Before I do your homework, are you saying you have read all of the IPCCs publications, and you have found that they never mentioned any concern of Florida being under water, ever?

I made a claim that Al Gore gets his climate information from the IPCC, and that according to him, Florida should have been under water, by 2016.  The prediction was made in a movie and a book by Al Gore circa 2006.  2016 came and past, and Florida is not under water.  My claim is justified.

Your friend's claim was that "I'm not certain that IPCC ever stated that Florida would be underwater in 2022."

I merely asked if he had looked at all the material out there, to make his claim before I prove the data I claimed came from the IPCC, came from the IPCC.

I don't understand why I need to read the entirety of the IPCC publications for you to back up your claim, but that's ok. Not a big deal, anyway.

It simply means that you know for a fact that the IPCC never mentioned any concerns about Florida.  If you don't know this for a fact, it seems like you are sending me to play fetch the stick.

@servant4christ Because some people seem to have trouble with their ethical responsibilities when making claims, here is a chapter of an IPCC report specifically on sea level rise.

A search on "Florida" reveals seven matches. Most are in relation to the risk and mitigation of sea level rise in low-lying regions around the globe, including Florida. I have not seen the claim made in this thread supported in this document (I have not read all of it of course).

About the closest language I can specifically find in the document is:

A model projecting future US county-level populations exposed to permanent inundation was combined with an empirical model of potential migration destinations to produce the first sea level/migration analysis of migrant destinations (Hauer, 2017). Assuming that households with incomes above 100,000 USD yr-1 would have resources to stay and adapt, it was found that 1.8 m SLR by 2100 would displace over two million people in south Florida. 

The original claim by Al Gore et al, may have been stated back then, but the science is constantly refining itself, so quotes from 10 or more years ago may not be valid anymore.

I can't seem to find any actual quote regarding Florida flooding from Al Gore though. He did make some reference to substantial global sea level rise which turned up a few fact-checking sites with commentary on. I would not be surprised in an effort like "An Inconvenient Truth" to stretch, exaggerate or overstate the case a bit, as it was presenting a certain narrative.
