Dear Wordsower,

You took the words right out of my mouth! Amen to what you said. We can be fed and nourished by spending time with the Lord in His Word and prayer. And I would have suggested those very same Books!

:o

Find comfort there C4C.

In His Love,

Suzanne

C4C:

Thank our FATHER that HE allowed this to happen to YOU! Your actions leading you to make this thread should confirm to you that you belong to HIM. *smile*

Word of brotherly advice....pay close attention to the Believers in the Bible. Our FATHER never hid their shortcomings from us. MOSES got angry, DAVID was an adulterer/murderer, RAHAB was a harlot, PETER was a liar and "cursed/profaned" those sitting by a fire while our LORD was before the Sanhedrin (sp), ABRAHAM also was a liar! How about JAMES and JOHN (Sons of Thunder) being puffed up with Pride?!! SAMSON was a playboy (before the magazine was ever created).

AARON was the first man chosen by our FATHER to make priestly sacrifices for sin on behalf of the people, YET even while the pattern of his beautiful garments was being revealed to his brother Moses, he was the VERY one who was leading the nation into deep sin! How about ADAM's disobedience??!! Didn't THOMAS doubt even AFTER he walked with the LORD for THREE YEARS???

Wasn't it LOT who slept with his own daughters? How about MIRIAM being jealous of her brother Moses?? How about JONAH's cowardice act?? I could go on and on, but I know you've got my point by now!! *BIG grin* YOU are human and imperfect, therefore until CHRIST returns for you (and I), there will always be some showing of weakness (sinfully).

What YOU never want to forget is HEBREWS 4:14-16....NEVER forget these verses!!! They will remind YOU that HE KNOWS YOU BETTER than anyone else in this world.....and HE understands what you're going through. Accept HIS discipline, grace and mercy. I concur with the previous posters about reading HIS Word. Ask HIM for true wisdom in ALL your endeavors. That wisdom will not be gained from others, nor from yourself. It won't be a product of intellect, education, experience or long, slow steady thinking. It comes from above. It is achieved NOT by your striving, BUT by your hungering and praying for it, and then......patiently waiting. *wink*

Even though we fail, HE'll NEVER fail YOU! :o

Hey C4C! I'm glad you're back little brother. :o Did ya miss me? :bg:

:o

AND, DITTO what WISDOM said!

You are dear to my heart little brother. You're going through some stuff right now, and that just means I have company! :P Seriously, this happens to all of us at one point or another. That's because we're not a finished product and we do live in a world full of stife and sin. BUT, our victory is not in our actions, little brother, but in what Jesus did. We belong to HIM and He's not going to let us go.

If you need anything, holler at me! :o

Good to see ya back brother,

Victory has been won, turn it over to Jesus bro.

Its not how many times a person falls, but how many times one gets back up that the Lord looks at. For this is what builds character in a person and maturity.

Look at David, and yet the Lord said he was a man after His own heart.

Look at Peter, One minute Christ is giving him the keys next he is rebuking him for looking out after the interest of man and not Gods.

Its funny, this same advise was given to me not even 2 weeks ago by my pastor.

Know this crusader, these same conflicts are being suffered by others as well, and God allows us to go through them in order that we may help others who may suffer the same way.

Very good to see ya back!

God bless,

Kevin

if i can add my two cents to this . . .

Growing in Christ has proved to be everything i never thought it would be. challenging and yet exciting at the same time. i worked in a restaurant with a whole bunch of high-school kids who swear A LOT , unashamedly, and during that time (early this year) my relationship with Jesus wasn't at its best cos since i was around people who were extremly worldy i found myself gradually falling into their pit. i began swearing and all and i had stopped watching TV and listening to secular music but the pressure was just so much (it didnt feel like pressure but now i realise it was) that i went back again. i began not praying before bed and reading the bible at all. i could for days without even touching the word !!

long story short . . . as someone said earlier . . God will never let what is His fall out of His hand. we might feel like its that way but Jesus said i will NEVER leave u nor forsake u. i have now started to watch what comes out of this mouth and sometimes when my mom yells at me i findmyself swearing in my head. i take that as a step forward cos its not verbal anymore and i am not hurting anyone in that way. and i thank God that it doesn't happen everytime i am stressed or whatever. now when i find myself really angry i just keep forcing myself to acknowledge that God is behind everything that happens in a believers life and this might very well be a test from Him.

boy do i ramble . . .

no but seriously this time . . long story really super-shortened . . . 1john 1 :9 IF we confess our sins He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness !! isn't that such and awesome truth :o

GOd doesn't like it when the same mouth that talks of His goodness is the same one that professes disgusting things and i tell myself this almost everytime my head wants to say something nasty. i wish i could say it worked everytime but i know that my shortcomings will one day be a thing of the past.

there . . done

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
