England is going to have a nuclear warning test April 22:for the whole country.

That is good, for it will have people think about what they are going to do.      We no longer have any civil defense set up for citizens here in the USA.

We had one of those accidental alerts in Hawaii last year and it just pointed out that at least over here, there really isn't any place to go to shelter.   I don't know if England has any shelters designed for safety from a nuclear war kind of thing.

No the only people that could possibly find shelter are the very rich and the top politician's. The test warning is about as much use as a chocolate teapot ... it will tell you what and where a disaster is brewing but since there is almost nothing anyone can do it is rather pointless and even those with mobile phones are able to switch off the alerts  :noidea:  This is a test but I have a feeling it is more to do with control that safety

I hope it gets people's attention and lets them understand that we do not want to push things into a nuclear conflict with anyone.

We have a good cellar for protection from tornadoes, but we live in an area where their are three first strike targets in a 40 mile ring around us.  We can go underground,  but the radiation above ground will get us in the end.  Storm cellars are not equipped to stay in for long periods of time.

If the ICBMs fly, its hello Lord.

Best to be killed by the blasts and initial waves…unless the Lord has different plans.

It says the elements will burn with fervent heat.  I definitely think it might. The world is preparing for it now.  England is going to have a nuclear warning test April 22:for the whole country. It's getting close brothers and sisters. 2 peter is a warning.

The upcoming “day of judgment and of destruction” is compared with the destruction of “the world” of Noah’s time (2 Peter 3:5-6). At the Flood, the “world” that was destroyed involved the wicked ones, as the planet survived; again, it was “the ungodly people”—God’s enemies—who “suffered destruction.” During God’s upcoming “day of judgment,” (2 Peter 3:7) those who choose to be God’s enemies will likewise be destroyed. But God’s friends will be preserved, as were Noah and his family.

Judgment will be at a time of God's own choosing; it won't accidentally happen as if someone  inadvertently pushed a nuclear button.

Those who love and trust the Lord Jesus will be preserved because they rest in His perfect work at the Cross ('It is finished' - John 19.30).

A nuclear exchange does not necessarily mean God’s judgement as most see via eschatology. There have been many devestating wars in history. We have just gotten better at killing and breaking things.

2 Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. [emphasis mine]

Not that I am correct, but I have different thoughts. There are three heavens; our atmosphere is the first heaven, outer space, the cosmos is the second heaven, and the third heaven is where the throne of God resides. The earth is written singular, and the heavens plural.

Romans 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. [emphasis again mine]

The whole creation would include not only our planet but also the universe. How did the universe become contaminated by sin from one man on earth? Do Satan and his minions still have access to God's third heaven and throne?

Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. Revelation 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

It speaks to the planet and atmosphere we are confined and restricted to, not what is outside our world. It seems Satan, his minions, and sin have contaminated the entire creation, including the universe.

Isaiah 42:5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: [emphasis added]

We do not know the nearness of the heavenly bodies before God stretched them significantly out. They may return to their original positions before the Lord stretched them vastly out.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. [heavens plural]

Revelation 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

When stretched out, a scroll rewinds in on itself when released. If we are talking about the universe, it collapses, and what happens to matter? The entire universe melts by fervent heat, and all evidence of sin is burned up and destroyed. Then a new creation is made.

Could my thoughts be plausible?

God's people are killed every day. But I do know he can save if it's his will.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
