speaking for my self i did not like the way china pressented the games china should have never been given the right to host the olympics while the world was watching china pressent the olympics to us there were christians suffering in its jails and camps

i feel britan is going to do a better job and if i had the funding i would not mind going to see some of my favorit events

china showed to much force it did not relax or alow any one to have any real fun i feel also the olympics spirit was faked

with the way they showed us that young girl who could not even sing what image do you feel china was giving the world that all the women in china are pretty and the chinese people can sing this girl could not even sing she gave lip service

the origonal girl should have been on stage not being told she is not what we want to show the world

i feel more for the christians who are in there prisons and camps than i do for that atheist goverment

the press were even lied to that sucks at least we did not monitor what the press was showing the world and saying to the world but china wanted to control what was being said the goverment even shut down certain sites

how could their people say that the olympics spirit is felt while their own kind are suffering under there goverment what a joke

God bless from damo

I like china - because I like people. China is full of people. End of story.

I think the olympic games are overated and have about as much 'spirit' (in a christian sense) as christmas. It started off as a festival honouring zeus. Since everything that is not of God is of satan - why are we expecting wonderful things that glorifys sport in honour of the sun god (apollo) (that's the whole flame thing, it used to be lit by a magnifying glass thing

(apparently) by the sun. It was a show of mans strength in honour of a human created god.

Blah.

Commonwealth games are better.

I wish they could revamp the olympics and make it less about human glory and more about just human skill and sportsmanship - all the greed and the drugs and win at all costs thing has tended to spoil it for me. Especially when you see how some of the gymnasts and other atheletes train and are treated in the eastern block and other communist countries like china. Could make you weep. All that effort and heartbreak for what? How many actually walk away with a medal at the end of it anyway?

I don't know. I just don't have the interest in it anymore unless the people really are there just for the sheer fun and love of their sport. The rest is a turn off.

this is not just me saying what a joke i watched the games from the start to the finish and i am glad i was not the only one who was picking this up how could you tell me the olympics spirit was alive in a country such as china

i like all peoples from all countrys my self i am croation i get on with all peoples from many diffrent countrys

what i dont like is what i was picking up i even taped what i wanted to watch if i was not going to be home

i saw the clossing and i liked what BRITAN pressented and i feel that the british people are going to do a decent job were people can relax and enjoy the olympics games i saw one dude from china loose it the pressure that this atheist goverment puts on there people is a joke

what got up my nose is how they treated the origonal girl she should have never been told she was not what we wanted to show the world all due to her being too darn ugly that is wrong think of the damage this has done to that young girl

why put on a good looking child who was only able to give lip service she could not even do what the origonal young girl could do at least the origonal girl could sing compared to this young girl

i like the commenwealth games my self and i am still a fan when it comes to the olympics

china should have never been allowed to hold the games in ther country they lied to the team who decides what country will hold the olympics they showed the world what they wanted us to see the olympics spirit in china was fake

when sydney was told it had one i can tell you i jumped for joy and i know how England will be feeling

i will make sure i watch the oppening i missed the oppening china showed the rest of the world but i saw the clossing

this time i will stay up to watch the oppening and the clossing when the games start i will even tape it for keeps sake

if they got rid of the atheist goverment i would have enjoyed the olympics games china has some awsem sites like the famous wall and the buildings but a lot of the old buildings and towns were not shown to the world and the people would have been told to show the world what we want them to see

God bless from damo

I dont have anything for or against but I just wanted to say one thing. The Sydney Olympics was the best one I've ever seen yet, there was something about it at the time that made it feel of joy and the love of sports. Athens was okay.. I felt a little too much pride from them as I remember it. China just felt like a technical show... thats just me though.

Well, I know they ain't what we'd like them to be, but they sure ain't what they used to be. Continued exposure to the rest of the world and a desire to do business with the rest of the world will get them to relax a bit, we hope.

Why don't you give us an example of what you wanted to hear?

I just hope the Brits aren't ask their thoughts on the U.S.A. & it's leader.

Please don't tell me you're actually comparing the U.S. to China.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
