What does Psa 50:10 have to do with Rev 20?  Nothing at all.  Grasping at straws.  Oh, oops.  That would be a metaphor for desperation.  My bad.

Smart Alec! But I'm sure @Jaydub would agree that was pretty funny & witty!!!!

I'll tell you the Truth, after many years of studying the Book of Revelation I still scratch my head about things I was positively convinced of at one time and then I'm totally positively convinced of something else at another time and then I'm not convinced of either other times! But I do my very best to keep an open heart & mind to Revelation by the Awesome Power of Holy Spirit- in which the many things I'm sure of came by Way of- Him!

This life is much like school- from K through 8,9 to 12 ,then College,Post Graduate and Continued education- it never stops until we no longer see dimly, darkly! When we think we know everything that's when we hopefully realize we know very little

If God Gave me a Vision of something that was going to take place in a future time, hundred of years into the future most assuredly I'd have to describe those things unfamiliar to me,things I've never seen before to the things I am familiar with and can compare them to

So when I read Johns description of locusts with human faces I can consider they might be soldiers with helmets and suited in swat type uniforms but not literal insects as they may have looked to John or a representation of intelligence ,creatures with an appearance of deception....there are many ways to interpret visions

His descriptions of what he saw and heard must have been mind blowing to a man from that time period - can you imagine living in ancient times & seeing helicopters flying? Their WINGS sounded like the noise of chariots!

So ,as for me I do believe Scripture in a literal sense for the most part - and I really could see a giant chain wrapped around that hideous serpent of old and a pit opening up out of nowhere in the same way through indirect observation using the EHT has captured images of Sagittarius A..... Invisible things does not mean they do not exist, only our eyes have not seen

Just some thoughts ❤️

Why not look into the origins of your Futurist scheme of interpreting the Apocalypse?

A future literal human man, simple, clear, and before your eyes

(The Number Of A Man) (His Number)

Revelation 13:18KJV

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Luther said, Revelation is mostly symbolic. you said, you disagreed and then you use symbolism to prove your point. I am not arguing your conclusion. It makes no difference if I agree or not, that is not the point. My point is you are looking at the symbols to come to your conclusion.  Here again you do the same thing. you are taking symbolism to come to your conclusion, Beast is symbolic, the number is symbolic, unless you think people are going to have three six's tattooed to their forehead

I agree that Revelation is mostly symbolic, we are to take these symbols to come to a physical conclusion, as you have done. I am not arguing your conclusion. I am simply saying, to make that conclusion you used the symbolism to get there

I believe Revelation is mostly symbolic and I believe that every symbol can have a specific meaning

I'll bet most people are in that boat!  As to the metaphors, etc in Revelation, it was written for those who will be THERE when it all happens.  So they will know what's going on.  Why would anyone BEFORE the Tribulation need to know the future?  We don't.  So there's no need to bother with deciphering every thing in Revelation.

Some topics, such as eschatology, when discussed on forums are peopled by folks who are sure of their own interpretations of things--or at least conduct themselves as if they are. To suggest that another, is doing just what you are (sure he is correct), makes little sense and gains nothing. We can debate the points using scripture while understanding that the other guy is wanting to do the same as you. Let's do so in love and consideration of each of our shortcomings,

In all this time, the churches teach that it's going to be good to be taken. That means you're going to be raptured. No, it doesn't. We are waiting for the Lord to come. After the earth is cleansed those who are alive and remain  will meet Him "in air" ( not in the air, " the" is italicized in the KJV).

This "air" is at the time/ space  the new heavens and the new earth are being created right before us. It is like we are coming out to meet the Lord, not flying away, floating around while Israel is burning red heifers.

The Good are taken.  Once Lot and his family got out of harms way (taken) Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed and all who were left in it.

The Good remain.  Let the tares and wheat grow together, then at the harvest gather/take the tares and burn them.  Which really is separate them.

We will meet the Lord in the air/in air, an area between heaven and earth, then He takes us to His Manson in heaven/Father's House as promised in John 14.

Acts 1:11 - Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking into the sky?  This same Jesus who has been taken from you into heaven will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.

It all depends: But the Righteous are always separated from the Unrighteous.

A little levity can be good. This has been my position for a long time, now and I have typed in many times.

I don't believe anybody alive today understands Revelation, but the original audience did because God provided and anointed members to explain it as it circulated.

It's kinda like solving a puzzle with lots of missing pieces and overlaying the puzzle with guesswork and much imagination. The core of confusion is bringing to Revelation pre-suppositions and then trying to fit pieces to confirm them.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
