Oprah Worship: Is there such a thing?

I am amazed at how many Chrsitians want people to go to Hell with a full belly or a big car. That'll make it nice and comfy down there.

for the Record... Oprah is not going to worship any jealous Gods. Guess He's sorry He wrote that now eh?

No not really you see God will use anybody to help people here on earth and I am not trying to get points with anyone! Or an atta boy! The fact remains Jesus came to help the needy, the broken hearted, in others words the poor! Sorry to say we live in a material world no matter what you do you have to have money to survive! Or a car, a house, clothes, food, etc. If you do not think these things a necessity try living without them for a while! If the churches will not supply them God will find a way even if he uses the ungodly! I am not to Judge anybody not even you or Oprah. God is the Judge and he is in control just ask him! I didn't know money and a full belly would send people to hell. I thought people went to hell because they did not confess Jesus Lord and believe in there heart God raised him from the dead. You see its all backwards! The church is supposed to do like Oprah! Why does it not feed the hungry, give houses to the homeless, care for the elderly and so on! I can tell you why! Because the spirit of the living God is not in it! Please God wake us up again so we can do these things for your people and spread your word outside the church to save the lost!

I am all in favour of people receiving blessings. My concern with this situation is that Oprah will not permit the name of Jesus to come into this. What good is a car or a house beyond the grave? If you deny people access to Jesus by your editing process I am free to discern that you are doing the work of Satan. This reminds me of the prosperity doctrine types. Why would Christians just assume that it is God who supplies her with wealth, power and influence. She does more for the cause of Satan than Phelps does.

She is a New Ager and proud of it. Once again, there are only 2 religions in the world; the true and the false. Oprah has made her choice and she has made it clear she does not choose Jesus.

She may come to repentance at some point in time - that should be our prayer for her at all times.

Well, she has some very deep pockets, but she also shares most generously out of them. She is doing a lot of good works in Africa. It's rare someone in such a liberal mold is generous with their own money; usually they want to be generous with YOUR money.

This doesn't mean she's saved, but let us give credit where credit is due: There is a decided noble streak in the girl! And despite her politics, I just can't help but like her for her genuine generosity.

Though we should give credit where it is due, and Oprah has done some amazing things helping those in need, we should never forgo a person's philosophy on life.

It's kind of like, just because you admire a person's actions doesn't mean they should get a free ride on what they believe, and visa versa.

I know this will spark debate among the many Oprah worshippers and fans out there.

I don't dismiss the fine things she's done for certain parts of humanity. But she puts herself on a pedastal, congratulates herself and gives little or no glory to our Lord for the provisions she's been blessed with. Even secular media recognizes this.

How do you know this for sure! I don't see any churches giving away houses to people who need them, further more not much of anything else! Maybe there is a lesson here! I will pray for Oprah and ask the holly spirit to help her keep up the good work and if She is not saved I will pray for that to, but in the mean time way to go Oprah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
