  2. Isaiah 41:1 - Keep silent before Me you coasts and islands, let the peoples renew their strength. Let them draw near, let them speak up, then: together we shall go to the place of judgement. Isaiah 49:1-6 Five steps are mentioned here by the prophet; keep silent – When ancient Israel migrated from their captivity in Assyria, they remained hidden until they regained their strength. Then, let them come near : awaken to the true gospel, evangelism from John Wycliffe to Billy Graham, etc. Let them speak : proclaim the good news around the world, our missionary activity. Still to come is ‘Let us meet in the place of judgement’ Ezekiel 20:34-38, Isaiah 41:8-9. God will soon call His people back to the Land, all the faithful Christians from every nation; Jews and Gentiles, but mainly descendants of the House of Israel, the people Jesus came to save; Matthew 13:24, where the administration of His commandments and ordinance’s will be restored. Ezekiel 36:27, Ezekiel 44:23-24 Deuteronomy 4:27, Jeremiah 3:8 The original chosen people were divorced from God and sent into exile for their sins. This is for a decreed period only. Ezekiel 4:4-6 Then God gave Ezekiel a vision of a valley full of dry bones; Ezekiel 37:11 These bones represent the whole house of Israel [now; every Christian believer] They say: our hope is gone, we are cut off. [from God] Jeremiah 50:6 Ezekiel 37:9-10 The Lord God says: let the winds [Gods Spirit] come and breath into the slain [dead to the Spirit] that they might live. They came to life and stood up: a mighty company! [of born again Christians] Romans 9:24-26 Ezekiel 37:12-13 I will bring you up from your graves [our present condition] and restore you to the Land of Israel. Isaiah 62:1-5, Isaiah 66:18b-21, Jeremiah 50:4-5 Through Isaiah, God gives a message to Israel, identifying them as a people who have lost the knowledge of their origin and forgotten their ancestors. Isaiah 49:21 Isaiah 51:1-2 Listen to Me, all you who know the Law [the common Judeo-Christian Law of our countries] You who seek the Lord [Christian peoples] consider your origin, where you came from- Abraham and Sarah are your parents. I blessed them and now you are their offspring. Romans 8:14, Ephesians 2:11-18 God is looking forward to the day when the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus is completed. Isaiah 50 & 51, Colossians 1:11-12 In His sacrifice all who believe in Him are redeemed and salvation is available to all who accept Him, repent and acknowledge His Atonement for their sins. In Psalms 107, Ezekiel 34 & 36, Jeremiah 30 & 31, Isaiah 35 & 66:18-21, and others, the prophets tell the story of how the Lord’s righteous people; faithful Christians are gathered, redeemed and settled into the Promised Land. The great national awakening of all Israelites, natural and grafted in, is symbolically represented as life from the dead, for through the Resurrection of Jesus, God demonstrated His power and is enabled to do this: Ezekiel 37:14 I shall put My spirit into you and you will live. [a true Godly life] Thus you will know that I, the Lord has acted and spoken. Isaiah 44:1-3, Joel 2:28 And in Ezekiel 37:26-28 I shall make an everlasting covenant with Israel. [The New Covenant, 2 Corinthians 3:6] My sanctuary will be in their midst, I will be their God and they will be My people. Revelation 7:9 The Glory of God will be present in the new Temple, built by His faithful people from far away; Zechariah 6:15, as in ancient times. Ezekiel 43:2 The Return of Jesus for His Millennial reign will come after all that is prophesied to occur before that glorious Day, has taken place. Proved by how it is by the Lord’s great actions, that we know He has helped us.
