All too often Heaven is sometimes incorrectly pictured as a place of never-ending boredom and sameness.  I blame much of this thinking within our generation on the perceptions of Hollywood, and natural-minded worldly authors.

We, as its inhabitants are portrayed as floating around on clouds, wearing long white robes, and playing harps all day.  Or we are depicted as standing forever around the throne of  GOD, mouthing HIS praise in unison for all eternity.  Well, fortunately I don't see it that way!  I'm glad that's NOT the accurate story.  Yes, we'll worship our LORD, and it will be an important and rewarding part of our Heavenly activity.  However, I believe there will be many more significant "gains".  For example, I strongly believe that our minds WON'T wander during prayer as they do now, and we WON'T be thinking about business, television, people we dislike, ballgames, girl/boyfriends, or other less important matters when our full attention should be directed toward GOD.

I fully believe the joys we derive from our FATHER's beautiful world of nature will still be ours, ONLY on a far higher plane.  Here's a thought I shared once with a friend....the delight of our fellowship with others will exceed anything we have ever experienced here on earth.  I think this will be because in our Heavenly home we will know one another PERFECTLY with the mind of CHRIST, and each will be WITHOUT fault.  Now tell me that's not a great thought!!  Our fellowship here daily in this earthly home is often marred by evasion and a covering of our deepest thought, BUT then a wonderful spirit-to-spirit communion (I get quivers thinking about it) of radiant personalities WILL exist!  We'll be busy serving HIM and doing things HE considers important, and we'll be infinitely happy as we do HIS will.

In our eternal home I feel we'll know a life of praise, satisfaction, and usefulness such as we have never experienced here.  The beauty of it all for me is that we will reign with our LORD/SAVIOUR for ALL eternity.  Everytime I read the Apostle John's description of Heaven in the Book of Revelation I believe he did so in highly symbolic language because our vocabulary and mental capacity are TOO LIMITED to comprehend its reality!  In my limited knowledge I do know it will be a city of dazzling, indescribable splendor and exquisite natural beauty.:)

I honestly cannot visualize the full physical glory of it, but it sure is nice just imagining being in it, and sinless, along with being surrounded by sinless people....wow, wonderful companionship and NO TEMPTATIONS from defiling associations.  Come Quickly LORD JESUS!

We get a view of Heaven in Revelations. We can read about it there and speculate based on that.

One of the biggest fears that I had as a kid was that I wouldn't know the words to the songs in heaven!

Hi all,

Remember when you were a little child. Remember how you looked at things with amazement and wonder.A butterfly a firefly the wonder of creation. How big the world seemed to be. How you hung on the words of your parents like they were G-d.

"Suffer not the little children to come unto me, for such is the kingdom of Heaven.

To be innocent again. To be not jaded. To not have to answer a little childs question of "Why doesn't G-d zap the sniper?" I remember the joy of holding my newborn baby daughter. Feeling goodness and accomplishment. Seeing the joy in the grandparents. The kind of joy the Angels and Saints feel in Heaven when someone gets saved.

We have not the faculty to understand. To see the goodness of G-d. The whole of the creation.

Why am I worthy? I believed. He stands between the father and me. He say's "Father find this one is acceptable because of me. This is one of the ones you gave me." I can not shake of the dirt and grime. Yet he can wash me white.Alleluia!

So I will stand there like a child and hang on every word. I will give praise, thanks, and sing of his Glory. I will take in the beauty and majesty of Heaven. I will feel the joy of the Saints and Angels. Not because I'm worthy, but because he was. He will be at the center of Heaven. Look at the full picture of him and then you will see Heaven.

Yes, let's talk of Heaven! All Praise and Glory to Jesus! He paid the Price! Amen.

According to my Bible; Heaven will be right here on earth. Everything will be made new and the oceans will disappear. I figure the whole earth will be a garden tended by everyone who wants to tend it. I don't know what the rest of you are going to do?

I think about the idea of being eternal. If we are eternal? We will have always been eternal. Because eternity has no past and no future. Eternity is an endless now.

Kind of makes one wonder why Christians cry at the funeral of a departed Christian? Doesn

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
