Welcome to worthy ...you may not get to discuss this particular topic in depth here but there are lots of other things to " get your teeth into " and you got to keep "other one" on line longer than the rest of us have managed for a while :emot-hug:

BTW physicsfreak, I have some really good work friends that are masons (low degrees) and they are very nice people and good work friends. Please don't take my post as being againse all masons.

I do have relatives that were shriners (32 & 33 degree) and we have had a bit of discussion as to the knowledge they posess. Not to get into any real detail, but there are things in the works that they could not talk about. It's a bit to personal go get into, but all of them told me they would rather see me dead than a high level mason.... they felt trapped where they were and were afraid to quit.

My Grandfather was a mason and for whatever may or may not be true of the organization itself, he was a devoted Christian man. I don't know anything about the "higher degrees" of the masonic lodge but I do know that he was a godly man with a clean heart. I was a member of "Job's Daughers" for a very short time during high school and admit that it was a bit odd but I don't recall anything sinister or evil about it.

The History Channel did a very fair treatment of Freemasonry in an expose entitled The Secret Origins of Freemasonry. If you really are serious about this advise you get a copy. I bought one and it answers a lot of questions. It is not a religious group trying to discredit but a documentary treatment that is pretty fair. It debunks some false beliefs wrongly believed by those outside and also addresses some things as Christians we should be concerned about before dismissing it as merely a fraternity.

Thank you for the info. I think I saw the program you're referring to and it was interesting, but at this time in my life, I'm just not interested in finding more information. Like I said, I'm not sure of the organization itself but I do my my Grandfather. He saved my life many times as a child. I'm absolutely certain that he was God's hand of protection.

No offense intended, physicsfreak, but this is one of the oldest 'urban legends' on the internet. There may be a grain of truth in there somewhere but...my grandfather was a freemason and the only secret he held close was the barbeque sauce recipe. :24:

No offense glory, but if your grandfather was at the 30 degree or higher he did have many secrets....

I would think, considering the multitudes that have been members of the Freemasons for centuries, that the secrets would have come out by now. I mean, please, our government is supposed to be riddled with them; our government can't keep anything from leaking out! I think this stuff belong in the box with Big Foot and alien autopsies. :24:

Ooouuuuuu, I can't go along with that....... but I can't tell you why.

If you care to learn about masonry there are several books available written by masons and exmasons. "Morals and Dogma" is a good start if you can get through it. It's about 850 pages. Manley P. Hall has written several books concerning the higher knowledge.... I find that books are much better information than just looking through the internet and getting others opinions of the books.

As for the long term secrets of plans for future actions by the society, you won't get far in learning about those unless you are part of them. They take their oaths serously at that level, and only those who are willing to keep them are allowed to progress to the very top.

I have a very good friend who's dad was a mason in his early life; but had not been involved for most of 20 eyars. The night he died they sent someone to be in his room until he died..... didn't say a single word or make any movements to help or console either his dad or him...... just stayed there until he died and left. The only reason the family would think of for what transpired was to be sure he did not pass on anything as he died, for the person who came didn't do anything at all to help anyone or anything.

Yeah, secrets are kept every day, by our government and all kinds of societies..... at least the ones that really matter are.

Spooky but I don't think there are any secrets or agendas by the members, just universialism in a nice package

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