  3. Yes you can read it 2 ways. I never even thought of reading it like you do. But that was not the end. If you believe that was the end then this is it. This is the new heaven and earth. A full preterist said that to a widow. She said: This is not heaven. My husband is dead. The end is after Israel has gone to exile and came back to the land and is saved. Ezekiel 37 Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’ ” “Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again. They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God. “David My servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd; they shall also walk in My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them. Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell there, they, their children, and their children’s children, forever; and My servant David shall be their prince forever. Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people. The nations also will know that I, the Lord, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.” ’ ” Ezekiel 37:12‭-‬14‭, ‬21‭-‬28 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/ezk.37.12-28.NKJV

  6. "In those days I will pour out My Spirit even on My servants – men and women alike – and they will prophesy." (Acts 2:18 ) The Lord declares in Acts 2:18 that there is a very specific reason He pours out His Spirit on His people – so we will prophesy! God wants you speaking His truth in season and out of season like this, because the lost, hurting, broken, victimized, scared people of the world need to know there is an alternative to all that has failed and frustrated them. In Genesis 1:1-25 God shows us how He brought forth creation and also a model of one of the main ways we operate in the authority that He called us to in verses 26-28. The words He spoke brought Kingdom order to chaos and confusion (Genesis 1:4-25). Now it is your turn to do the same. In Him, with Him, and for Him, God has made you His dominion steward in the earth. Just as He spoke to creation to bring it forth, you can speak to creation to bring it into alignment with His truth. After all, you are made in His image and according to His likeness (see Genesis 1:26), called to do the works that the Word Himself did (see John 14:12), and we see evidence of all this throughout the Bible (e.g., Isaiah 55:5, Jeremiah 1:10, and Job 22:28). 7. Fruit of repentance This article discusses fruits that accompany genuine repentance. Genuine repentance always results in visible evidence of a change of mind. John 14:15 and 1 John 5:3 instruct believers to “do” God’s commandments, affirming that his commandments are not grievous. And Psalms 138:2 declares that God’s word is more important than his name. Matthew 3:8 and Acts 26:20 command believers to bear fruit, that is to do works, that prove repentance. In Jeremiah 8:6-7, Revelation 9:20-21 and Ezekiel 33:14-15 God declares that men are to repent from their wickedness and do that which is lawful and right, that is to restore the pledge, pay back that taken by robbery, obey God’s commandments, not doing injustice. God’s law, in Leviticus 6:2-5 and Numbers 5:6-7, prescribes that you confess your sin and recompense your trespass, that is restore in the principal and add 20% thereof, and give it unto him against whom you have trespassed. And Proverbs 6:30-31 prescribes that the thief who no longer has the principal shall make restitution, that is to restore sevenfold. The importance God places on doing that which is lawful and right is clearly seen in Exodus 22:3 and Proverbs 6:31, which declare the guilty shall make full restitution to the point of selling everything in his house or working full time to pay for his theft. And in Matthew 5:23-24, Jesus emphasises the need to make things right with others before offering worship to God.
  8. I'm asking these questions as about seven or eight years ago, a man came to me claiming he was a prophet sent from God and I received a foot washing and almost immediately was given the gift of speaking in tongues. Was this man really a prophet of God...
  9. What has been, it is what will be, And what has been done, it is what will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one might say, “See this, it is new”? It has already existed for ages Which were before us. There is no remembrance of the earlier things, And of the later things as well, which will occur, There will be no remembrance of them Among those who will come later still. (Ecclesiastes 1:9-11 NASB) I encountered something from U.S. history that speaks volumes about this passage of scripture from Ecclesiastes, testifying of the truth that what has been, is what will be; and what has been done, is what will be done. Consider the numerous demonstrations against the military draft here in the United States during the Vietnam War. Young men were tearing up and/or burning their draft notices, vowing to escape to Canada or face prison than serve in that war. Understand that this is nothing new under the sun. What has been, is what will be. There is a propensity among some to glamorize the past, casting it in a favorable light compared to the present day. Some have said that the anti-draft demonstrations of the late 1960s and early 1970s were "anti-American" but true to scripture, there is no remembrance of the earlier things. How so? The New York City Draft Riots, which took place from July 13th until the 16th in 1863, testifies of this truth. Bear in mind that there were other anti-draft riots during the course of the Civil War but this event particularly stands out with regard to the measures taken by President Lincoln. The president mobilized militia and volunteers to crush the riot. Over 1,200 Americans were killed by troops. It was a massacre. There are many such examples to be found in the histories of man. That is only one.
