Man, where do you work?

I'm a teacher in a high school.  Here in California, no matter where you go on Halloween day, you see people dressed up in costumes at banks, grocery stores, doctors' offices, etc.  It's Mardi Gras, but with an evil twist...

What should be the Christian's view of participating in this "holiday"?  Should Christians dress up in costumes?  Should we allow our children to go trick or treating?

My son and I did a zombie Halloween one year. We had gas masks and that sort of stuff. I think about that when we had the virus and there was death and people wearing masks. In a way, maybe it prepared the children for what was to come. Halloween takes place at the end of the harvest, when all the plants are dying and the leaves are falling off the trees. It is a time to deal with death, but they do it in sort of fun way. If people refuse to participate that is still a reaction and a contribution to the event. I know people who wanted to make a statement and would keep their children home from school that day. No one really noticed, but that was their contribution to the event. That was how they wanted to deal with Halloween.

I had a friend that used to go to festivals with big banners and 15 foot crosses. At halloween he would stand in front of the most scary house with his big anti harry potter banner. He was a big guy and sometimes there would be conflicts. He even told me stories about taking knives away from people who wanted to confront him. That was on one of his mission trips. I do not have any problem with what he was doing. If that was his message, then maybe there are people who need to hear it. I know there were kids that were upset and their parents were trying to calm them down and tell them it is no big deal if someone wants to be anti harry potter. People have the freedom to do what they want.

The more I found out about SRA and the Satanic/Luciferian holidays, the less I wanted to do with any of it.

For children it's hard for them to understand. They would be better off not knowing.

When Mike Warnke was making the rounds in Christian circuits down-casting Halloween as a satanic high holy day, I must admit I fell in lock step with the

anti-Halloween mob. While it can be a high holy day for satanists, Wicca, or people who just squeeze the Charmin religiously, that can be ANY day of the year.

In fact, Halloween (all hallow's een) ← the evening before All Saint's Day as proclaimed by the Roman Catholic Imperial Church, was as much a Protestant protest

over the Catholic sway as it was a secular protest against this Imperial kingdom under the guise of Christianity.

Through heir domination (which they call ecumenical outreach) they had transformed many pagan holy days (Christ Mass for Saturnalia, Astarte / Easter for Spring Fest

just to name two major ones). Then came holidays for canonized saints for which they soon ran out of days of the year so they set aside All Saint's Day (November 1st).

The modern version of Halloween has long since taken on a festive, non-religious theme where people can dress up as witches or goblins or princesses or angels or Spider Man

or Jesus or Moses. Trick or treat has gone from the impish soaping of windows for all non-compliance with the begging of candy  to simply the term "Trick 'r' treat" at the door of

willing participants.

A joyous time to be had by kid and candy giver.

And the parties (bobbing for apples, pin the tail on the donkey, and good fellowship)...

If you are looking to rid the world of every last vestige of evil... you're going to have to leave the world. For even the Churches we attend are filled with sinners saved by Grace.

FYI Mike Warnke was since exposed as a fraud.

Forces of evil in the world closely study the bible to search for levers which might be used to influence christians into turning their backs on God. On average they work harder at this than christians do. Which is how they enjoy so much success today in distancing christians from God.

Lack of knowledge on science, vaccines, politics and finance are far more dangerous to christians than candy, costumes or halloween.

If christians treated their own lack of knowledge with the same distaste as they did scary costumes the world would be a much better place.

This is actually a brilliant point.

A thing to remember...

Forcing Jesus on anyone only results in their rejection of Jesus.

The same is true about the Church and even moral values.

The argument against abortion, for example, should not be "the Bible says..." or

"God says..." to unbelievers. But rather abortion is the murder of an innocent baby.

If a woman does not want to be pregnant, if she had the opportunity to transfer the

embryo to another gestational surrogate... would she?

Pastor Miles McPherson recently did a message about becoming a parent the moment you

learn you are pregnant.

Question number two, to a newly discovered mommy:

Would you consider sterilization to prevent future sexual freedom from risking pregnancy?

And if not (to preserve your ability to be a mother someday) what makes you believe you will be a

good mother if you as a mother right now are willing to abort your baby?

The merits alone are enough to enrage pro-abortionists (who do not want anyone to know the facts).

Halloween is a pagan holiday. It is  very controversial among the Christian community on how to handle this. Perhaps a parent does not want to make their children stay at home and forbid them to participate at all when all their friends are celebrating Halloween. The parent should not allow their children to wear costumes that reflect the dark or evil. Staying away from devil and witch costumes and going with cat or dog costumes  etc. Many Churches have a harvest festival party or a party that reflects more on what the Christian is comfortable with.

The parents do not have to give out candy which would make it seem that they endorse the holiday.

The unknowing world does not see the significance or danger in the holiday so they celebrate it as such.

We wrestle against an invisible evil spiritual enemy who has boots on the ground cronies he works through. They hold that day as something special for their side. For that reason alone I want nothing to do with it. I don't see the day as insignificant. I see it as especially evil on many fronts.

But your children are now grown. How would you handle it if your children were still young?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
