Hey VA. Not really following you when it comes to "Not all will come to the Throne". If I take it like I think you mean then a better word would be "most" will not. Christ sit a really high bar "just as I was victorious and set down with my Father on his throne.". So I wonder if we truly understand what He mean when saying "overcome". I think we love to believe we are overcomers but look at the 12. Walked with Christ .. GOD.. for 3 years. To hear everything He said, so many things not written and seeing everything He did yet when push came to shove, when they took Him they all left Him.

Who today can say they saw, heard and even walked hand in hand with Christ? Haha sorry got carried away. But I 100% agree lonely walk. Yet if we could only see in the Spirit to see what is always around us...oh love to

I don't know what percentage of Christians will be caught up to the throne and the percentage that will be taken "to meet the Lord in the air."  I don't believe it is automatic that Christians are overcomers . . .

"But watch yourselves, or your hearts will be weighed down by dissipation, drunkenness, and the worries of life—and that day will spring upon you suddenly like a snare. . .Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”  Luke 21:34 & 36

@TheBlade As an addendum to the above message, a little realization I have about being an overcomer is simply this (BTW - the things of Christ are always simple/childlike): I believe an overcomer is simply one who dies to self* and listens to and follows the speaking of the inner Anointing.

hello TheBlade, remember too that the apostles hadn't yet received the Holy Spirit.

Lonely goes along with not being a friend of the world  I think.  Don't you feel a certain loneliness or disconnect around believers, in that I you fit in too well with them?

I get this though in my case it's mostly my general eccentricity and introverted nature. The original post resonates a lot, though. Being in a leadership position really does expose you to a lot of potential fallout with people, even when you're leading other Christians.

I fit fine in small groups of 3 or 4, anything larger and I get anxious. I haven't attended a Church since the late 80s. I encountered a rough patch of me sinning and falling away for perhaps 10 years. Jesus sought me out and led back into the fold. :)

Very glad that you came back to Jesus my brother!  I need to ask you why you might feel anxious about gathering together in church though . . . if we are justified by Jesus and want to be part of Him, then we should not shun the assembly of believers (church attendance).

I also realize that there can be multiple reasons why people cannot attend, but feeling anxious could just be the enemy not wanting you to be built up and edified or helping your brothers and sisters in Christ. A local church gathering is where scripture says the Eph 4 gifts can be found, and the corporate manifestations of God's Holy Spirit should occur (in whatever form He chooses to use).

IF there is an local church that lifts up Jesus, flows in the Holy Spirit, and proclaims the truth of God's Word, I highly recommend that you attend it in addition to your small group setting.

Just saying what I have personal experience with.

Grace and Peace to you and yours . . . Ray . . .

Thank you Ray12614 for your concern. I keep the Saturday Sabbath and have a hard time finding a church that does too. The SDA keep the Sabbath but I'm in disagreement concerning Ellen G. White. I've prayed about this and haven't received an answer.

I have found over the years that when I don't receive answers to questions I have, that sometimes I am building in my personal wants and beliefs about what I am asking for. For example, growing up Lutheran, my church believed in trans substantiation whereby the communion bread actually becomes the body of Christ, and the juice becomes the actual blood of Jesus. This is because they misunderstood the symbolic teaching of Jesus at the last supper, and then they made a doctrine out of it. I think this goes back into church history a long way back. Never the less, it is wrong and until I read and understood the scripture teaching myself I swallowed it as truth, when in fact it was not true. It did not really hurt anything concerning salvation, but, was an mis-application of scripture based on the mis-understanding of Jesus' words, and IF I used that teaching as an basis for attending various churches, I would still be Lutheran today.

If you can hear it . . . may I suggest that you re-visit the NT scriptures regarding your belief that Saturday is the only day for the church to gather together for corporate assembly? It would open up your choices as far as finding the church family that God has called you to gather with . . . just saying . . .

Well I strongly believe That Paul was talking about the annual High Holy days when he mentions the Sabbath, because two places in Rev., 12:17 and 14:12 clearly mention Commandment keepers. Number 4 Commandment being to remember the Sabbath day. Also in Genesis at the end of creation week God rested thereby Creating the day of rest and declared it Holy. He never rescinded the Holiness aspect of the weekly Sabbath, and He himself observed the weekly Sabbath. If it's good enough for Jesus. it's good enough for me.

To me James 4:17 applies here.

Matthew 5:19 to contemplate.

Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

The Sabbath also performs as an inoculation against secularism for me on a weekly basis.

I am very much at peace with my relationship with the Head of the Church.

Afterall, they were written in stone.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
