It’s interesting to me that the Mercy Seat is above the Law.  Oh the wondrous riches of God’s mercy!

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

- Ephesians 2:4-9

You have alluded to a grand truth.

When the first Temple was built, God's glory entered it. And the Temple - the place where God chose to put His Name - becomes the center of God's move on earth. But alas, through Judah's law-breaking God vacates it and it is destroyed. When the second Temple is begun, the old men who were witness to the first Temple, wept because the glory of the first was greater - in their eyes. But God promised them that the second Temple would shew a greater glory (Ezra.3:12-13, Hag.2:1-9). But there is no record of God's glory entering this Temple, let alone a greater glory. Or is there?

The God Who dwelt in Solomon's Temple is the God of Righteousness. Israel are under Law and keeping the Law establishes one's righteousness. And righteousness is absolute. It always find what is right and can never bend, for when it once bends, it is no longer fully righteousness. And the Law itself attests to this. If you break one law you break the whole whole Law. So the grand question before us is; "Though God be merciful to the uttermost, how will he get past Law in order to extend mercy?"

A fully righteous God cannot but administer Law uncompromisingly. A guilty man can only satisfy Law in that he dies for HIS sins. An innocent man cannot be made to pay for the guilty. The doors of mercy seem to be closed forever - UNLESS ... an innocent man VOLUNTEERS to pay for the guilty! And so, the only innocent Man Who ever lived VOLUNTEERED to face the immense debt of every offense ever committed. And in this man realized Psalm 85:10

Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other

Jesus Christ, Son of God and Son of man, realizes the impossible. He is God. He is Emmanuel - "God with us". He is a Man in the image of the living God, He has satisfied righteousness by VOLUNTEERING for all men, and He has frequented the Second Temple. The GREATER GLORY of righteousness AND mercy is revealed and mercy is extended. The Ark of the Covenant does not empty itself of Law, but the Law is satisfied by sprinkled blood, and mercy is set above it. But there is one reservation!

The man who avails himself of this mercy must admit the blood of atonement. This he will do gladly when he needs mercy. But what and if another man offends him??? The natural man then calls for vengeance. But this is the glory of the Law and he has availed himself of the greater glory of Law satisfied and mercy afterwards. And so the man who had admitted mercy in his life IS BOUND by his own choice to EXTEND MERCY. If he does not he denies the blood and his own sins are NOT forgiven.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. (Matt.6:11–15)

Your visit to the Mercy Seat is based on Christ crucified and resurrected. If you do not forgive men your visit is based on Law and Law can only condemn to death.

John 13:13-17 You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

Matthew 6:14 & 15 For if you forgive men their trespasses,

your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

But if you do not forgive men their trespasses,

neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

The Ark of the Testimony is the Lord's footstool.

1 Chronicles 28:2 Then King David rose to his feet and said, Hear me, my brethren and my people: I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for the footstool of our God, and had made preparations to build it.

The cover to the Ark is called the kapporet because it is the place where atonement was made by the sprinkling of blood by the High Priest. It was not a seat, it is the place where to Lord's feet would be when He was seated above the Ark BETWEEN the cherubim. Now you can read John 13 and understand the connection to the Day of Atonement.

Another representation of the Ark therefore, is the earth below, to heaven above.

Isaiah 66:1 Thus says the Lord:

“Heaven is My throne,
And earth is My footstool.
Where is the house that you will build Me?
And where is the place of My rest?
2 For all those things My hand has made,
And all those things exist,”
Says the Lord.
But on this one will I look:
On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit,
And who trembles at My word
.

Whose heart is laid open before the Lord.

Hebrews 8: 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

On earth as it is in Heaven!

Well done Brother,lovely🤗

Exodus 25:22 (TLV Messianic trans)

I will meet with you there. I will speak with you from above the atonement cover—

from between the two cheruvim that are on the Ark of the Testimony

about all that I will command you, for Bnei-Yisrael.

I'm not sure how to put it into words but We are Made in God's Image and He Has Always Given Man Instruction to Make things in earth in the image of what is in Heaven, hasn't He? Always Revealing Himself,His Glory and the Heavenly things....it's simply Amazing & Awesome!

God Gave specific measurements and details to man for building His Temple,His Dwelling Place and all of it always preparing us for the Coming of the Messiah, twofold..... Preparing the inhabitants of His Chosen people - not only in the City but in themselves, the Temple prepared for His Abode,in Spirit and in Truth, inside of us .....gee, wow - Glory to God!

I think I did not do a very good job of writing out what is in my heart, I tried to share....❤️🤔

Yes--this is what those things were pointing to.

John 14:23 (NAS20S) Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will follow My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him.

I always have seen the Ark as the human heart,

where the Lord would "write His Law". What is

often overlooked is that the ten utterances recorded

on stone and given to Moses were heard by all. Therefore,

the key to understanding covenant is repeated in the Law,

"Hear my voice".

Numbers 7:89 Now when Moses went into the tabernacle of meeting

to speak with Him, he heard the voice of One speaking to him from

above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the Testimony, from

between the two cherubim; thus He spoke to him.

Hebrews 8:

4 For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests

who offer the gifts according to the law;

5 who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely

instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said,

See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.

6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also

Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.

1 John 3:1-3 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us,

that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us,

because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it

we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope

in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

The "mercy seat" is kaporete (or similar) and means LID. That is all.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
