  1. John compares "the holy city" to a bride -- "prepared AS A BRIDE adorned for her husband" (Rev 21:2). Then he personifies the Bride (the Church) by saying "I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife" (Rev 21:9). But since he had already shown us who the Lamb's wife is in Rev 19:7-8 -- THE SAINTS -- he expects us to understand that the Church is being personified by the city. What's so hard to understand? Christ does not marry gold, silver, and precious stones, so that should be your clue right there. Well, here it is again: show me where it says the Bride is us, the believers. 6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. Hello Sister, This topic reminds me of Pre Tribulation discussions. We all know that if there is a Pre Tri, then even the Post, None and Mid Tribbers will be included in the Pre. I usually end up telling them, I'll explain it to you on the way up. Now, I am just wondering, if it turns out that We are indeed the Bride, will you fight tooth and nail Not to be the Bride? I am with Ezra on this. I find it easy to understand why we are the Bride. I want to be the Bride. Not being the Bride would be less to me.
  2. No doubt she has gotten that idea from one of our own liberal politicians here in America. I recall not too long ago one of them mentioned that all that the terrorists need to halt their brutal actions was "jobs". Then they would be happy and of course love us and not want to kill us.
  3. I would hope that that amount would tempt someone to come forward. I really hope that they do. But I don't know if I would want to be interrogated by the KBG to earn the reward. They may get you to admit to stuff so they won't have to pay anything. There would have to be a 3rd party involved to keep the informant safe from all sides.
  4. Now that is scary.God is in control so that is comfort to me. Yep, that site is scary for sure. Did you read some of the comments on the bottom of the page? Those are scary too. I have to admit, even though as a Marine in 1968 I took the oath to defend the Constitution, my present day pecking order is. . . . God, Family and then Country.
  5. Statements like that from the administration are viewed as a dare or a challenge to isis. As usual, a victory lap is taken when the event is far from concluded.
  6. I know that the France President mentioned being "merciless" when hunting down the terrorists, but Putin will show the world what merciless really means. The spoils of war and collateral damage will be in the headlines everyday once he begins.
  7. Israel has to have some intelligence coming in via boots on the ground in Syria. I hope and pray that they also have the same capabilities in Iran. The time is coming when they will have to decide about a preemptive strike on the Iranian nuclear sites. God Bless Israel.

    No tipping

We always tip, regardless of the service. Even sometimes when I take my coffee cup up to the counter to get a refill. If our particular server is lacking, we don't take it out on the rest. They do share the tips with the cooks and other servers.
  9. I agree that at the very least the fighter jets should have been deployed. Those planes rattle your teeth when they fly by at tree top level. And you are never prepared for them because they are ahead of the sound. It would have dispersed the terrorists 100%.
  10. “We have not given up our hope for peace,” Mr. Netanyahu told reporters in the Oval Office. “I remain committed to a vision of two states for two peoples, a demilitarized Palestinian state that recognizes the Jewish state.” How can this ever take place? Even if the Palestinians were to agree that Israel has the right to exist, that would not alter their hate and desires to kill them.
  11. Why not merely go to Mac Donald's for your coffee? The insert the stuff in it for you behind the counter if you ask them. Then there is no waist. I like their coffee.
  12. Ok, ok, so I chew on ice and tear open stuff with my teeth. . . . . I should get a pass because I do not walk around with a toothpick hanging out of my mouth. And by the way, the edges of those packets can also substitute for a toothpick in an emergency situation. . . . . . when no one else is looking of course!!
  13. So true Patriot. There is nothing new under the sun. We just do those bad things better, quicker and a lot more at once, nowadays.
  14. Oh boy, a bunch of truth tellers in here. How many of you folks use your teeth to help open those little packs? I do that myself cuz it it hard for me to begin the proper tear in the packet without shooting it all over the place.
  15. Before I retired, I was a truck driver for a national food chain (Kroger). For safety reasons I did not wear my wedding ring on the job. Many times over the 45 years I would leave a store to deliver the next one, and on the way I would reminisce about the previous delivery. I would find myself saying....... did that female receiver really say what I think she said? Any subsequent trips back to the same store would leave me pretending like I never heard a thing.
  16. I don't fully understand the meaning here. I will wait until others post some stuff and then I will figure it out and join in.
  17. Only 2 out of 12........ But I should be rewarded an additional correct point for having a TV that looked like that one.
  18. Thanks for this post. This happened before I was saved in 2000, so until just now, I had not even heard of it. I do recall hearing about the Oslo Accords, but I will have to investigate what they were or still are. And it was very interesting to find out how shallow the security was for him back then. To think that protesters were allowed at his very waist high gate is amazing, based on what goes on today.
  19. Especially if that "One Person" is Jesus, because to him, you are the world. He would have come and done all that He did even if you were the only person in the entire planet that would benefit from His Grace.
  20. Kiwk, A very good Thread Title and very timely too. I fully agree with your list. And too often I have notice #1 popping it's head out in Worthy. How many times in just this month alone have I read variations of this (in anger) >>> " I am leaving this thread or even Worthy because I am not understood or appreciated". Now that is a basic example of getting the last word in. And welcome back, you were missed. 1x1

    question

Well yes, we want to give you a big welcome to Worthy first. You will receive a whole bunch of suggestions to your question in here. I find that you don't always have to "do or say" something in order to bring nonbelievers to Christ. Just being a loving caring person will turn on a light in others and they will ask you how you are the way you are. Then just go from there. GBU, glad to meet you.
  22. Thank you Shilo, I could not say it better......other than Eternal means Eternal.
  23. Eternal salvation is not very Eternal if we can loose it, walk away from it, or even have it taken away. I am born again, thus saved forever!
  24. ESFP (-A-T) Entertainer Kinda fits. I was a truck driver, so I had to entertain myself hours on end. Since retirement I like to perform magic shows. I kept looking for the question....."how many times have you looked at the percentage bar above the test"?
