Biblical basis for no rapture?

The biblical basis for no rapture is. The word is not in the bible. and was invented by people whose prophecy failed.

These passages posted earlier by someone (forgot) is the reason why I am NOT pre-trib. Pre-trib speaks of a secret rapture, twinkling of an eye, very quiet and the leftover people will not be aware but notice what scripture says....

Matt 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Mark 13:26-27

26And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. 27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

Luke 21:27-28

27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

1Thess 4:16-17:

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The Bible is quite clear in it's teaching of the rapture. Believers who have been saved by the grace of God will be caught up in the air to be with the Lord in heaven.I believe that, that day will be coming soon and the Bible tells us to be watching and waiting.

Look up if you know Jesus as your personal Saviour for that day is coming soon.

The verses yiou have mentioned BoldlyProclaimer of Christ relate to the Second Coming of our Lord. There are two distinct events.

The rapture and the second coming.

I agree that there is a "rapture", which comes from the Greek word "rapio" meaning "the catching away or the catching up" OF THOSE WHO ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN. It follows the FIRST RESURRECTION of the dead which occurs at the LAST TRUMPET. Please look these things up and present your arguments, which of course have already been responded to on this Forum numerous times.

To arrive at the position of a post- trib rapture one has to believe in replacement theology,that the church has replaced Israel.

The seventieth week in Daniel will precede the second coming. the seventieth week + ntribulation period.

references in scripture to this period of time.

1. wrath - Rev 6:16-17, 11:18, 14:19, 15:1,7; 16:1,19; 1 Thess 1:9-10, 5:9; Zeph 1:15, 18

2. judgement - Rev 14:7, 15:4, 16:5-7, 19:2

3. indignation - Isa 26:20-21, 34:1-3

4. punishment - Isa 24:20-21

5. hour of trial - Rev 3:10

6. hour of trouble - Jer 30:7

7. destruction - Joel 1:15

8. darkness - Joel 2:2, Zeph 1:14-18, Amos 5:18

Read 1 Thessolonians 5:9.

1Th 5:9 For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

So Christians asre not to experience the wrath.

1Th 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall ever be with the Lord.

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

It happens in a moment in a twinkling of an eye.

1Th 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

The rapture is clearly pre-wrath.and pre tribulation.

It appears that you have not taken the time to read through ALL the posts in this Eschatology Forum. If so, you would find the appropriate response to your FALSE assumptions. You have bought into a lie and for this I am very sorry for you.

I, for one, base my eschatology view ON Daniel 9 and the 490 years wherein Israel is to be made "right with God". You will find a fuller explanation in other threads in this forum section, but if you have specific questions, I would be pleased to answer them.

In some circles in the secular world, people have seen spacecraft that are more than a mile in diameter, perhaps larger. I would imagine there is plenty of room there for all the Pre-tribs. Once the alien's super duper zapper ray "catches up" all you guys, the Lord is going to take the rest of us believers to Petra where we will wait out the "tribulation" in peace & comfort. The pre-tribs will go to a place somewhere out in outer space where they can start a new civilization and begin all over again populating their new world. While we wait for the Lord to come and take up residence on this earth and then WE shall reign with him for 1,000 years in our Glorified Bodies.

Hope you pre-tribs have fun somewhere out there.

After watching that Twilight Zone show bout the ET's coming down here and taking us away to a new land and the book they had that was discovered with the title "To Serve Man", and it turning out to be a cook book; I'd really have trouble hopping into a space ship and going off to anywhere.

However, there are getting to be more and more people seeing very large triangle ships at night. Makes you wonder what the Air Force is up to.

How about this:

Alien space ship lands on the White House Lawn and the anti-christ gets out and tells us all that his race actually created humans as an experiment and God didn't have anything to do with it. He is the big dog of the ET's and we are to be subservient to him........ A little fire from heaven, some fallen angel super tricks and most of the world would buy it hook line and sinker.

So don't quite rule out those flying saucers as a total crazy. Anything is possible for the end deception, and we really have no idea what the military has been building for the past 50 years
