Even if she was still a teenager and under his roof, he couldn't watch her 24 hours a day. As I said earlier, I suppose he could have insisted on a chaperone, but nobody does that today. Considering the number of teenagers who wind up pregnant, perhaps the practice should be revived?

The matter of his message changing would concern me. I remember when the Jimmy Swaggart scandle took place in the 80s. After the dust had settled, his message changed. I suppose he was no longer able to preach the gospel without compromise anymore because his conscience condemned him, so the message was differen't. I am in no wise condoning his actions, but to me, if he is going to remain in the ministry, he owes it to his audience to stand up for the truth, regardless of personal failures. For all I know, he may be in his mind doing just that? He may have decided that his original message didn't work, so he changed it? I just know something changed, and it effected the message his son preaches as well.

I also know a preacher that got a divorce and continued on in the ministry. He eventually re-married, and with his new wife came a new doctrine. It was much more accepting of sin. I think there is something on the inside that makes one believe they are better off preaching a lukewarm doctrine and not being a hypocrite, than standing strong on the truth, but to me, if the message suffers, the minister is no longer doing his job, and would be better off resigning.

All that being said, I am not making any judgements on your Pastor Biblicist. He probably is a God fearing man, and I have never heard him preach, before or after the incident. He really shouldn't feel personal condemnation for his daughter's actions, anymore than the Father of the prodigal son was responsible for his failures, but apparently he takes the scriptures about running one's household to mean that he was at fault in what happened with his daughter.

I appreciate your insite Butero, and I respect your opinion. Thankyou! :)

Parental guilt was a huge part of our old church. Often, if a child didn't turn out, after being trained in the way he should go, it was a big reflection on the parents. My sister suffered greatly for it.

It was not until we separated from that church and restudied the verse that we realized that it was more a warning not a promise.

Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go,

and when he is old he will not turn from it.

Sheesh!

I have been doing some very early morning babysitting for my grandchildren, and on their TV this woman named Paula White comes on. I watch for a bit, and I get this awful feeling in the pit of my stomach. Next day I watch a again--same thing. I can only manage about 5-10 minutes at a time. I do this about three times, then I realize there is something wrong there...

I have been wanting to ask here if anyone knows about her, but put it off. Now I see...

For the most part, she's just another "greed gospel" preacher who hangs out with Ken Copeland and Creflo Dollar.

I'm sure, by the warning of the Holy Spirit in me, that she is far removed from those two men. I don't get that check in my spirit with Ken and Creflo. There was ultra emphasis on sending money and connections with numerology on the shows I caught. Way too out there, and made me ashamed of how these Chistians behaved toward the lost in there evangelizing zeal. Bent.

Keep your eyes on the Blesser .....God. Serve Him first before anything or anyone...

Or... He can take it all away.

Also keep that Love bonding relationship with your spouse and family....that God gave .

God told me this a while back....

Don't mention the word ...divorce in a marriage...for that opens the door to the devil...

and he will try and use anything to try and break up the marriage. He is the destroyer.

He also told me to tell those who are married to speak Love in their marriage...not divorce.

THANK YOU , LORD

My goodness, People this could be me...you, anyone.. I would hate to have to hear people talk about me. Paula white I know is not greedy , sorry...But I believe this is why Paul says it is better to be single... The responsibility is a tough one. Some of these people who are married are on in different places.., seperated for long periods of time, from each other... Randy Paulas' husband has always been a great support of hers when she was first coming around. Until the whole story is known let us pray for our sisters and brothers who are having great difficulty with whatever. But for the Grace of God, it could be me!! sincerly and lovingly patricia

I know a precious sweet man who was married and assist to a pastor in Africa. His wife went to africa with him and ended up having to send her home after a couple of years.., besides becoming 'insane in the mind' she became uncontrollably promiscuous. Had never ever been like that. After being sent home she improved greatly. He himself did not know what to do and stayed in Africa. Opened many chuches great miracles happening as well. He remained Married to her but was ashamed he could not share this due to the whispers of others .The man was overrought as well.

How many people would go to Rahb for assist knowing what she did for a living?.

How many people here would accept a prophet knowing he married a whore..who leaves, goes back to her life, and returns to her husband who continued to Love her?. I know this is indicative of the church and Jesus but just pray. :whistling::) patricia

That said....I pray for her and her husband to be reconciled and it seems like the only response a christian should have. We must not take an offense and increase it with guile and gossip.

:24:

Sin can creep into any of our lives and blind us to what is clear to everyone else. We need to pray their eyes opened to the truth.

Thanks ...Nebula :24:

Sin can creep into any of our lives ....I am so sorry for my remarks I have made

....saying that greed is taking over some of the evangelist and pastors ....and that they are pumping people up with scriptures ....so we could seed money into to their ministeries.

I have to look at the giver....God, and let Him judge this situation...

I let go of the stones that I threw at them ...in judgement.

I want to say I am so sorry to everyone and to Our God, Jesus , and the Holy Spirit.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