  10. Do we really love Christ Jesus like we say we do? The daily living relationship Christ Jesus mentioned if we truly love Him. John 14:15 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. 25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. 29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. 30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. 31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
  11. But we do have God's word on human lifespan, and it's not hundreds of years. Why don't you just believe Him? He does. And you should just believe Him. You were the one who showed us that God said human lifetimes were not hundreds of years. If you think so, you weren't reading very well. I pointed out to you that very recently someone exceeded that age. Whether you go with 120 years or seventy years as God says elsewhere, it contradicts your assumption that humans used to live longer than they do now. Likewise, only a few people are listed by God as having ages of hundreds of years. I just had to show you why your assumption is contradicted by God's word. Why not just accept it His way? Nor is it evidence of existence. It's more likely that it wasn't mentioned because it didn't happen. Think. If "Big light in the sky" was morning, then moonrise would be morning. So your assumption fails. There's really no way to get around God's word. Why not just accept it as it is?
  12. Ruth 1:16-17 But Ruth said: “Entreat me not to leave you, Or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, And there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, If anything but death parts you and me.” When Ruth pledged her allegiance to Naomi and to the God of Israel, it wasn’t based on, “What ifs?” or circumstances. It was a faith rooted in her devotion to Naomi and God even to the point of death! So often, I’ve received emails from people wondering why? “Why this?” or “Why that?” But honestly, “His ways are higher than my ways and His thoughts are higher than my thoughts” — and I don’t have easy answers for much of the horrendous stuff that happens to us! But what I do know is our faith is not based on “if this” circumstance was changed then I could serve — or “if this” problem didn’t exist then my life would be so much easier! We tend to look at our circumstances, our problems, our status, our situations — however the faith we’re called to have is a “whatever and where ever” faith! Let’s stop looking at the “what ifs” and “why that” and start looking to the “Who” of your life! The “who” of your life should be Yeshua (Jesus) — and when He is the “Who” of your life — then the rest of your life is “whatever and where ever” for your good and His glory! 13. Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. I’ve heard so many believers ask, “How can I get more of the Holy Spirit?” As if the Holy Spirit is some kind of power or force that we can control or wield. What we should really be asking is, “How can the Holy Spirit have more of me?” We cannot control this power from on high. If we could, then we could be led to pride and strut around as if we’re some kind of “Super Christian”. But if we recognize that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person — and that this Person is actually willing to live in us, we’d greatly be humbled! We must be very honored that the Spirit of God would inhabit these corrupt vessels of ours and more importantly that He would even consider using us! It’s only when we empty ourselves that we truly become filled! Let’s empty ourselves of our selfish ambitions and desires today and allow ourselves to become broken before the Lord. We need to be truly filled with God’s Power if we’re going to impact the world for Him! There’s SOOOOOO much work to be done!! . Never miss a devotion again! 14. Perhaps it's because you don't have the slightest clue about which you speak. There is a word you should learn called chronology. It means that things happen along a progressive timeline. Some things happen earlier, some things happen later. When things are read out of sequence or out of context, it's easy for people who dedicate their time to distorting the Scriptures to misinterpret what is said. Genesis 6:1-7 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. Care to guess what major event happened to end the days of man? Even this brief passage is enough to make clear that the context of Genesis 6 is not a discussion of mankind's longevity. In fact, the subject of how long humans live is nowhere to be found in the story of the flood at all. Therefore, we must not inject that idea into the meaning of verse 3. Interpreting v.3 to be a statement about human lifespan is both nonsensical (given the context) and irrelevant to the narrative overall. It is an example of the error of eisegesis. As we consider the context of Genesis 6, what does v.3 mean? The only proper conclusion is God was saying something about the timeline of the flood itself, and as we look at the rest of the narrative of Genesis 6-7, we find that this conclusion fits perfectly. source As usual, if you are quoting the Bible, the quote is taken out of context and twisted to mean what you want it to mean. Other than a few people on an ark, man's lifetime ended 120 years later. After the flood, the longevity of man decreased, as the slide I posted demonstrates. Actually, if you were a president your name would be on the roll. I wonder if there is anything in the Bible you DO understand. There are only a few people listed in Genesis 5. ALL of them lived hundreds of years. More stupidity. Did they not teach you anything about analogies in school? Read this slowly. The lack of a specific mention does not mean exclusion or non-existence. You are arguing something you cannot POSSIBLY prove, just to be contrary to what the Bible says. No He didn't. He said "My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years." You seem to think that means everyone will live exactly 120 years; neither more nor less. As you have been told repeatedly, light was created on day one. You prefer to lie and distort the Scriptures to promoter your own Satanic heresy. Read about false teachers in the Revelation, and decide if you want to continue down that path. The light of truth lies not within you.
