But no, in context it probably was closer to being called out as Little Rocket  Man. 

That's our Trump. He is what he is and that's all that he is. He's Trumpy the "chopper" man. Toot toot.

Canada is not really treating the US fairly with the terrifs between our countries. He isn't happy with that, plus we don't like your PM's wokeness. Trump is just speaking his mind as he does with just about everything.

It started with Pres. Trump telling PM Trudeau that Canada has failed the U.S. border by allowing large amounts of drugs and people across the border, including illegal immigrants from over 70 different countries. As such, he threated to impose 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico over their failures to curb the flow of illegal immigrants and illicit drugs from those countries into the U.S.

PM Trudeau's response was that new tariffs would kill the Canadian economy. So Trump responded/joked (aka trolling) to him that if Canada can’t survive without ripping off the U.S. to the tune of $100bn a year then maybe Canada should become the 51st state and Trudeau could become its governor!

This Truth post came after this meeting. He's just trolling. There is no way a president of the US could annex a country with the flick of a pen!

Hi @nebula The way it works in Canada is that King Charles's representative the Governor-General would appoint any new Prime Minister that has the support of a majority in the Federal Parliament.

Trump recently joked that Canada should become the 51st state, even suggesting it directly to Trudeau during their dinner at Mar-a-Lago, Fox News reported.

Trudeau later told reporters that his conversation with Trump had been "excellent" but didn't comment beyond that.

But on Sunday, the president-elect told NBC’s Meet the Press, "We’re subsidizing Canada to the tune of over $100 billion a year. We’re subsidizing Mexico for almost $300 billion. We shouldn’t be — why are we subsidizing these countries? If we’re going to subsidize them, let them become a state."
