Before we continue on, Yesult is a brother in Christ, let us remember that as we post.

Brothers in Christ don't fight with everybody like he is doing. Measure a man/woman by thier fruit.

I went back and read some of the posts by Yesult since there seems to be a lot of anomocity against him. It appears that all he is saying is that since there is a great deal of racism in the world, that one of the considerations people should make before they marry someone of a differen't race is the children. He goes so far as to say it is wrong to bring kids into the world who are mixed because of the persecutions they will face. I don't think that kind of reasoning makes Yesult a racist, but I don't agree with it. Here is why.

No child is conceived outside the will of God. Every child is created by God for a specific purpose. A lot of times, people think of a child as being the result of a careless mistake. In their minds that may be so, but even unplanned pregnancies are by design for a reason. If two people from two races wish to marry, I don't think they should feel like they are doing wrong because of the possible persecution the kids might have to endure. You could have a child who is ugly by other people's standards, and that lead to persecution, or they might be frail and sickly, leading to them being bullied as a child. You can't live your life with those kind of fears. If it is too big of an issue where you live, perhaps you should move to a differen't location where the people aren't such bigots?

I could be wrong about Yesult. He might be a racist, but I don't necessarily come to those conclusions just because he is concerned about the children of a mixed marriage. What would concern me is if he looks down on the children of a mixed marriage. That would be racism. I just think his position is wrong. God doesn't condemn mixed marriages anywhere in scripture. Yes, he did make differen't races, and I understand the thinking of those who think they should remain pure in their race, but if something is not condemned in the Bible, who are we to place extra-Biblical commands on people? Originally, there was not the means of travel we have today, and there was less interaction between people of differen't nations. After Babel, there was also a communication problem between those of differen't nations. Is it also wrong to learn to translate each other's tongues in order to communicate? After all, God did scramble our languages for a reason.

I get where Yesult is coming from, and I don't think automatically accusing him a racism is helpful. At the same time, I think if we would simply look at his concerns in light of scripture, we would see that while they may have some element of human wisdom, they don't stand up to Biblical scrutiny. The original question in this thread was what advise we would give to someone who wants to marry a person outside of their race? The only concerns I would have was whether or not they are of the same faith? The person is a Chrsitian, so no problem there. The other question is whether or not they are prepared to deal with persecution from racists? If they are, then I would wish them God's speed, and pray that they will have a wonderful and blessed life together. I would suggest that if they are living in an area where there is a lot of racial tension, they might consider moving to another location if that is possible, but I wouldn't let that issue alone deter me.

To put it simply, if you are HUMAN, you can intermarry.

God made humanity so He calls the shots, NOT us.

Can you please demonstrate in the TOE, where insults are within your rights. Damo, you are allowing your frustrations to give the enemy room.

Remember what our Lord said about the mote. You should also allow your bitterness, and anger at those who have been racist towards you to be dealt with by God.

i will come back later on today to see weather you had responded to what i had left in this topic

Why are you "picking a fight". This is exactly why I asked that this thread be closed. Your words have not honored God at all. It was only about you. Damo, I love you brother and pray that you are more careful when you are dealing with a fellow saint. Yesult is a brother, deal with him in the love that our Lord Jesus deserves and requires. Allow Christ to be your voice Damo.

You're absolutely correct, ruck; telling someone 'I'm going to insult you and that's my right' flies in the face of the TOS. Too many come to this forum with a chip on their shoulder and, as we all know, that's NOT why Worthy exists. Let the troublemakers go somewhere else to prove their superiority or exercise their bias.

As for the races intermarrying, God put no prohibition on that at all. He only asks that we marry fellow believers. I don't understand why this topic stirs up so much dust. :th_praying:

Damo, my friend...

You know all too well the pain and stupidity of racism. There will always be those who are ignorant and bigoted. Do not endanger your spirit in the Lord by trying to change such foolish people. God will deal with them eventually. One of my favorite quotes...

Speak when you are angry and you will make the best speech you will ever regret. ~Ambrose Bierce

God Bless you, brother!!

damo - thanks for supporting me. :th_praying:

Jesus told it how it was - He used the words like "snakes" and "hypocrite" - mind you, He was speaking from absolute truth so when He called them those things, He was pointing out a fact.

I am not saying Yesult is not a racist but I do believe wholeheartedly his views on interracial relationships are off centre completely - if he meant well it certainly didn't come across that way and he in fact came across as belittling.

anyway damo - take a deep breath, walk around the room, shake your hands and touch your toes ten times before you respond..LOL :th_praying:

I don't understand why this topic stirs up so much dust. :)

Because, IMO, people feel guilty for their ancestors did (white guilt); or have hidden prejudices of their own (such as damo1's stated hatred of white American males) and instead of admitting and dealing with themselves, they slam the racist card into people's faces. Vehemently and violently.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