  15. By Stefan J. Bos, Chief International Correspondent Worthy News JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – In a controversial move, Israel’s government shut down the operations of the Al Jazeera television network in the country, saying it was a mouthpiece of Hamas and a security threat. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the cabinet agreed to the closure while the war in Gaza is ongoing. Police raided the Qatari broadcaster’s office at the Ambassador Hotel in Jerusalem on Sunday. Al Jazeera called claims it was a threat to Israeli security a “dangerous and ridiculous lie.” The network called the raid criminal”, charging that it “violates the human right to access information.” The channel also said it reserved the right to “pursue every legal step.” Israel’s Communications Minister, Shlomo Karhi, confirmed equipment had been taken in the raid. Footage seen by Worthy News showed equipment being moved out of the building. Soon after Sunday’s raid, screens showing Al Jazeera’s Arabic and English programs went blank as the channel went off-air in Israel. The Israeli satellite service Yes displayed a message that read: “In accordance with the government decision, the Al Jazeera station’s broadcasts have been stopped in Israel.” PARTIAL BLOCKAGE? The blockage is effectively only partial, however, as the channel was still accessible Sunday through the social media platform Facebook in Israel. Israel’s government said the order was initially valid for 45 days, with the possibility of an extension. The shutdown does not apply to the Israeli-occupied West Bank or Gaza Strip, from which Al Jazeera still broadcasts live on Israel’s war with Hamas. The decision came after Israel’s parliament last month voted overwhelmingly to pass a new national security law granting top ministers the power to ban broadcasts by foreign channels and close their offices if they are deemed a national security threat. Shortly after the law was passed, Netanyahu singled out Al Jazeera, which bills itself as the “first independent news channel in the Arab world.” Yet the Foreign Press Association in Israel said shutting down Al Jazeera in Israel was “a dark day for the media (and) a dark day for democracy,” and the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate slammed the move as “a war crime.” The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) Program Director Carlos Martinez de la Serna echoed the same concerns, saying: “The Israeli cabinet must allow Al Jazeera and all international media outlets to operate freely in Israel, especially during wartime.” ANGERING GOVERNMENT Al Jazeera has angered the government by accusing Israel of “deliberately” targeting its staff. Journalists, including Hamza al-Dahdouh, the son of Al Jazeera Gaza bureau chief Wael al-Dahdouh, were allegedly killed by Israeli strikes. Israel denies targeting journalists. For years, Israeli officials have accused the network of anti-Israeli bias. Their criticisms of the broadcaster intensified since the October 7 Hamas attacks on southern Israel, in which about 1,200 people were killed and more than 250 were taken hostage. Some 128 of those hostages are still unaccounted for, with at least 34 presumed dead, sources said. At least 34,683 Palestinians have been killed and 78,018 injured in Israel’s subsequent military campaign in Gaza, according to the Hamas-run health ministry. However, those figures have been complex to verify independently. Additionally, the Hamas-linked officials do not differentiate between combatants and innocent civilians. 16. By Stefan J. Bos, Chief International Correspondent Worthy News JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – Israel was weighing its options Sunday after U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration put a hold on a shipment of U.S.-made ammunition to Israel, several sources said. Israeli government officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the development marks the first instance of such a delay since October 7. U.S. news site Axios first reported news about the delay, while Worthy News also monitored The Jerusalem Post newspaper reporting on the issue. However, Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency quoted one Israeli official as telling Israeli media that Israel was “unaware” of any U.S. decision “to put a hold” on a shipment of ammunition to Israel, an Israeli source said Sunday. Tel Aviv “is not aware of any U.S. decision regarding stopping or reducing military support to Israel,” the source reportedly said. However, even a “delay” in crucial military support from Israel’s main