Sorry,no I didn't see the vote ,the point is that tattoos are not my thing but I will not judge people by their appearance,I recently met somebody with a beautiful tattoo on her ankle /foot which gave her many opportunities to talk about the Lord, I'm not voting because I don't want to be opinionated about it,its usually not my style,but the tattoo from this lady was beautiful ( olive tree) we never know how God can use anything to draw some people closer to Him.

@Littlelambseativy Some really good, basic sentiments there, indeed, from Scripture. I guess it could be said also that some Christians might regard Scripture tattoos, etc., as a very widely used way of reinforcing timeless and unchanging truths. (Especially since Christians dispensationally are not Old Testament Jews in the land under the law.)

So does that mean that the words of God, "I am the Lord, I do not change." cease with the Old Testament for us just because they were said to the Israelites? I do not believe so. However, everyone will answer for themselves with what they have or have not done with God's word and admonishments.

Thank, @angels4u . My wife and I talked to a young lady with the whole of John 3.16 tattooed onto her wrist area; it was her favorite Bible verse and mine also; and I'm sure other conversations have arisen as a result of her willingness to use a tattoo parlor to receive a witness tool.

(Similar to what you mentioned about the lady you met.)

All the young ppl with Bible verses tattooed, with whom I have spoken, seem to have received them as witness tools.

Seems like in these 'last days' conditions, they would have been treating a bit of expense and pain at a tattoo parlor as a joyful opportunity to have a ready made witness tool, anyway.

whether or not you tattoo scripture on your body, it is moot. The gospel is to be HEARD and from HEARING comes faith (Rom.10:17, Gal.3:2, etc.).

A lot of Christians do find that a Scripture /faith based tattoo prompts conversations with ppl.

All the young ppl with Bible verses tattooed, with whom I have spoken, seem to have received them as witness tools, anyway.
