There is no such thing as “climate change”, only climate changes.

Of course there are changes in everything because of the activities around us.

But there is no big green climate change monster that mankind can alter or create at all, or should worry about.

We Christians have read the back of the Book and we know who wins.

Destroying the climate is the least of mankind’s worries right now.

Maybe we should put hate, unbelief, disobedience, transgenderism, pornography, blasphemy, and a whole host of other sins before climate change.

Hi, I just did it,- twice. How? By clicking  on a quote within a previous post that has a response within it instead of using the quote button.

The quote gets posted, but is attributed to the original writer that was being quoted in that previous post. And it just posts it as a new post.

Weird, but I have accidentally done it several times now.

They pretty much fit.   "All but erase certain cities", because none of them will be completely flooded.    Or at least that's what the evidence suggests.

The evidence shows that some cities will be nearly completely flooded.   But the title of that magazine article is misleading, since it implies that entire cities will be completely flooded.   Other than some island nations, that seems to be an exaggeration.    We often see deniers ignoring scientific literature to pettifog about what a magazine wrote.

Nicole LeBoeuf, acting director of NOAA's National Ocean Service, said the eastern Gulf of Mexico — including Florida — saw nine flood days last year. That's a 600% increase since the year 2000.

LeBouef says it's only going to get worse.

"For the first time in human history, the infrastructure we build must be designed and constructed with future conditions in mind," she said. "And along the coast, that means high-tide flooding conditions in mind.

Here's some of the report's findings:

• St. Petersburg faces the highest long-term projection of flooding days of any of the 15 cities in Florida cited by the report. St. Petersburg saw two to three days of high-tide flooding in 2020. That number is projected to increase to 15 to 85 days in 2050.
• Clearwater saw four to six high-tide flood days in 2020. That is projected to increase to 10 to 55 days in 2050.
• Miami saw three to six days in 2020, and is projected to jump to between 10 to 55 days in 2050.
• Cape Canaveral saw seven to 12 days in 2020, and is expected to increase to between 20 to 65 days in 2050.

"As sea level rise continues, damaging floods that decades ago happened only during a storm are now happening more regularly, even without severe weather such as during a full moon, tide or with a change in wind and currents," LeBouef said.

Sounds like pettifogging over "nearly completely" and "completely."

If the title had read, "Rising Seas Will All But Erase More Cities by 2050",

to what extent would the threat have been "less exaggerated"?

 

If someone, God forbid, says to you "I'm going to all but erase you," how less threatened do you feel than if they were to say, "I'm going to erase you"?

If the Times is engaging in exaggeration, are they not, by your previous definition a "denier" outlet?
