Hey, get real. I wasn't the one who brought up Hagee's name, or elaborated. But now that U have, I will stand by what I said about him.

Actually, Hagee's name was brought up here.

Please don't blame Kari fo following up on previous posts. OK?

OK, my apologies - the way you wrote "But now that U have," I thought you meant Kari.

Hi all, I don't wish to get embroiled in this discussion as I have my own thoughts about the woman,

However I have done a little net surfing and have discovered some stull written by Richard Anthony and besides being a preterist, he writes a lot of other stuff, that to my mind is a load of rubbish. However I'm not done with him yet so will do some more digging.

One such example is the Jewish leaders of 33 - 70 AD who rejected Truth, Beauty, Love, that is, God Himself. And so, the Whore of Babylon is a code name for the corrupt Jerusalem of the 33 - 70 AD time period, upon whom God's judgment fell.

Which is just Preterist nonsense.

Who were the kings of the earth that were drunk with Jerusalem's fornication?

Who were the merchants of the earth that were made rich by Jerusalem prior to 70 A.D.?

Who were the merchants that mourned Jerusalem's destruction?

Who were the peoples, multitudes, nations and tribes upon which Jerusalem sat in 70 A.D?

When at any time did Jerusalem reign over the kings and kingdoms of the earth?

Jerusalem/Israel bears no resemblance to the whore of Babylon today, or at any given time in Jerusalem's history. Judea was a backwater province on the outskirts of the Roman empire and was neither a center for commerce, nor a major player on the internation scene during the 1st century.

Yeah, Toni, I came across that site while surfing. Some of these guys I have never heard of, but are mostly preteristic in their beliefs. The member who challenged. Shiloh to a debate on preterism suddenly vanished.

Google and yahoo can be a trap for the uninformed, unless you're a berean minded christian.

The Bible has a lot more to say about Jerusalem in the last days than what is contained in the book of Revelation.

The problem with the theory that Jerusalem is the whore of Revelation is that the OT prophets spoke of end time Israel and Jerusalem and never mention Jerusalem as whore that causes the kings of the earth to be drunk with her fornications. There is no OT corroboration from the prophets. If Jerusalem were the whore to be judged, there would be corroborative evidence from the END TIME writings of the OT prophets.

So far, the only attempt to use the Old Testament appears to be Ezekiel 16, but that is not talking about Israel/Jerusalem in the last days. It is looking BACKWARDS at Jerusalem prior to the Babylonian captivity and God is recounting to the exiled Jews why they were taken captive.

The prophets of God in the OT, consistently speak of God's promise to restore the Kingdom to Israel in the Last days. Ezekiel 36, 37, Zechariah 12, Jeremiah 31, Amos 9, and many other prophetic portions which speak of Israel in the last days just before the coming of the Messiah, consistently speak of the restoration of the Kingdom of God to Israel AND that Jesus Himself upon His return to THIS current city of Jerusalem and will establish His Kingdom there.

About these days, the prophet Isaiah wrote:

And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

(Isaiah 2:3)

It will be hard for the Word of the Lord to flow from Jerusalem in the Millennium, if Jerusalem is judged and left in smoldering ashes and ruin.

An honest student of Scripture will simply admit that there is not enough evidence to solidly identify who or what Mystery Babylon/the whore is. One thing can be certain: There is enough evidence that Jerusalem does not bear any resemblance to the description of the whore in Rev. 17 and 18.

If it is rubbish why waste the time that God has given you reading it.

Hi guys I know this is a stupid question, but I will ask it anyway. Why do you surf the net for answers we can find in the word of God. God's ord is inspired where as the writings of those who are on the net are not inspired. Once again why surf the net?

The Mystery Babylon from the text of Revelation 17:18 is a "city" that reigns over the kings of the earth. This "city" has a global dominion, and is obviously center of global commerce. John is not talking about a literal "city." He is talking about the rule of the anti-Christ.

Jerusalem has not been, nor is it prophesied to be a city that will rule the world. That is one reason it does not fit the description of "Babylon."

shiloh, the above is a little confusing to me as the 2 paragraphs seem to be contradictory. in the 2nd paragraph you say it can't be jerusalem because it is not a city that rules the world but in the 1st paragraph you say John is not talking about a literal city. could you clarify a little please?

also if you could please address the scriptural references that are pointed out by ToniR and KatyAnn it would also be appreciated by me in the interest of an even discussion. thank you

You wouldn't believe the truth even when scripture is looking at you in the face as you have proven over and over here,
You haven't posted any "truth." All you have posted are anti-Semitic ramblings by people promoting their bargan-basement "theology" which is rooted in nothing but Replacement Theology.

and answering any of your questions or reading any of your posts is just a waste of time.
Translation: I can't answer the questions or engage in any valid points that poke a hole in my weak theology, so I will just find a lame cop out to save my pride."

The only thing you have to offer to any discussion here is disruption and insult and rudeness when yu disagree or are proven wrong
I have not been proven wrong. In fact, none of the points I have raised with regard to why Jerusalem is not the whore have been touched. My refutation of Mr. Anthony's article is heretofore, unanswered. Instead you just want whine and snivel that I bothered to answer at all.

and that is the only reason you stuck your 2 cents in here again, as shown by your remarks.
Like I said earlier, as long you continue to promote anti-Semitic teachings as "truth," I will be here to refute them. So yeah, I am here to disrupt...

But the bottom line is that you cannot answer the questions nor can you refute one point I have raised, which anyone can see.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
