Is the Holocaust prophecized in the Bible?

I don't recall that it is but I can't imagine why not.  Did I miss it?

No it is not. God gives mankind freedom of choice. We can choose to follow Him and take a stand for righteousness, or we can rebel against Him and pursue evil. The problem resides in the heart of man.

If the bible says jews are God's chosen people. Who are blessed.

Perhaps we can deduce that they will be most hated, targeted more than other demographics.

I completely agree but it seems odd to me that such a horrific event wasn't apparently prophesied.

There's no point in prophecy.

People never listen.

We're not smart enough to heed those types of warnings.

This may be because the prophecies of the OT related to Israel the nation which ceased around 70 AD.

This is one reason why I think the way I do about all of the end times theories folks have and make much of.

Yes, I can definitely read the holocaust into Ezekiel 37:2-10. There were mountains of dried bones (corpses) buried everywhere in mass graves. Good work Selah, you beat me to it.

 Israel, 'THE NATION' ceased to EXIST when the House of Judah was taken away into captivity 580 years before Christ was born. Persians, Greeks, Herods, Romans ruled over Jerusalem, not Israel.  They had the temple rebuilt but they were no longer a nation. 

And there were many prophecies that covered that period.  


I am completely amazed to hear...all of it from Israel being a nation until 70AD and that all the OT prophecies ceased when the nation did.  How do you account for the promises and covenants that were unconditional?  

What is going on in the world today?  What part does the bible play?  Do you account Revelation and Daniel to be separate events or was John given a vision of what he would have witnesses 25 years previous to the vision and the rest was just to be disregarded?  


Could you tell me when you believe all these things took place?

20In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD'S house shall be like the bowls before the altar.

21Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.
