for the blessed hope all the time now. It is clear to me Jesus was saying the generation that witnesses Israel reborn as a nation (May 14, 1948) shall not pass. I think it is possible Psalm 90:10 could be a window of how long a generation is.

Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

We cannot know the day or the hour, but we can see the season or general time frame.

Watching biblical prophecy as it unfolds and aligns is both exciting and depressing. It is exciting because whether the Lord calls me home first or the Rapture happens in my lifetime, both are very close, in my opinion.

As an American, patriot, and veteran, it grieves me and breaks my heart to see what our country has turned into and the general course it has taken. Our nation was so richly blessed well beyond any other in the history of the world, and we squandered it all away.

The biblical pattern is that national judgment is not far off when a nation enacts laws legalizing and protecting atrocities and abominations and the people support it. Our Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and He does not change.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

I believe America has lost its divine providence and hedge of protection and is likely under remedial judgment to repent and turn back to Him.

I feel that the rapture of the Church is close. Time will tell.

is that the case? I do know that much of the mania (LOL) started back when Lindsay wrote 'The Late Great PLanet Earth'.

I find it interesting that it never got its teeth into me. Other than a general expectation and hope of His return.

The same. When I was new to the faith, quite a few around me were in the grip of that mania. I didn't get it. :noidea:

I am not seeing the connection between those verses and longing for the days of the maga crowd.

In context, the verses ...

12 And when He had opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake. And the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.
13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, even as a fig tree casts her untimely figs when she is shaken by a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed like a scroll when it is rolled together. And every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every freeman, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains.
16 And they said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him sitting on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;
17 for the great day of His wrath has come, and who will be able to stand?

Top of the afternoon to you!

Ah, I do not recall saying that or quoting it? Maybe I am losing it?

Have you ever wondered why a group of men would give rights to a people that opposes how the Biblical Governmental structures were set-up?

The Right to Vote and have a Say is why we are in the current mess we are in.

I am not saying I wanted to be born into a Nation governed by Dictators.   But our Rights have also been our biggest Curse.   And Our Rights oppose the Biblical View.

It was set up that way, by our inspired founding fathers, as we are not a democracy, but a democratic Republic.
In a democracy the majority rules. Without any limits set up. In a republic, the majority CANNOT go against the Constitution regardless of majority. Because we have inalienable rights, to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. If say you were an Asian, and the majority voted Asians cannot own a home or property in the USA. In a democracy you would out of luck. But in a republic you have a right to own a home, REGARDLESS of race.

We also have a right to choose our own religion. And it was set up the government could not have force national religion or faith.
Any faith has the right to be expressed, if not violating our laws.

There are other countries that do not have the right to vote that would welcome you.
They need replacements for those fleeing that country to get to America.
Where every one has a voice, and a vote. (Except those who do not believe in participating in "politics":)

Start sowing seed, the gospel,  if you want to really change the way those in the government make decisions.

                                      You cannot legislate morality!

Show me where Jesus voted and got involved with Politics?

We know He paid Taxes and said give unto Caesar...

Paul said, OBEY the Governments they were set up by God to give boundaries to people.

But nowhere does it say interfere, vote, make a difference, have an agenda.

We are to make a difference.

Matthew 5

14 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Nor do men light a lamp and put it under the grain-measure, but on a lampstand. And it gives light to all who are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in Heaven.

I'm with @Heaven_Bound on this one, and I get what our brother is driving at. So, about "rights" and all of that...

We are only entitled to that which God provides to us. Nothing more, and nothing less.

Of course we are free to ask for anything from the Lord, but I'm confident that my elder brothers and sisters understand what "according to His will" means.

We don't always get what we want but in Christ Jesus, we not only have exactly what we need but there is wealth stored up in heaven that no eye has seen, nor ear heard.

When the Lord said that I was coming to this place and I witnessed the squalor and learned about the crime here did I say to Him, "Absolutely not, Lord!"?

No. Here’s what I said instead: "Lord, help me to endure! I'm a stupid man and would prefer to have snakes and scorpions for neighbors but nevertheless, Your will is done. You gave me life and I belong to You alone."

Our conduct should cause a good report so no one may accuse us of lawless behavior, so we sumbit to civil authority. We submit to civil authority and do not agitate against it, which rules out political activism.

We pay our taxes, not seek ways to game the system.

We love our neighbor as ourselves and don't demonize them because they're lost or despicable in some way. As if we were never despicable ourselves!

I'm not preaching against brethren who do otherwise, just making the case for being wise like a serpent and harmless as a dove. If I join myself to a political cause and that leader is corrupt, then I also join myself to their guilt. Let them be accountable for their own deeds.

That's why I only concern myself with what the Lord has me doing, because that's tough enough as it is.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
