The Bible is clear that our battles are spiritual ones.  They may present themselves as political in nature, personal, physical, emotional,  generational, or even of our own fault - but take note - we have a common enemy and the battle is always spiritual.  No matter what the issue.

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powersover this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." - Ephesians 6:12

Read that again.

Every nation on the planet has these "princes" of the air stirring up evil and promoting evil.  I didn't make that up!  Read Daniel chapters 9-10.  Daniel was praying because there was a vision that he didn't understand.   AFTER 21 days, the angel Gabriel came to him - sent by God - to give an explanation.  But Gabriel told Daniel that it took 21 days to get to him because he was in combat with the "prince of Persia".  He said that no one would help him except for Michael, the Archangel.  He also said that when he left Daniel that he was going to have to contend with the prince of Peria again AND the prince of Greece.

You see, there are spiritual forces that keep the nations tormented with evil and sin. And there are battles that we know NOTHING of in the heavenlies and on the earth between God's armies and these principalities and forces.

Let's not think that our nation, our families, us personally, and even our church is not under attack.  Let's not stick our head in the sand about the deadly attack of spiritual forces.  We cannot battle what we do not acknowledge.

"...your adversary, the devil, is like a roaring lion, roaming about looking for someone to devour..."  1 Peter 5:8

"The thief comes only to kill,  steal, and destroy......"  John 10:10

Just in the United States, my own country, pornography has been normalized, families are and have been split apart by evil, people don't care about babies in the womb or the sanctity of marriage, people believe the answers lie in being a Democrat or a Republican, people [including Christians] hate with all their heart,  our children are under an attack like I've never seen in my 60 years on this earth, and the church is asleep at the wheel.

We all seem to think that the right President will solve our problems.  No one acknowledges the devil anymore and he LOVES that!!  He is literally like a lion, creeping on stealthy paws - not even breaking a twig when he steps on it.  The prey never knows he is coming and has even ignored his existence. Ergo, he steals, kills, and destroys with abandon.

We believe our enemy to be "the other guy and his beliefs".  Jesus Christ died for that "other guy" despite his beliefs.  Our enemy is the wave after wave of demonic forces that attack our lands 24/7.

What to do:

  • Acknowledge that the devil exists and that our enemy is spiritual.
  • Acknowledge that Jesus Christ has already won the ultimate victory.
  • Pray like mad and read the Bible daily.  Commit verses to memory.  Meditate [think about] those memorized verses.
  • Put on the armor of the Lord [Ephesians 6].
  • Submit to God.  Then, resist the devil and he will flee from you.  James 4:7
  • Draw strength from God, alone.   Not yourself.  Even Michael, the Archangel, would not rebuke the devil in the book  of Jude.  He allowed God to do that.

The battle iS spiritual.  To deny that is to deny that a devil exists.  Once you ignore him and his forces, then it's like falling  off a log to ignore that God exists and has a standard of living.

We become our own gods and create our own standards.

And thereby, we have lost the battle.

All because we refuse to acknowledge the warfare of the spiritual.

Spot on.

I highly recommend Pastor Chip Ingram’s “The Invisible War.” He is very balanced Spiritual Warefare teacher, “Be prepared to battle, but do not be preoccupied with it, looking for a demon behind every bush.”
Many have been led astray in Deliverance ministry like Bob Larson who does Necromancy (I saw him do this in person!), calling up dead ancestors in people, which is forbidden by The Lord in Leviticus, “Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God.” (Leviticus 19:31)

Interestingly, Exorcist means to “caste demons in to people” not out, source, Hebrew-Greek Key Word Study Bible, Zodathianes Spiro.

True deliverance leads to the same result as the Man who had Legion, “And they came to Jesus and saw the demon-possessed man, the one who had had the legion, sitting there, clothed and in his right mind, and they were afraid.” (Mark 5:15).
If a deliverance does not lead to you in your right mind, then its charlatan like Bob Larson and a false deliverance minister.

I have found in Deliverance ministry and spiritual warefare teachers “wolves in sheep’s clothing,” people who glorify demons not the Lord Jesus. So use discernment.

I resent the we in this.   Not very many people I know personally would fall into this category.   There are lots of us that are born again spirit filled sons and daughters of God alive and well in the USA.

The Question of what to do is simple.   Develop and strengthen one's relationship with the Holy Spirit.   That will get a person through anything that Satan can throw at us....   and without the Spirit we don't have a chance no matter what we do.

Sorry you took offense.  I meant none.

I'd try to explain, but.....I know I'm  not everyone's cup of tea.

Loved your OP- and that does not mean I didn't understand where our Brother other one is coming from, like him there are many many of us that do not fall into that category- Praise Jesus!

Well after witnessing some of the posts regarding pure evil at its worst, defending& supporting it simply because they are oblivious to spiritual warfare- under extreme strong delusion.... I can see what prompted you to post your OP....Amen Sister!Does my heart(& my spirit) good

Sister, these are professing Christians being manipulated by demons- plain& simple! The spirit of pride has such a stronghold that they just cannot even consider anyone's words that oppose ",their stance" like a dog with a bone.Completely fooled into believing its political, its personal or " my FEELINGS..... Make no mistake, its ALL spiritual warfare

People are either standing on principal( important word) or standing on Gods Word, there is no middle. Serve God or satan, cannot serve both.  Either a pawn in the enemy's game of deception or walking in Spirit & in Truth

It breaks my heart when I see " Christians"(are they?) who refuse to die to themselves. How can anyone live for Christ if they will not let go of their life, flesh carnal mind ,this world & all its " principals"..... Maybe a light will go on,I pray

Thanks for your msg

With love in Christ Kwik

I also recommend that book to anyone in the army of Christ. It is like a 'boot camp' experience, very well put together.
I have also already recommended it here on Worthy in the past, and have purchased many copies to give to other soldiers.

It is the battle for the mind, your mind. But most important, the battle has already been won!
By the blood, at the cross!!!
