Greetings Darkest Red,

Whatever 'state' im in, you have absolutely NO right to judge me or what i believe. That is for God, and God alone, to do.

I think you are confused! I haven't seen a judgmental attitude in this thread, only one of brotherly love and attempting to help out a brother who has expressed a need for understanding.

HOWEVER, you DO err. Please consider:

1 Corinthians 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

1 Corinthians 5:12-13 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

1 Corinthians 6:1-4 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? 2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? 4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

Perhaps you are thinking of:

Matthew 7:1-2 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Does this conflict with the above verses? Of course not. For IF we "judge righteously", then our judgment stands. For with that SAME RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT, SO SHALL WE BE JUDGED. Please do not judge me according to the world's view of "righteousness", but judge me instead with the "righteousness of Christ" of whose servant I am.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Well said dad...I too believe we as Christians need to be able to judge and discern the motives and actions of those around us...using righteous judgement.

Blessings

PS I too am a little confused about the question.

Greetings Russell,

PS I too am a little confused about the question.

Let's take a look at this verse:

Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do...

ALSO:

Matthew 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

The point of "forgiveness" comes when it is done from the "heart", that is from within the mind/soul/spirit of the individual. To obtain salvation, one must TRULY repent with the WHOLE heart, of their own sins. It cannot just be a silent mouthed repeat of what the Pastor says, when he asks the sinner: "Repeat after me."

The problem the Jews had is that they sought righteousness (right standing with God) as though by the works of the law, and NOT by "faith". (Romans 9:31-32) They figured they could sin and then just pay the price (if caught) and get away with it. But God saw their heart. True repentance comes when a person does an about shift in his/her thinking. As one member pointed out, God confronted them with their sin, and they thus sought forgiveness, but these were just "motions" UNTIL some time later WHEN they had done a complete turn about in their thinking, THEN they were truly repentant and rued the sin they had done.

Does that help?

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Everybody here is willing to help you and they do love you in the Lord, but its sometimes difficult to talk to so many people at the same time...

Why not give Wisdom a try ,I promise he will not dissapoint you!

mobile,

Jesus died for our sins thus paying our sin debt in full. We have no need for "absolution" through any man!!!!!! If you agree with what you just said, then there was no need for Jesus to die on the cross. All we needed was an ordained Catholic priest. Please!!!!! :t2:

The Priest (minister of the apostolic succession) can give you the absolution because Christ died in the Cross and so His sacrifice is enough to give redemption to every sinner in history.

Without this imesurable ocean of grace, no Priest (no matter how properly ordained) in the world could possibly give you any absolution for your sins.

Wrong. 1 Corinthians 2:15-16, "But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For "who has know the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?" But we (the church) have the mind of Christ."

John 5:22, "For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, - - - ".

repentence and confession are two different things..................

its not enough to confess your sins ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Repentence is turning from them and not doing them again in a repeated fashion.........only God knows your heart if you are truly repentent and God is the one you should be worried about no one else.................................

yes the bible says confess your faults one to another ........but Jesus said go and sin NO MORE.........

Okay... general consensus is that i wont be forgiven, so what do i do?

I cant feel sorry for something i dont feel sorry for and obviosuly theres no point in pretending because that would be pointless.

I have been wondering the same thing lately, sort of. I swear constantly and think sinful thoughts every day. So I am not sure if I have repented..but I have prayed the prayer to become a Christian and I believe everything that Jesus did, but I still have the urge to sin sometimes and I haven't lost the desire to sin. This isn't right and I don't know how to correct it. I read my Bible and spend time in prayer every night now. My Christian walk is a little messed up, I'll admit. I know we will always sin..but sometimes I feel that I'm sinning way too much to call myself a Christian. I don't know what to do about it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
