When I look around the world today I have to wonder what they were doing then that they are not doing now.  Maybe something in the heavenly realm, but certainly I don't see anything here on earth.

Before you have not looked in the place where Jesus went to take the Keys from Death and Hades...

Or you did not pay attention as much to the words of Jesus when he announce that all authority has been given to me in Heaven on Earth and in all the things under the Earth. Then maybe you can sing another song.

In the scriptures we find out that the children of believing parents, even the children of one believing parent are born to Jesus Christ...they are his, they are belonging to him.

Food for thought;

William Ashley "Billy" Sunday (November 19, 1862 – November 6, 1935)  considered the most influential American evangelist during the first two decades of the 20th century.

Sundays' three sons, embarrassed their parents with their errant lifestyles. George was arrested for drunkenness and auto theft before he committed suicide in 1933. Billy Jr. died in an automobile accident in 1938; and Paul, a test pilot, died in an airplane crash in 1944.

Luke 16:22,23 "And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom."

Matthew 27:55-53 "At that moment the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split.  The tombs broke open, and the bodies of many saints who had fallen asleep were raised. After Jesus’ resurrection, when they had come out of the tombs, they entered the holy city and appeared to many people.

People no longer go to Abrahams bosom. To be absent from the body is to be present with the lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8

Jesus tells us that all the law is summed up in the golden rule that we are to treat others the way we want others to treat us. Matthew 7:12 “Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. This is the law and the prophets"

I spend hours a day looking at what's going on in the world today and I fail to see where Jesus is exercising that authority on planet earth except on some individual situations....   and as I understand it won't until he comes back in person and takes that authority very violently.

I am trying to correctly discern what you are trying to say.

Because you have not say any comments about what those men believed....

And I am not mistaken you also believe that we are saved from condemnation because we have believed in Jesus Christ.

That we have forgiveness of sins in the blood of Jesus Christ...

If it so with you why then you have posted this story without any reference to their faith in Jesus Christ...

And the relevant scriptures that say nothing can separate us from the love of Jesus Christ...

Because they way you have posted is like that you have contemn them to Hell while they were believers in Jesus Christ...

Unless you have Judge them as unbelievers by what they did...forgetting that Jesus knows that with the heart man believes unto righteousness...unto his righteousness, because besides our own righteousness we also are in Jesus righteousness...

So did you take into consideration their righteousness in Jesus because of their faith in him, or you just consider their individual righteousness...

Answer; Scripture says you must be born again. Take it up with God, not man.

Amazing how often the same old Calvinistic vs choice debate shows it's ugly head.
It has been debated for hundreds of years, and yet we think we have the answers.
A waste of time, unless you just have to make sure everybody knows where you stand.
I care less who wins. I know the God I believe. And the enemy would have us debate, ferociously, this topic ad nauseam, and create discord.

I believe I will continue to share the good news, no matter how much it has "already been decided" by those that have all the answers.
I do not believe my efforts, as willed by God, will be in vain.....

I do not profess to know about these things other than taking God at His Word, but perhaps much of His expressed authority as King is in the invisible realm and work in His Body--with angels lending a hand.

The general context if this scripture is speaking of gifts.   People want to be treated differently.   Some want opportunities and others want gifts.

I do think we should look at his commandment as a whole:::

John 13:34-35
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
NASB

That is very different than treating them as you want to be treated.

So how's the body doing these days.....     falling away yet to make possible his return.

Satan is alive and well here on planet earth and will be ruling things through people until Jesus returns and locks him up for a thousand years.....    and after that he's coming back for a short time to corrupt the human race again.

It won't be over until he's tossed into hell and that a long time from now.   And we should not be deceived into thinking all can be well here on planet earth as a global whole until he comes back.   Individual people yes, but not global conditions and who is in charge politically.

edited to add, that we do have the Holy Spirit to guide us individually, and in some ways protect us, but good born again Christians have evil things happen to them and their families.... every day

I would like to think His return is symbolic. But the Bible is pretty clear that His feet will touch the ground on the Mount of Olives in the same place He departed. This is a spot where He preached sermons, and you can see the temple mount. There will be an earthquake at the time.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
