Yes, we get saved.  What does God get out of the deal?

I guess that's the 64 million dollar question...? But maybe it's more about what DOESN'T happen that God gets out of it, in that His created children have a means of escape from eternal damnation. Since it is His HOLINESS that is so great and awesome beyond anything we can hardly comprehend that basically can not allow Him to let any form of the unredeemed into His kingdom, even someone who would be considered an occassional sinner and otherwise is a good person. Simple yet still hard to understand and/or accept...

Yes, and as incredibly awesome as being saved from the negative (that is, whatever eternal hell actually is), there is the "much more" (Romans 5) aspect of what we are saved into!

Great question that gets to the heart of the matter. His 'eternal purpose' is realized . God gets a Family after his 'kind'. This is hard to fathom but true. The Law of 'kinds' is immutable. We are gifted with His Nature through Christ. "By bringing many sons to Glory".

Hebrews 2:10   For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

When you examine the explanation of God's Love 1Cor 13 you come away with an infinite reality of no lack, no need, no effort just the pleasure of dispersing of The inexhaustible resource of God's Self... I believe why the only response to God for the wonderful gift of Himself is thanksgiving for there is no debt for the giving just response to the reality... so to answer the question it was never given to get but given because of essence of The Unselfed reality of completeness without end... The giving I believe radiates pleasure in God

Isaiah 46:10 (KJV)

[10] Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

I believe this reality may be thought to an incomplete end for it is written

1 Corinthians 2:9 (KJV)

[9] But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

here it is spelled out specific

1 Corinthians 13:9 (KJV)

[9] For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

[10] But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

[11] When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

[12] For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

[13] And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

We can only relate to begin and end ...thus we must emptied of this self to be able to even start with the things of God... God is in complete control of ending of that which cannot continue to illumine that which can never end... the key is the removal of lie so as it never was nor ever will be...

As it says (and you mentioned) in Ephesians 3 "the greatest of these is love." Since He showed me, a couple decades ago, that His primary MO is love, I like to look at everything through the lens of His love. That is, Yes He has a purpose and will achieve that purpose, but His motivation for this purpose is always His love for us.  (Even the judgements in Revelation are toward rooting out the evil that harms us and mankind's relationship with Him.)

And there's that word: "relationship."  Love has to have others to bestow its wonderful benefits upon. So in His love, He set about to have this grand relationship - the sharing of the incredible relationship with His Son - with all of us.

And to show us how motivated He is to have us in this amazing relationship, He speaks to us in the bible in terms we can understand: His body, His building and His bride! And if we think about it, we realize that in our lives there is nothing that means as much as these things - our bodies, our dwelling places or our spouse!  Therefore, God is conveying to us something so far above our frail, mortal reasoning - He will get us as His children in a very special relationship with Him, that He can lavish His love upon for eternity!

Today we get just a little foretaste of that, as He reveals these things to us, through His indwelling Spirit . . . :applaudit::yeah::shake:

Believe in His Word...

Jesus speaks to His disciples and says "Come, let us go to the otherside", then Jesus boards the boat, lays down and rests (sleeps).  When the storm raged and rocked the boat, the disciples become so afraid they began to doubt with rage.  Look at Him they mocked he's sleeping while we're about to drown.  Jesus said "YOU MEN OF LITTLE FAITH";  less than a mustard seed. If they had faith, they would have done what Jesus was doing...RESTING ON HIS WORD. "Come, let us go to the other side"..."I do what I see my Father in Heaven doing.

Jesus did all the heavy lifting, suffered unthinkable tourment, and just before facing unimaginable death, askes God to forgive us, and in death battles Satan in his own abode, takes the keys of hell away from Satan, and sets the captives free, because we have been redeemed.

Jesus says, seek ye first the kingdom of heaven and all things things shall be added unto you.  If you believe on His word, even the antichrist can't take that away from you.  If God is for you, who can be against you?  Get past your obsticles by putting the word of God first in your life.

God tells Joshua, get the word in you everyday, READ IT EVERY DAY...REST ON IT, and you will prevail.

I like this song.. playing now.. The 99.. "you would search the whole world over to find me. There's no place you wouldn't go You're searching high and low You leave the ninety-nine to lead me home I can't outrun your love There's no road that's long enough You leave the ninety-nine to lead me home"

I was thinking just before that "what message so forth in the word". As I take a step back.. that word is Him. Please no offense I never care for things like "whats your fav verse or person" so forth. Well you get that thought.. oh I better say JESUS haha.

So this case its God so loved the world He gave His only son that who so ever believes in Him will never die but have ever lasting life. Personally? I don't have one.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
