I have many, but here are a few:

Psalm 111:2-3 Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in Him. Glorious and majestic are His deeds, and His righteousness endures forever.

Isaiah 40:28-30 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His knowledge is beyond understanding.

Hebrews 4:12-13 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing the soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitude of the heart. Nothing in creation is hidden from God's eyesight, everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes to whom we must give account.

I have several favorites, Isaiah 55:8&9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, sath the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Also Matthew 11:12, "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force." Plus all of Psalm 91 and of course my sig.

good thread :emot-highfive:

i have so many, but, this, in addition to prov. 3:5-6 have so much meaning to me.

i selected ps 32:1-6 for my baptism service (4/13/08)

Psalm 32

A psalm[a] of David.

1 Oh, what joy for those

whose disobedience is forgiven,

whose sin is put out of sight!

2 Yes, what joy for those

whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt,

whose lives are lived in complete honesty!

3 When I refused to confess my sin,

my body wasted away,

and I groaned all day long.

4 Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me.

My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat.

Interlude

5 Finally, I confessed all my sins to you

and stopped trying to hide my guilt.

I said to myself,

I have so many, but I love Romans 8, so I will post my fav from that chapter. Romans 8:5 (the last part) "... but those that live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires."

And this one is probably even better: 8:18 "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."

One of my favorites god gave to me today is the verse where it says, "I can do all things through christ who strengthens me." Alot of times we think we can do nothing without god, but the verse that I just wrote is more of a way we can say, yes we can, because god is my strength. he is everything that we need. All we have to do is believe...

Mine are:

Romans 12:2

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is

The verse that I have always loved and identified myself with is that of...

1 Timothy 1:12 - "And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;"

I also like Colossians 3:23 but this is a life verse topic.

The sriptures in Timothy is certainly a good one to keep one excited and encouraged in the work of the Lord and it'encoragement from above and not down here below. There have been so many good scriptures that have been used so I will through in mine as well.

John 14:1-4--"Let not your heart be troubled ye believe in God believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions if it were not so I would have told you I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again: and recieve you unto myself that where I am there ye may be also. And: whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

I just couldn't take one verse out of this passage (sorry) as they all fit together but it is a passage that has given so much to me like comfort, hope, encouragment, and joy for my journey.

But this is my favorite passage of sciptures.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
