??? Will I????

Nope. James addressed that topic at length. Even the devils "believe" in Jesus, and they have a one way ticket to hell.

James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Yup I agree. Even the devil believes in Jesus. You need to do more then just believe. You have to act on that belief and accept Him as Lord of your life. When you do that, living a christian life will not be a struggle. Don't play with your eternal soul Daughter, remember, "Your soul may be required this very night".

Then you are the true witness to people like DOK. Words don't always convince, particularly when the view is that a Christian life is boring, dull, and unhappy, when in reality you show that it is not.

Hi,

If u trully believe in Christ Jesus, u will surely live Christlike!!!

God does not want lukewarmness. Its all or nothing, ur either 4 him or against him. U cant serve 2 masters. Either ur 4 God all the way living right, or ur of the world serving the evil one.

I am talking more out of experience and the choices i had 2 make.

God bless!!!

Heavenlyfavoured hit the nail on the head about the luke-warmness!

Rev 3:15

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

Rev 3:16

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

These two verses are reference to the church of Laodicea, the church of the end of times. This can apply to individuals too. If you believe in Jesus but do not live a Christian life then you'd fall under these verses, note: "I will spue thee out of my mouth."

You will be rejected.

There are no half measure when it comes to Christianity, no sitting on the fence. Plainly put - it's His way or hell way. But why choose hell way anyway?

God Bless

If I am a trained airline pilot, but do not live, train, obey, act or serve as an airline pilot, would you kindly still permit me to fly a 747 with you on board?

Only if the real pilot had a heart attack while at the drivers seat. :)

John 14:15 - "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." James 2:19

"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning ..." 1 John 3:8

"If you love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15

"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? ..... Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man ..... And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man ..." Matthew 7:21-27

Read the whole context in Matthew. It tells you what Jesus said about those who don't live up to his standards. He will say that He never knew them. Why? Is He being cruel? No, it's because they never really knew Him. They never spent the time to get to know Him and love Him and serve Him as true lovers of truth.

Those Scriptures seem pretty plain to me.

Actually, your analogy doesn't seem to quite fit. Perhaps a more apporpriate analogy would be: Yes, I believe that I am an airline pilot!! I believe I can fly. I believe. I believe. I'm professing it with my mouth. There's no training involved because that would be a lack of faith so get in and I'll take you to any destination you want. Let's go!!

In reality, yes, we believe and God forgives us but it takes a lifetime of living in obedience to His will to get there. It says of Jesus Himself that "being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross." Philippians 2:8 Peter says that Jesus left us an example, that we should follow in His footsteps. If it was the way for Him, it's the way for us. We may not be crucified on a cross as in Roman times, but if we're living godly, we'll die many times over through persecutions and hatreds of those opposed to doing God's will.

Why not? The rest do.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
