The Federal Government Paid Media Outlets to Promote the Covid Vaccine

(Worthy Insights) – The mainstream media’s nearly monolithic coverage of mRNA vaccines and other Covid measures can be at least partially explained by a clear financial interest. Recently, independent journalist Breanna Morello — who left Fox News because of draconian vaccine mandates in New York City — alerted me to a FOIA request filed by the conservative media company TheBlaze, which found a number of major media outlets were paid to promote the Covid vaccine.

Such venues included the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, NBC, CNN, Fox News, and several others. TheBlaze’s report received little coverage — even in conservative media (perhaps because some of those outlets were also paid by HHS) ideologically predisposed to criticize government-fuelled narratives on the pandemic. This has been known for a long time if you get your information outside the MSM, but what I'd like to know is the real reason -the covert reason behind the overt reasons- they did it.

Why was this so very important to them?

I am not in the Usa.. so I am not sure what exactly is being refered to in the OP post?    

However public health campaigns / advertisements encouraging covid vaccinations.. was done by many governments around the world....  So if this is what is being refered to.. I am not sure if I fully understand what the issue is?

Hi @just_abc, good to see you, too. I needed to take a step back for a while from Worthy, but thought I would pop in for a bit the other day.

I traced back through a few of the related links and this is apparently the big concern that was expressed in the linked article.

The US Department of Health and Human Services’ COVID-19 Public Education Campaign states they employed “both paid advertising and media interviews, presentations, radio/TV tours, and other public events to educate people about the importance of vaccination

This is obviously not a bad thing or a new thing. Some of the stories from the Worthy News bot are just plain silly.

Thanks for info about the public education campaign. 

To me that sounds like a normal campaign in many countries I think?    And not just for Covid .. but also for other public health or safety type situations too..  (For example to educate the public on what to do in case of floods etc. )  

Anyways.... Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to look it up and to explain to me.
