As a veteran, American, and patriot, I get angry, agitated, and worked up with the political witch hunts, perverting jury prudence and utilizing the liberal courts to persecute political opponents.

The lies, deceptions, and irresponsibility have reached new heights. The buck does not stop here; everything is blamed on Trump and us baskets of deplorables. I no longer have any confidence in legal and fair elections. What I do have confidence in is the following:

Daniel 2:21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

As with many Biblical examples, God appoints and sets leaders to carry out His program for His glory, plans, and purposes. Many times, God has turned a nation over to their evil desires, with remedial judgment or destruction soon following without repentance.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

I suspect we live at the tail end of the last few days, the Laodicean church age. I believe the prophetic time clock for our generation began on May 14, 1948. Given the state of the churches today, will God’s people humble themselves, repent and earnestly seek the Lord?

As Christian soldiers, we do not roll over and play dead or sing Que Sera, Sera. With the Constitutional Republic, we have been placed in, we legally vote for the BEST candidate representing our beliefs, morals, and values. We are not voting for a pastor or clergy.

Until the perfect government arrives at the second advent, the return of our Lord and Savior, we can vote in good conscience for what is presented to us through our system of government. We have a voice in the outcome of lesser evils and ideologies.

Not voting because of irrational moral convictions tabulates to a vote for Que Sera, Sera, and the eviler.

Things really are just as they are supposed to be. Jesus told us they would be this way so that when it comes we would not lose faith. Just remember, He's coming.

I'm looking forward to that as well. Maybe it's just because I strongly dislike the two candidates who have been shoved down our throats but this pre-election season feels even more tiresome and full of manufactured nonsense than usual to my observation.

Glad to hear that . . . . now we pray against stolen votes to seal the deal so to speak. Win or lose we at least were guardians of our individual votes and others won't use them in our absence. Hopefully more reading this will do the same. 

I heard a quote from somebody who said voting for lesser of evils is the only thing that can happen unless Jesus is on the ballot. And I agree with that statement. We will always be voting for lesser of evils as long as men are on the ballot. Like the movie and commercial says . . . Choose wisely my friends . . . .

Are not ALL leaders appointed by God? Choose as each may choose yet it is God that appoints all leaders. ALL! Is it not? And who was Paul under as  Roman citizen when God inspired himto write that to the church body at Rome?

From Romans 13 ..." Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.  For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.  For he is God’s minister to you for good. I do think that if Donald Trump wins  and is handily elected that Harris herself will be relieved. But I do also think that  the powers behind the screen might topple President Biden and use President Harris from Nov 6, 2024 to Jan. 20, 2025 in  a manner that will bring about a real civil war and likely destruction of the USA as a union of States by foreign and domestic enemies.

Way out there? I do hope so.

Question is, come what may... will we follow 2 Chronicles 7:14?

Or will we only try to make America rich / richer (while paying no attention to the moral or spiritual climate whatsoever)?

America was founded as a nation of Christians chartering a deliberately Christian course through life. 80 years later the world was

amazed by the prosperity and well being of this junior upstart nation when Alexi De Tocqueville penned the phrase  "America is great because..."

The goodness he spoke of is the result of the deliberations of the founding fathers and the basis of American law and society.

Christianity was not forced on anyone as a faith, but it was enforced in principle which the world benefited from not only with the republic (often

mistakenly called democracy) but also the charity of the American people who under the remarks of President Truman when asked why America should help Europe

rebuild after two world wars... "Love thy neighbor..."

But we've tolerated / indulged in the chipping away of that moral base over the 70 + years since then...

getting rid of prayer in schools, forgetting that the first public school textbook was the Bible

allowing atheistic humanism to be taught in schools

championing world religions over Christianity

the sexual revolution

child abuse

etc.

Now consider the immoral climate cesspool we must all wade through daily growing worse and worse.

What are we going to do about it all if we are given another opportunity?

Sodom and Gomorrah as usual? Or

It doesn't even have to be everyone... just God's people who are called by his name.

We can only pray it all subsides and there is peace in the land!  And that also depends upon if one wins decisively so that there isn't all the contesting the election nonsense (guess there could be any-a-ways).

I was almost equally repulsed by both candidates.  One gifted brother I know personally, and greatly respect, has gone out on a limb and declared that God has selected Trump for the next POTUS and even put that declaration in a recent book he wrote.  This brother has spoken often about the fallacy of date setting, and this isn't exactly that, but it will be pretty embarrassing (in the least) if he is wrong.

I am prepared for either to win. And I've prayed much that the Lord would handle the whole election and that His will be done with regards to who is the new POTUS.  He moved Cyrus to do His will, so he can certainly have his will with whoever He choses!
