Do you read the Bible?   Even reading short portions at a time will help your mind and spirit.

Did you ever read Ephesians chapter 6 like I suggested before?   You need to contemplate on how to put on the armor of God as stated in Ephesians chapter 6.

I need to read more I'm just really busy. I will try to read more. Like now I have time to read so I will.

And when you read, don't just read hurriedly.   Take a portion of Scripture and let it sink into your mind....that is, meditate upon Scripture.

You can also look for Scriptures to help you with certain things happening in your life.

First, I want to say something that probably someone already wrote here, but I haven't time to read the whole thread post by post: We are all too weak for Christianity. It is in that weakness that Christ can catch us and turn us into someone we by ourselves would never be able to be. When you think you see a good Christian, know that he is only a good Christian because he himself was too weak and allowed Christ to live in himself. That is our strength and it is at your reach too. As you walk to that spot where you let things go and allow Christ to be your sustenance, knowing the Bible will keep you great company. May the Holy Spirit guide you where you need to be.

I found something on Youtube that could be helpfull to you. I admit I am recommending something that wouldn't work for me, but many people are saying that this turned them into a Bible reader: A Prayer Bible. If you search for it, you will find plenty of videos about it. Meanwhile, here it is my clumsy explanation:

How does a Prayer Bible come to be and how does it work?
You get a Bible you don't mind to "change". A thrifted Bible will work perfectly. You then choose topics that are in your mind, like your kids, your goals, and things like: faith, strength, perseverance, God's love, discipline,... (these are just examples). To each topic, you appoint a colour, and of each colour you will do several tags.
Then you will search for verses that fit each of those topics.
Now you can start with the first verse you have chosen.  On the extremity of this verse's page, aligned with that verse, you glue the tag with the colour that matches the theme of that verse.
Keep doing this with the verses you collected.
At the end, you will have a Bible full of tags. For instance, when you are in need of praying for faith, you open the Bible in one of those tags that speak about faith, and you pray with that verse in mind, using what it says to help you with your words, to raise your thoughts and to become more familiar with that verse.

This will allow you to spend time with your Bible, notice verses that you like and want to know more about, this will also make it easier to find comfort directly in God's Word. Maybe it will be easier for you, in a moment of need, to reach the Bible that already has those colours telling you where you will find comfort in that specific situation you are going through.

I am collecting materials and a Bible to give to my father's wife as a gift. I may not do it myself, but I do think it may be a valuable tool.

(Example of a video and channel: "What is a Prayer Bible?" by The Sisterita Club — I don't know her channel besides this, but she has several videos about this topic. Many of her followers have done videos showing their own Prayer Bibles and how they adapted the idea to their own needs.)

I'm keeping you in my prayers with care and love. You will get through this. You have people rooting for you here. May God put the warmth in these messages, so they can reach you as a strong hug.

(Sorry for another long message...)

Angry at God and it makes want to stop all of this. Stop believing and go my own way and do my own thing bc I can't seem to not hate Gid when I'm going through a trial or even do the basic which is trust Him.

I'm just so angry with him and I k ow it's wrong but I want to give up.

Hard to respond to your post for anything said to encourage might sound so glib. None the less there is a way and in your case it may take some time, but God can continually do moves to improve your situation. In Habakkuk 3 we see an example of one going through things where EVERYTHING was wrong and getting worse. He still locked into however this one way of thinking.....he was going to walk in joy and praise of God even though everything in his natural mind would almost not be able to accept it. He did it anyway and continued to do so.....to the positive end result that you see below.

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:18Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.19The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. The purpose of Christian prophesy is to encourage believers.

1 Corinthians 14:3
he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men

This word from your "aunt" was not a prophesy from God, but a lie from the accuser of our brethren (Revelation 12:9-10); the father of lies (John 8:44). You should refuse to allow yourself to meditate on lies.

It's time you started learning how to rule over your flesh. This is part of growing up as a Christian.

Maybe no-one ever taught you that you can decide to walk in peace and not anger. You can decide to forbid anger any permission to steal your time and energy. It won't be easy at the start - since your flesh is conditioned to getting its own way. Though it sounds like God has organized ample opportunity for you to practice.

Assuming you make that decision:

When anger comes to steal your time, you refuse it - you tell it "No - I am not going to think about that issue in that way". You remind your flesh that Jesus has given you peace (John 14:27), and you are choosing that peace. Furthermore, you have His joy to strengthen you (Nehemiah 8:10). That is, find appropriate, encouraging scriptures to quote at your anger - to put your flesh back in its place. This is how we renew our minds (Romans 12:2); to bring our thoughts into line with God (2 Corinthians 10:5).

To be very clear, it won't be easy. You will do the right thing - only to find yourself thinking about it 30 seconds later. Your flesh will push against it all the way. But it's all practice - till we get stronger, and eventually overcome. Ask God for His help over and over - since we can only change by His Spirit, and not our own efforts.

Zechariah 4:6
... ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Romans 8:31
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Luke 1:37
For with God nothing will be impossible.

Hi @Tristen In the light of the Resurrection (from which the Lord's Coming indeed springs), I do love the way 1 Corinthians 15.57 leads to the call to steadfastness in 1 Corinthians 15.58, 'always abounding in the work of the Lord'.

Oh indeed, @Debp ; good to know that "all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us" (2 Corinthians 1.20).

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
