p.s.- Still, there are no Palestinians. The land belongs to Israel by way of the oldest recorded land grant.

So true.  I believe they are actually of the Arabian race.  At least those who are not of Hebrew origins.  But actually, we all came from the loins of Noah and his sons who settled the area after the flood.  It's weird how so many people screaming and yelling to save Palestine have very, very little knowledge that there is no Palestinian people or race.

Don't think so. Jesus said don't take the sword and love your enemy. That's close to what he says.

Yes. Sometimes it almost seems as if American Christians think we are Israelites or something. WE are allies with them so maybe it's that kind of an investment.  But I never read in the bible that anyone but GOD really defends Israel, and that same God loves all.

In Revelation 12 it says that they go to a safe place on the wings of an eagle. I thought that was America.

I'm still glad that the Canadians, English and Americans saved us. What if they had done nothing? Not all Germans were evil, but they had to be stopped. Israel now protects itself. God also protects them as you can see on those youtube videos.

Christians are called to be martyrs and not fight back, but not Israel. The christian thing to do is give your life to save them. As the dad from Corrie ten Boom said: It would be an honor to die for God's people.

We all know this ancient hatred for one another originated between Esau and Jacob (Israel). Muslims erroneously believe Esau was covenanted and promised the land.

I love that you brought this up.  I just finished reading the story again and seeking wisdom on it.  Rabekah coerced Jacob to lie to Issac and trick him in order to steal the blessing.  He honored his mother's wishes.  We all know what God thinks about liars and deceivers since He has had to deal with the biggest one of all, Lucifer, since almost the beginning of time. I believe any blessing built on lies, treachery and deceit loses its full effect.  God blessed Issac's family because of his covenant with Abraham but it could have been so different.  Human beings have been messing things up since the decision to bite the apple happened.

From the beginning the real truth is that it is all a spiritual journey for each one of us on an individual basis between us and the Father.  Jesus said each one/soul/person MUST be born of the Spirit to enter the kingdom of God.

"Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh.  Whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit." ~ John 3:6

The question was asked of Slibhin who originally said that the people commenting were "a million miles away from the God of the Torah."  She is on a Christian forum but does not believe in Jesus Christ.

But then there was that time Jesus told the disciples to sell their robe and buy a sword. Luke 22:36.

Ecclesiastes 3:8 says, "there is a time to love and a time to hate; a time for war and a time for peace."

And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about: (Exodus 28:33) A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about. (Exodus 28:34)

Have you ever wondered why the Lord was so specific and precise with Tabernacle-Temple materials, measurements, implements, priestly garb, stones, and decorations? I have done a little studying on it.

It would be too long to detail my thoughts, but everything has an earthy symbolic representation of Heaven (the Ark of the Covenant included).

I have wondered what the pomegranate represents. It is not just for decoration; it is symbolic of something or an event. The imagery of the three colors is curious and representative also.

Just something thought-provoking I have pondered.

It represents the Globe with all the Nations of the world as a reminder that the time will come when he will include to himself all the Nations of the world in Jesus Christ.

He named Jacob Israel because in him he included all his children in the blessings of Abraham.

This is why Jesus Christ is called ISRAEL because in him God included unto himself all the Nations of the world.

It also has other meanings as what was happening in the Temple was till the time when the New Covenant will come in which God will reconcile to himself all the Nations of the world.

The New Earth was by the blood of Jesus Christ. All God's people are from all the Nations of the world sanctified and justified by the blood of the Slain Lamb of God who is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ had to die for that to happen.

It was a reminder to the Lord God that he had a mission in frond of him to reconcile the world through the forgiveness of their sins in his blood as the chosen Lamb of God to be slain from before the foundation of the world. Which is telling us that he knew that all along.

That's why he said I am not going to share my Glory with anyone looking forwards to the Glory he will receive from the Father after his death on the Cross as Jesus and his resurrection and his ascension and The Heavenly Father giving him everything he had. Everything in Heaven and on Earth and in all things under the Earth is mine, all authority every where is given to me.

I have the Keys of Death and Hades. Rev:1

Hi Dennis,

Here are some thoughts from an old book I have - `These are the Garments, by C.W. Slemming. `

Quote -The Pomegranates. These were made of blue, purple and scarlet. They acted as pads between each of the bells thus preventing them from clashing against each other with discord.

The pomegranates being fruit most naturally suggest fruitfulness to us. We are given to understand that although the pomegranate is not over appreciated in England, yet it is considered a luscious fruit in the East.

As the apple is the fruit of love, (S. of S. 2) and the grape is the emblem of joy (John 15) so the pomegranate is that which speaks of peace. (Joel 1) Love, joy and peace go together (Gal. 5: 22)

When we see fruit on the hem of the High Priest`s garment we catch a glimpse of Him, Who, with royal robe and the fruit of Peace made by the cross, stands as King of peace and Righteousness, the great Melchisedek

He came as the Prince of peace, He made Peace through His cross, and now He intercedes for us who are those who have peace with God thrugh our Lord Jesus Christ.

Between the pomegranates, the fruit of peace are the Golden Bells ..... unquote.

Maybe we should do a thread on the High Priest`s garments which speak of Christ, His character and His offices.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
