OH NOOOOOOOO! Someone said the B. H. word!!!!!

Around here that's always a sure invite for the rabidness of those who can forgive ANYTHING except success!

Wow, accusatory AND a non-sequitor...how truly disgusting! Like looking at a remarkably well-formed chub of phlegm...you're impressed and repelled at the same time!

Bravo!

Thank you. I am gratified you noticed how much I am able to pack into one short statement! "Like looking at a remarkably well-formed chub of phlegm...you're impressed and repelled at the same time!" That is GOOD WRITING!

The sources of BH's corruption are endless. At some point we have to judge the fruits.

Wow. Where to begin. You are "less suspicious of Benny Hinn"? As bad as the Toronto Blessing scam was, I am sort of dumbfounded that anyone could be less suspicious of Hinn than anyone other than the devil himself. The biggest problem with Hinn is that his entire ministry has exactly nothing to do with Christianity and everything to do with greed, excess, hucksterism and bad theater. TBN is loaded with devils but Hinn must rank near the very top of the list.

sw

I guess somewhere in the Bible, God appointed you as judge and jury. I must have missed that passage. I have a close family member who was healed in a Hinn crusade. Medically documented. She was in wheel chair and could not walk. Could not straighten up because of degenerative bone condition. She was healed in one of Hinn's Atlanta Crusades. She got out of the wheel chair and was instantly healed. She is walking, and has no signs of the disease. Someone must have forgotten to tell God that He can not work through Benny Hinn because you do not approve of Hinn.

What is Word of Faith and why is it heretical? I always just considered it a nasty label some Christians use for other Christians. It is never used in a kind way, that's for sure! Maybe we should start another thread?

My goodness, I'm suprised you don't know, you're so well spoken in all of our disagreements.... anyway, I can start a new thread cause i think Word of Faith and the Toronto Blessing were connected (ppl who believe one will be more likely to believe the other) but I don't think they are the same thing.

BTW, I don't think I ever said how much I like your nic.

These threads like these generally end up in a heated debate and have to be closed. I looked up a few of the old threads and figured I'd post a link to those:

Benny Hinn thread

Another Benny thread

Word of Faith thread

Another WOF topic

Yet another WOF thread

Yet another Benny Hinn topic

You should be more then just a little suspicious of Benny Hin. I can promise you that there has to be a lot of money involved for him our he wouldn't be there. I live in Southern California and this man has a 6 million dollar house on the beach, a private jet a fleet of Roll Royces and a mess of body guards. I have a friend who is wonderful christian, that drove truck for Mr. Hinn and Randy quit because he couldn't stand to see what was going on at his crusades. His suits cost more then most of us have in our checking accounts and I can promise you if his ministry didn't turn a dime he would close it down in a New Your minute. There are other ones like him out there like Mike Murdock, Chalres Tilton, and Creflo Dollar, Fredrick Price, W.V Grant, but none that make the kind of money he does all in the name of faith. I puts a bad name of all the good ones like Billy Graham. We can also add Oral Roberts to the list. I remember hearing him preach about pators that were divorced and that they should not be allowed in a pulpit because if they can't keep their families together how can they keep a church together. However when his son Richard left his wife, had a affair and then married this woman he was allowed to continue to preach. We need to be able to seperate the good ones who are really doing God's work. If we are in tune spiritually we should be able to do that.

John Wimber, I believe his name is, has been the head pastor there for many years. The last time I saw their program on vision TV, it was still John Wimber calling the shots. I used to be a member of one of their "partners in harvest" satellite churchs. John wimber would come to North Bay quite often with his family and help the pastor with these new "spiritual experiences". It started off as a vineyard church but they split when the airport thing happened. We left that church because of all the wierdness that started happening. (quack like a duck, bark like a dog, witch hunting etc.). It became a very dark church. When my son was born we took him there to have him dedicated. As soon as we tried to hand him over to the pastor, he began wailing uncontrolabley. We took him out of the church and he calmed right down. This was one sign that this church was no longer for us. Also the pastors wife seemed to be the one calling the shots, which I thought was wierd.

I could go on but I think I won't.

Well, whatever your opinion of Wimber, he's been dead for years! Died quite young......

Beg your pardon. :)

It was actually John Arnott.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