ally, confirmed by several sources, was expected to impact Israel’s military as it fights Hamas and other Iran-backed groups in the region. The delay in the shipment comes amid international pressure on Israel to halt its military operations in Gaza and not to invade Gaza’s southern city of Rafah. REITERATING DETERMINATION Yet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his nation’s determination to launch military operations in Rafah despite international opposition. Aid workers say about half of Gaza’s 2.3 million people are sheltering in the city. However, speaking Sunday on Israel’s annual Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Day (Yom Hashoah in Hebrew), he said: “If we do not defend ourselves, no one else will defend us. And if we have to stand alone – we will stand alone.” He spoke on the day that Israel remembers the six million Jews who died in the Holocaust, also known as the Shoah. Days earlier, Netanyahu stressed, “We will enter Rafah because we have no other choice. We will destroy the Hamas battalions there; we will complete all the objectives of the war, including the return of all our hostages.” He referred to October 7, when Hamas killed some 1,200 people and took hundreds hostage in Israel. White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said on Saturday that the Biden administration made clear to Israel that the way it will conduct an operation in Rafah will influence U.S. policy towards the Gaza war. DEMOCRATIC PRESSURE Biden, who seeks re-election this year, is also facing pressure from within his Democratic Party. Scores of Democrats in the United States House of Representatives urged him over the weekend to consider halting arms sales to Israel if it does not alter the conduct of its war against Hamas. A letter signed by 88 Democratic members of Congress and delivered to the White House appealed to Biden to take a firmer stance toward Israel, a staunch ally. The lawmakers voiced “serious concerns regarding the Israeli government’s conduct of the war in Gaza as it pertains to the deliberate withholding of humanitarian aid.” Israel’s alleged restrictions on U.S.-backed humanitarian aid to Gaza “have contributed to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe,” the letter said, citing the U.S. Agency for International Development. Israel has denied wrongdoing and said much of the aid ends up in the hands of Hamas fighters and allies while not reaching innocent Palestinians. 17. At Jesus' baptism the testimony that He was anointed "the Most Holy" was confirmed via the sign foretold to John the Baptist, the greatest of all prophets (save Jesus Himself), when John beheld the Holy Spirit like a dove light upon Jesus. Jesus confirmed this Himself "When He had opened the book, [and] found the place where it was written, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel," and said to those hearing Him "This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears."
  18. Yes, I would like to think "The same Holy Spirit is with us all, leading and guiding," but doubtless with many believers He is grieved by their overconfidence whereby they have become incapable of hearing or following Him into "all truth." People often have their theological strongholds, which tend to be more crippling then sin in the life of a believer. Therefore, having been so ensnared, for years I have endeavored to practice being my biggest challenger of my persuasions. I learned long ago almost anything can be preached from the bible. It's not what I can support with a few scriptures, but rather that which stands with the harmony of the whole of scripture. That said, my life as been one of constantly evaluating, tweaking, or completely changing my position on a matter. However, I've learned that the crucial thing is to not grieve the Spirit and to be true to my convictions in the Lord while endeavoring to perfect holiness unto the Lord. Regarding Dr. Kent Hovind's positional change, I would be in harmony with him, as well as the comments regarding "no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation."
  19. I will go back to Exodus… Thanks again, Charlie
  20. Thank you very much! Charlie
  21. Its my calling for 40 years, I only say I know something when I know it. Peoples problems seems to be they can not look afresh at anything because they do not want to have wasted time thinking in another way. I look at it all different, when God reproves me, I know His truths are going to come flooding in. Plus, God told us He would reveal ALL THINGS at the very end, so why are w 100 percent trusting men's ideas from BEFORE God's plan to reveal it all?
