I don't see that anywhere in Matt 24. Before you think you know something you need to know something. The New Testament speaks to the New Testament church only. Who was Jesus talking to in verse 21. Who was asking Jesus the questions in Matt 24. Was it not the disciples ? Wasn't Jesus talking to the disciples (His Church)? Lord help us!

You're right. The New Testament is directed at the disciple of Jesus. But in the scheme of things when Jesus is Lord and King of this earth, Israel has a very important role - God's honor. He made Covenants with them and He made promises to them. If He does not fulfill them, (i) He will be declared impotent instead of the ALL_mighty, and (ii) a God Who does not keep His Word.

So, for instance, in Romans, Paul builds a case for BOTH Jew and Gentile caught in sin and sins. The Jew will answer that he has the Law. Paul counters in Chapter 7 that the Law can only condemn, and gives the answer in Chapter 8. But immediately the reader will doubt, for the Bible, and history, show that Israel did not take the way in Romans Chapter 8. This should mean the end of Israel, but no, God moves Paul to spend THREE Chapters, 9, 10 and 11, all on how Israel will be recovered.

It is of high interest to the disciple of Jesus, how Jehovah upholds His Words.

So also with prophecy. In Daniel, chapters 2 to 7 are written in Aramaic. Daniel is addressing and prophesying to the Gentile kings. But who will study it in the end - the disciple of Jesus. In Matthew 24 Israel and events pertaining to them are in view, but they are for the informing of the disciples of Jesus.

Matt 24:12

and because iniquity shall abound the love of many shall wax cold but he that shall endure unto the end thee same shall be save

I notice that when the Lord says

"the love of many shall wax cold",

the word agape is used,

which the Lord uses for "love of God",

and "love each other as I have loved you".

Therefore, this is not the condition of the world,

it is the condition of the church.

2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now, brethren, concerning the

coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering

together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken

in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word

or by letter, as if from us, as though

the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you

by any means; for that Day will not come unless

the falling away comes first, and the man of sin

is revealed, the son of perdition.

Very well since you have no answer I will answer for you. Jesus quoted the prophet Danel in Daniel 9: 27. Daniel 9:27 tells us plainly about the abomination of Desolation which is when the Antichrist stands on the porch of Temple in Jerusalem  and declares that he is God. which causes the abomination of desolation. This broke the mentioned 7&1/2 year peace that was mentioned as being mid point of the  peace. (3&1/2 years. This tells us the Great tribulation begins not at the final 7 years but 3&1/2 years later and marks the last 3&1/2 years as being the Great Tribulation.

Lets go back to Daniel again at verse 7:25 and I will quote.

and he ( the antichrist) shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints (the church) of the Most High for a time , times and a 1/2 times (3&1/2 years.. So we see Great tribulation is not 7 years ,but 3:&1/2 years. So why now does the pre- tribulationist say Great Tribulation is 7 years?

no....   there are some hints that some people take to mean that, but I personally don't see it.   I think the beast and his actions is what sends folks to the spirit world so to speak (physical death),   but I do hold out to be ready to go should I be wrong...

I have made myself spiritually ready to tell the beast, "No, I will not bow to you nor worship any of the beasts or it's image."    Dying isn't a big deal when you are 75, you just hope it doesn't hurt too much.     I watched my dad die from spread prostate cancer in such pain he couldn't stand it, so having one's head chopped off really isn't that big of a deal....    Kind of messy, but I won't mind.  LoL

Lets be reminded. These scripture came to me while praying this morning. I thought I should post them.

Matt 24:12

and because iniquity shall abound the love of many shall wax cold but he that shall endure unto the end thee same shall be save

2nd Tim 3

This know that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall become lovers of their own selves, covetous ,boasters , proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy without natural affection, truce breakers false accusers, incontinent , fierce, despisers of those who are good.

Traitors, heady high-minded, lovers of pleasure more that lovers of God, have ing a form of godliness denying the power thereof. From such turn away

I'm uncertain what you're trying to say here. These things listed have always been around. There is nothing going on now that wasn't always going on before.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
