90 MINUTES????

Don't you mean 90 seconds?

The human brain can't last more than 3 minutes without oxygen.

Hi Ovedya,

I'm on the fence where "near death" experiences are concerned, so I'm not arguing either side.

Just a thought...people have been known to survive after being submerged in water for much longer than 3 minutes due to the cold. So it is possible, even humanly speaking, if it were cold out.

Like I said, just a thought. :emot-hug:

Peace,

Fiosh

I believe it happened and my friend recently hear the story from the perspective of the person who God asked to pray for him. She said it was great.

WSB,

Yeah, but you forgot Jesus raised a man named Lazarus form the dead just a few days later. He also raised several other people from the dead during his earthly ministry, and there are at least two resurections performed by Old Testament prophets. Plus it prophesies at least two more resurrections in the Tribulation time. No doubt some of these people, Like Lazarus who wad DEAD for 4 days before he was resurrected, had seen departed saints. If Lazarus went to paradise during the 4 days, he likely saw other Old Testament saints. This would have been quite a testamony of the power and authenticity of Jesus.

I see no scriptural reason why resurrections shouldn't happen today.

That being said, we know that if any such dream or experience is of God, then it will glorify God and specificly point people to Jesus and the cross.

WSB,

I know that God can do whatever He wants and I'm not putting Him in a box but I'm always very careful when I hear of visions and dreams.....by he way I had a dream some couple of months ago you want to hear it? :whistling:

Be open minded guys. Let's not put God in a box. If He can heal a blind man who never had sight, what can He not do? I believe we have experiences with God as far as we allow ourselves to believe. And yes Jesus did raise Lazarus from the dead. That was way longer than 90 seconds.

I'm not as smart as you guys and I really don't want a debate over this issue. I can say I have had many experiences with God and from your comments you wouldn't believe me if I shared them. I am sure I will be ignored as I have been on several posts. Still, I want to hang out with you for a while. I am learning so much from you.

I believe you sis, with all my heart. Be confident and know that what you experienced was your gift. The one comon denominator is that both you and Don Piper said the angels had no bodies. Streets of gold, crowns, etc... choose to believe what you want but when I hear similar stories, I do believe that when our heart stops, the spirit leaves the body to a higher plane, just depends on what level plane you go to.

Do not let anyone tell you your experience wasn't real. :24:

Now don't take offense anyone, not saying that anyone is saying that her experience wasn't real m'kay?

 macqueenies spreading the love!

James 3:18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Betty Maltz was gone for over 45 minutes. The life support had been removed. I think you can still get her book. My Glimps Of Eternity. God can do anything including support our brains without O2.

90 minutes is a long time in human terms....

there have been many reported drownings that the person was under water for over 30 minutes. These being cold water drownings, which slow the metabolic rate down so slow that the body is not using the O2 as we think about it.... i have done just over 5 minutes at the bottom of a pool on purpose, and have been close to drowning, close enough that if gone just a few seconds longer would have.

I am a skeptic, and like to see proof...... I believe it is possible, for even less then 100 years ago, a man took a corpse out of a coffin and proped it up in the corner of a wall and commanded it to walk.....

it slumped down, he stood it back up and commanded...... In the Name of Jesus, I command you to walk..... it slumped back down.... he did it one more time and it began walking......

one man of God, has been documented with bringing over 20 people back from death, including his own wife..... some of them were days not just 90 minutes....

90 minutes, yes, it is a long time.... for us.... for God? not even a blink of an eye..... possible? yes,

probable? yes, even though i have not seen it, i believe, for I have seen...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
