I mentioned this in earlier threads and was told not be consumed with too much over thinking that will bring me down, or depressed. I ck to see if a thought was lifting up or tearing down, light vs darkness, and act accordingly by mentally agreeing the thought is wrong or good. My point is that our shield of faith is to stop the fiery darts, which I believe are doubts, lies and deceptions. How else can you recognize something false unless we know the truth, and examine the thought with the truth?

Quote;  Experts estimate that the mind thinks between 60,000 – 80,000 thoughts a day.

That's an average of 2500 – 3,300 thoughts per hour. (41-55 each minute):

                     "Submit yourselves therefore to God.

                            Resist the devil, (thoughts)

                           and he will flee from you"
"Deliverance is from the Holy Spirit  “You were slaves of sin,” , “you became slaves of righteousness.”

A slave obeys his master, and our master says to take every thought captive. To the obedience of our master, Christ.
For myself, this has delivered me from much (thought) sin, which could have led to sinful actions.

Thanks Neighbor...

Well okay, we are now in discussion  on WCF of Deliverance in addition to discussion of Justification Righteousness and Sanctification.

And again the statement has been made it comes by the Holy Spirit as was stated about sanctification. Is that so? Does the Holy Spirit separate in an isolated mission, isolated from Jesus and the Father to sanctify and deliver?

Seems to me it is not so (Not solely of the Holy Spirit), but what say you? What does God reveal in His word the Bible?

2 John 9 Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ has not God. Whoever abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.

Above all these things is love.

Psalm 91:

14 Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.

Luke 6:

46 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say

47 Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them,

I will show you whom he is like:

48 He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid

the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently

against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.

49 But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth

without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately fell.

And the ruin of that house was great.

Righteousness, Justification, and Sanctification- there are several threads on these boards at any given time on these three words; but what of deliverance from sin to righteousness? Seems to me that without deliverance there is but emotion without understanding, perhaps much emotion without real salvation; the emotion  of a tearful confession of sin,  the emotion of a water baptism, various "events" yet none are deliverance.

Deliverance is from the Holy Spirit  “You were slaves of sin,” , “you became slaves of righteousness.”

Hello and greetings, if I might put forth the thought;

Deliverance from sin and becoming a slave of righteousness is the Gospel salvation, to not experience it is leaving something on the table that should not be left…

Scripture puts forth this truth;

‘he that has died is freed from sin’,

This truth and the understanding of it is the way of deliverance out of sin…. For when someone dies they are freed from all the influences of this world, such is what our salvation in Christ consists of; we have died and our lives are hidden with Christ in God…. For all of the receiving of what Christ did for us on the cross is received by faith, it is faith that sees it is no longer I that live but Christ that lives in me….

But this Christ that lives in one will not be experienced as a living reality until one freely with an act of their will chooses to enter into their death in Christ as a constant thing by faith…. For when one sees and is brought to the place where they see that only by their actual death will they ever actually stop sinning, then this glorious truth pushes, forces one in glorious expectation to grab onto by faith their being joined with Christ in both His death and resurrection…

Their death being that thing that brings deliverance from sin, being joined with Him in His resurrection being that thing that makes one a slave to righteousness….

For it is the degree of entering into this truth that will be one’s growing in Christ to be a perfect man, one that lives by faith in Christ living His life in and through….

May we all enter into and experience this truth in a new and wonderful way to the Glory of our great God and Savior who took us both to death and resurrection with Himself, that whosoever would would be able to receive a new life and walk in it….

For Christ waits to give, to any and all that will approach Him by faith; for deliverance from sin and to be made a slave of righteousness….

Thanks for reading, and may God bless if there be any truth in these words, and may you be blessed into your search into the answer your heart longs for….

Unto Him be our all, a fellow brother in Christ and a servant of His, Not me

Hi Not Me, Well said or well articulated.

While I find almost total agreement and encouragement in the presentation I also  find just a touch of well maybe there are those election, foreknown to God, along with being predestined, aspects of individual salvation experience that also fits into what happens to each of us.

Those three words Righteous Justification Sanctification are the components of that fourth word Deliverance. For I am not self made righteous, nor am I self justified, nor self sanctified, by my will nor by my own conscience.  It is of God's and by God's will and doing that salvation has come to me.

God’s salvation is equal to all, God’s calling might be different for the building up of the body, but deliverance and the call to perfection are the same to all….

I hold true that the lowest of calling can have just as high an intimate relationship with Christ as the greatest of calling… For the calling’s are God’s purview, one’s relationship is what one would have…

For the size of the container matters not, only the purity of the product in….

Oh to the purity of the product, blessings, Not me

Our deaths in Christ gets rid of self, this is what Christ came to deliver us from, our very own ‘self’s’

By faith do we grab unto what Christ did, thereby receiving the fruit of His great gift…

Oh to the receiving of the gift, Not me

Deliverance is from the Holy Spirit  “You were slaves of sin,” , “you became slaves of righteousness.”

Upon accepting Christ, the Lord then provides us His Holy Spirit for deliverance from sin. But we have to truly want to be delivered from our sins through repentance in order to become slaves to righteousness and not remain slaves to sin. Otherwise, if we do not earnestly want to be free from our sins, we then just continue to wallow in the mire.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