  22. Oh, I know… thanks! This is great stuff! I should have chased the word “hour” back to the Hebrew since I believed the people of the world did not count time my “hours.” Agree. Well, I have a different interpretation of this time element—- and it works very well with the other verses / chapters in Daniel. This period refers to the time “His saints of the most high (term ONLY found within Daniel 7 four specific times) will be in the hands of the little horn. The term “SOTMH” does not refer to people, martyrs, etc. It refers specifically to His 10 Commandments (can’t provide support for this here - take a few pages), but essentially, His Word will be under the hold / power of the little horn (papacy). Moses was given the 10 commandments in 1500 BC. Thus, they will be on the earth UNTIL God removes them for a total period of 3500 years- a time = 1000 years, so a “time, times, and 1/2 time equals 3500 years. We are so close to the end… Again, I have a very different interpretation on this… the 2300 evenings and mornings prophecy refers to the time the sanctuary will be cleansed and an end to the offerings. Almost everyone contends this refers to a physical Temple (a 3rd Temple) but Jesus did away with the Temple / the Sanctuary / the need for animal sacrifices, etc. This ONLY applies to the work of Jesus while He was on the earth. God had specifically appropriated the last week (full 7 years) of the 70 weeks of years prophecy where the Lord would fulfill ALL His requirements given to Him by His Father (9:24). He is the ONLY one that COULD do away with the offerings and cleanse the Sanctuary (in Heaven). From an earthly point of view, Jesus WOULD HAVE attended 7 Passovers during the last week of the prophecy. Meaning, if you calculate the number of DAYS from the beginning of His ministry (1st day of the start of the 70th week) through to the day of the 7th Passover within the last week, equals exactly 2340 days (6.5 years at 360 days per year - note, the first Passover He attended was exactly 1/2 year after He began His ministry). So, His ministry and the cross would “do away” with the Levitical ceremonies. From the 1st day of His ministry to the last Passover is 2340 days BUT, Jesus had to immediately go into the desert to be tempted by the devil for exactly 40 days. Thus, He would now be made “pure or cleansed” in His role as our High Priest. Thus, 2340 - 40 days = exactly 2300 days. Only Jesus can cleanse the Heavenly sanctuary. Well, it would take too much more time to explain these two time elements, but they speak to the Messiah- His first coming and His second coming. All great stuff, but I have yet to study Revelation.. 23. No, verses 7 & 8 are demonstrating why 70 AD can not be the return of Jesus and vs. 14 tells the Disciples how than can know 100% that the 70 AD wars will not be Jesus in spite of the Pharisees fulfilling John 5:43 (see below) by putting forth fake christs to try to save Jerusalem from the Roman fourth beast. John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye(Pharisees) will receive. Matt. 24 was a MUST NEEDS survival guide for the Disciples and early church. If the Disciples went rushing back thinking Jesus was come again, then they would have all been killed and the early Church would have followed them. So, Jesus had to get it this into their head that they would 1.) never see his return and 2.) that they would all be killed for his names sake, save John. 3.) and he must tell them what all had to happen (vs. 14) before the rapture could take place. Its like Jesus says, the baby is way on down the road, you must go through Birth Pangs first. That is the whole point brother, I will demonstrate at the bottom. The Disciples were only going to hear of the Wars & Rumors of wars via the 70 AD events that lasted from circa 66-70 AD. So, when Jesus tells them the end (70th week when Jesus shows up) is not yet, he then demonstrates why the 70 AD events CAN NOT be the 70th week which will bring the Messiah and gives a long list of things that lead up to those 70th week events, buy why? He had to key them into the fact that the 70 AD events was not his returning point, so that they would stay away, and not bring the Church back. So, verses 7-8 are just a demonstration unto the Disciples why he says in vs. 6 the END IS NOT YET.......He simply shows why in verses 7 & 8 !! That is true, that is the point, Jesus had to get them to grasp that the 70 AD events were not the END (70th week events) time events seen in Zech. 14:1. So, verses 7-8 only demonstrates why vs. 6 is not about the end times. Overall, it has nothing to do with Jesus' message unto his disciples and how to guide the church where they would not get quashed out of existence via wrong moves by the disciples. Lets go over Matthew 24:1-14 verse by verse Matt. 