People, please. Is it pretribulation or posttribulation rapture?

I currently believe its posttribulation, but if I'm wrong please let me know with the back-up of Scripture.

Thanks

I realize there is a lot of controversy about pre, mid, or post trib rapture, but really...does it matter, as long as we are ready?

If you are in doubt, prepare yourself for the worst case scenario.

I believe the ''day of the Lord'' will happen almost at the end of the 7 year tribulation, then wrath will come...Just as in the days of Sodom and Noah, Gods elect are moved out of harms way, then immediate destruction comes.

And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man. They were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.

Likewise also as it happened in the days of Lot; they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building; but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.

In the same way it shall be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

In that day, he who shall be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise he who is in the field, let him not turn back for the things left behind. Remember Lot's wife.

(Luk 17:26-32 EMTV)

I believe Jesus will return and very shortly wrath will be poured out because in both of those cases the elect were removed and immediately destruction came.

The passage shows us that it will be the same when Christ returns, leaving me to believe that we will be here right up until just before God pours out His wrath.

The Day of the Lord is when He returns bodily to earth to reign, when He comes with the Trumpet call with the Church, His already-won Bride! That is not the Rapture event. The Rapture is not the return of Christ. The Rapture event is the removal of the Church to make way for the wrath to come.

My belief in the Pre-Trib rapture is founded on several references in the bible. Of those, I find these three to be the most compelling.

1) Rev 3:10 "Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell upon the earth."

If we are meant to go through half or all of the tribulation why would Jesus himself say the HE will keep us from the hour of testing?

2) 1st Thess. 1:10 "And to wait for His Son from Heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come."

Admittedly, this is a controversal passage. Some contend that it means that we are protected by Jesus from those who would harm or defame us to gain for themselves. However, I am of the opinion that throughout the Bible it is referenced to God to protect us from the attacks of satan and those who do his bidding ( Human and Fallen Angle ), but when it specifically says Jesus will protect us, and especially to DELIVER us, it is a reference to delivery from the tribulation.

3) 1st Thess 5:9 " For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ".

I would also like to point out Revelation 19:2

" Because His judgments are True and Righteous; for He has judged the great harlot who was corrupting the earth with her immorality, and He has avenged the blood of his bond-servants on her."

If God's judgments are "True and Righteous" how can God place the same judgments on those who follow Christ and accept His salvation, that he places on those who reject him. To do so would be neither True or Righteous.

On a final thought. Why would Jesus say I come to you as a thief in the night, and that Nobody knows the Day or the Hour when he will come? Since we can pinpoint the start of the Tribulation to the signing of the 7 year treaty with Isreal, we can therefore point out the mid-point of the tribulation as well as the end of the 7 years. With either of the mid or post trib theories we WILL know the day, if not the very hour. The ONLY way that mankind CANNOT know the day or hour is if the rapture is before the tribulation.

It's up for grabs as to one's interpretation, but when I read the scriptures, I am convinced that there is a Pre-tribulation Rapture of the Church.

Either way, we all will know in the end! :emot-pray:

My personal take on the subject is that we should define what the tribulation is. Some think it is the persecution that the anti-christ does believers, and some think it is the seals and vials and trumpets...... some think they are mixed and the same.......

Just a good starting place.

The Tribulation is the 7 year period that takes place starting with the signing of the "Peace Treaty" with Isreal. This "treaty" will allow Isreal to rebuild the temple and start sacrifices to God again. This is the treaty that will be broken after 3 and 1/2 years, at which time the anti-christ will sit in the temple and declare himself as god thus putting an end to sacrifices.

The trib will include the time period of the 21 judgments from God: 7 Seals, 7 trumpets, and 7 vials or bowls.

The Tribulation does not start with the rapture. There is a time period between the rapture and the start of the tribulation, much like the short span of time between the final battle of armeggon ( actually Har Meggido or Mount Meggido) and the 1000 year reign of Christ.

Mind You: This is based on my Pre-Trib belief, my personal study of the Bible ( I dont think that my 1 year of actual hard study qualifies me as an expert, but I do listen to the experts :emot-heartbeat: ) and as with all things to everybody, my PERSONAL beliefs.

God's grace to all! :)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
