The ancient rainbow parade of antichrist in 168 B.C. and the modern LGBTQ movement

      Many believers who study prophecy and last days events are aware that there was an archetype of the antichrist (Antiochus IV) who set up an abomination of desolation around 168 B.C in Jerusalem.  Yet, few Christians are aware that he also imposed upon the people of God sexual abominations, eerily similar to what we see happening in our time.

     A new book “The Last Days Pride Parade and the Return of the Lord” draws on Biblical and historic sources such as, Josephus, Tacitus, Hippolytus, the books of the Maccabees. Some of these historic details and prophetic links have been overlooked since the early church.  There can be shown a direct parallel and foreshadowing between the ancient Biblical antichrist to the modern LGBTQ worldwide movement. These major prophetic events were also described in the book of Daniel and mentioned by Christ pertaining to his future return.  The church needs to both understand and be prepared for the challenges that lie ahead so we can stand firm in our faith and shine as lights in this present darkness.      Yes, you are right there is “nothing new” However it was the only other time in recorded history (besides now) when a large-scale sexual agenda was forced upon God's people (Sodom and Gomorrah only involved a few surrounding towns).  This agenda (as the book sets forth)  included parts of Asia Minor, Syria, the Middle East and down to Egypt.

       And the fact that is all happened to occur at the time when an abomination of desolation happened in Jerusalem has serious last days implications.

The one behind it was obviously Satan, but why do you suppose pushing all forms of sexual deviance and depravity on all the people, from little children to the oldest among us, is so important to him?

Is it the point of the spear he throws or the shaft that follows the point that is intended as his ultimate goal when he does this?

 Those are good questions. 

I am persuaded that because sexuality/marriage/procreation are such deep and wonderful mysteries in God's plan for humanity, the enemy wants to strike at that, including perverting the children.

I think the whole LGBTQ...XYZ movement and ideology is really like the “point of a spear”, sort of the obvious manifestation of a great increasing lawlessness going on in society, which will lead to "the man of lawlessness" (2 Thess 2) 

BTW there is also evidence that antichrist Antiochus IV was sexually deviant.

In the Septuagint, there is a record of Antiochus IV making an edict regarding God’s people, “make their souls abominable”. One of the means he used was forcing them to march in “parades” to “celebrate” (in today's terms) a queer gender god.

Sound familiar?

This all helps give greater definition to the term abomination of desolation (Matthew 24) and it has serious implications regarding the return of the Lord Christ.

As the book sets forth, the ancient rainbow parade of antichrist (and the defiling of God’s people) in 168 B.C. was part of an abomination of desolation (at that time).  Today's rainbow pride movement, which was foreshadowed in the ancient biblical writings, is a sign that a great tribulation, a final abomination of desolation and the glorious return of the Lord is near.