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things?(Temple) verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down(in 70 AD). 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? (Temples Destruction) and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Jesus answers first about THESE THINGS or the Temples Destruction 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you(Disciples). 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ(fulfills John 5:443 the Pharisees put forth messiah types); and shall deceive many. 6 And ye(Disciples) shall hear of wars and rumours of wars(the 70 AD events and wars): see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (So, this WAS Jesus' major message here. He needed to let his Disciples know that the 70 AD events were not him returning to set up the Kingdom Age which all Jews looked towards. He told them the temple will be destroyed [in 70 AD] but those saying they are the messiah are false christs, do not buy into it, THEN.......in verses 7-8 he makes it very, very, very clear why the 70 AD events can not be his return to set up the Kingdom Age, just after the 70th week, because THIS .........THIS .......THIS .........and THIS must all happen first. Famines the Disciples would never see, Nation against Nation (ethos vs. ethos) and Kingdom against kingdom, and this was not even a POSSIBILTY with Rome ruling, there was no uprisings or wars inside their kingdom, they ruled and NO ONE ELSE dared arise against them or agaainst anyone else. So, the Orange Section below is Jesus demonstrating why the 70 AD events were not him coming to set up his Kingdom Age and why that was the case. The Disciples would never see these Birth Pangs of Earthquakes, Great Famines, or Great Pestilences that killed many people (like the Black Plagues and COVID 19). So, your observation is correct, they never see all this, which is why I am telling you Jesus' overall message to the Disciples here is not really about these Birth Pangs at all, he's simply saying if this were the End Time 70th Week Events you would first have to see THIS........THIS.........THIS........and THIS. So, it can not be me come again. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. Now Jesus goes right on telling the Disciples THEIR FATES..... 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you(Disciples): and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake(Rome turned against the Christians because they refused to worship Cesar as God, amongst other things, the disciples were their leaders so they tried to make an example out of them). 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. {{{ Here, when Rome turned up the pressures, many who claimed to be of Christ turned rat to save themselves. The FALSE PROPHETS here are not Christian or Jews, its the Jupiter, Zeus, and Babylonian false god types, they were getting hurt by the Gospel which was converting their patrons at an alarming rate so they cried unto Rome, who mostly served Jupiter/Zeus. The love of many waxes cold probably is Jesus referring unto the blood sport of killing in the arenas. }}} 13 But he that shall endure unto the end[OF ONES LIFE], the same shall be saved.(Jesus just told them they would all be killed, now he warned them they must be faithful until the end of their lives (Faithful unto death). 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come(70th week). {{{ So, in vs. 6 Jesus says THE END IS NOT YET.........at the 70 AD events....then he shows why its not even close because before the END (Baby) can come BIRTH PANGS must come, now in vs. 14 Jesus gives his Disciples a 100% understanding of why the END can not happen in 70AD because before that END can come, the Gospel must be preached unto the entire world, and the Disciples knew of India, China and the Scythians (modern day Russia) and they knew 100% that this would never happen in their lifetimes, so add ALL THREE THINGS TOGETHER, no one should miss Jesus' message here. 1.) The END is much later on, all these BIRTH PANGS must come before the end comes and Jesus sets up his Kingdom Age on this earth. 2.) You Disciples WILL all be KILLED 3.) Jesus is saying the END (70th week) where I set up my Kingdom Age at my 2nd Advent, can not happen until the Gospel has been preached unto the WHOLE WORLD. }}} Now, step back and take a fresh look, verses 4-13 has absolutely NOTHING to do with the End Times, meanwhile we have preachers who actually insist this is about the 70th week events. It is not nor can it be. As a matter of fact its just the opposite. Only once we get to verses 15 and on are we in the 70th week events, SEE BELOW 15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
