the same can be said for any "gift" - whether spiritual or physical. If you don't know how to use it, you are bound to fumble with it. But if you have the gift, instruction is incredibly useful.

Physical gifts and spiritual gifts are not one in the same. One cannot even began to compare the two.

Spiritual gifts come from God. Wouldn't it be wiser to seek guidance from the One who gave you the gift, then to pay some guy on the internet for a manual?

Paul instructed us to pray for the gift of prophecy. (1 Cor. 14:1 - Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.)

One cannot buy that gift off the internet or anywhere else. No amount of money in the world will get you a spiritual gift.

but as all the gifts are from God, I, myself do not think that any man can teach any other man how than can be obtained.

So, these teachings in question -

Does the man claim he can make a prophet out of you if you buy his teaching, or does he simply teach how to operate in the gift?

The H/S has quickened a lot of scripture in my quiet times with Him but I don't hear actual words.granted that we are all unique in Him.

And this is one thing I had to be taught - that we all don't hear the Lord the same way.

Trying to learn God's voice the way others did only led me to frustration. But understanding that the wiring of my brain receives signals differently, and learning how to recognize those signals and develop that part of my brain (to put it all in scientific rather than spiritual expressions ) has helped me tremendously.

I feel like the Lord wants me to be done with this thread so I'll just say in closing that I will be praying for everyone in it and for those attending this guys conferences that the Lord may bring them where he wants them through him not some self-proclaimed prophet who may or may not be the real thing.

It was an example of a prophet teaching another man how to be a prophet. That is all.

First he's going to inform you about the gift of prophesy and then he's going "ACTIVATE" the gift within you.

It's really not that hard to understand.....no spiritual gifts required for that one.

Does the bible count? I paid 11.98 for the one I have.

I also have the bible on CD. I paid around 35 dollars for those.

And 10 dollars for a concordance from halfprice books.

Other than that.....nothing.....wait....I have a pocket bible...4.98....Walmart.
