If Today You Should Hear HIS Voice

"Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:" Hebrews 3:7-8

Open Your Heart

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20

And Believe

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

:P

Not sure if I agree this time Joe??? (It's not the distance traveled) If God made numerous attempts to reach you during the duration of your "entertaining" you sins and you refused HIM, and you suddenly found yourself on your death bed and near death and decided to "repent" just before you expired, God is not a fool, and He is very clear on this subject in HIS Bible.

Do Not Fool With God!

Dear Brother Agreed!

The Bible Is So Cool And God Is So Good!

Your Thoughts Gave Me Another Excuse To Look Deeper Into God's Big Book Of Wonder.

God Is Not Fooled

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Jeremiah 17:9-10

And Man Is No Judge

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
John 3:7-8

And Old Timer Or Newbie It's Still God's Call

Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
Matthew 20:15-16

It Is HIS Bible - It Is HIS Salvation

Salvation - The Work Of The Holy Spirit

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

Of sin, because they believe not on me;

Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

John 16:7-11

Salvation - The Work Of The Lord Jesus

Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Acts 2:47

Salvation - The Work Of The Heavenly Father

Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
John 17:24

No Brag All Grace

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

[9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

At The Age Of Six (Me!) Or At The Age Of Sixty-Six And On Your Death Bed - Come

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Revelation 22:17

Good Question

You Are A Wonderful Brother

Be Blessed Beloved Of The King

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:

The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.

Numbers 6:24-27

"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. " Acts 16:31

There is nothing we can do to obtain salvation other than believe. We are not saved by works, but our faith should be evident by our works:

"Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works." James 2:18.

If a person accepts Christ on his deathbed he will have no chance of living out his faith on earth. But again, it is our faith - no works - that save us.

A huge problem in thinking that you can wait until that moment of death is that you never know when that might be. What if you put off salvation, but are instantly killed in a car accident, or die of a massive heart attack. Then there will be no time to repent of your sins and accept Jesus. It is better to accept Him before it is too late.

Nathele

Another huge problem man has is thinking that just because you know there is a God a you fear HIM acknowledges that you are "saved." And GOD knows what in every man's heart. If a person is truly living in the "grace" of God , God will make man WANT to do GOOD WORKS and RIGHT LIVING for HIM!

Also, God's Holy Book speaks of the "Fires of Hell" not only in the Old Testament, but you will find it regularly in the New Testament as well. Search your index in Matthew, for evidence.

I believe God created vessels of honor and well as he created vessels of dishonor.

God created evil and good . God is mercy filled and cannot destroy those he created for bad unless they have the chance to know good. These people will be taught the ways and laws of God during the 1000 year reign of our Lord .

In short do not worry. God knows when even a sparrow falls from the sky . He has this man and his best interests at heart . The man will see the full mercy of our God and Lord . He will be given every chance.

God cannot be fooled by words! He knows our hearts!

You want to see how much farther you have to go in life, trying including God in your life on any give workday ALL DAY LONG and notice how many times God will let you know how many times you have forsaken HIM. I tried this recently and was amazed to see how I avoid God's laws when someone upsets me or angers me. It's much easier to follow the path of sin when we are angered. But we are told in Matthew that "the fires of HEll wait for one who is angered by his brother.

Yes. Time is not the issue.

Amen. John Wayne accepted Christ on his deathbed...which is very cool because I always wanted to shake that man's hand. Hopefully I can persevere to the end to enter eternal life as well.

I'm not saying that John Wayne is the reason I want to go to heaven! But, after God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Mary, the Apostles, and a whole bunch more very cool Christian historical figures, it would be neat to meet the Duke.

Did he I never knew that I always loved all the John Wayne movies.

To the post, I believe the answer is Yes, just look at the thief on the cross beside Jesus.

Be very careful how you convey and perceive this thought! Don't be fooled or conned into thinking that anyone can run their entire lives ignoring God's calling on them to live a Christian life and they not hasten to his call, then when they find themselves in a hospital or on their death bed, they finally decide that they need to repent in their last days....... I can't imagine God taken lightly to that....God cannot be fooled. And he does not tolerate foolishness.

Blessings

Well said!!! Thats a great point! :24:

I've wondered about the same question as the original poster!

with out reading all the other replies, the simplest reply would be the example on the cross..... the thief, dying right long side Christ.... being told that he will be with Christ in paradise.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
