  1. As she reads John, she should be asking Jesus Christ for insight on what she's reading.
  2. Your question can be rephrased as "Is it sinful to have feelings when X occurs?" What do you think is the answer(s) to your question?
  3. This is an excellent tour, running next year: https://www.tomthepreacher.com/israel I know the pastor running the tour quite well, he is a terrific speaker and leader. What are your exciting or similar experiences in the Holy Land?
  4. Many Christians do many things for dollars without being covetous or loving money. There is nothing wrong with monetizing a Christian channel, then tithing on it or giving more or even all of the money to Christian needs and causes. The actual question for me and others who do full or part-time Christian work (and projects like books and tours and etc.) for money--am I charging reasonable prices and earning reasonable profits or am I being covetous?
  5. By knowing that the most popular church attendance day in America annually is Easter, than working to ensure the gospel is shared at Sunday Service. Then people get saved and "avoid touching unclean things".
  6. 1) Pray for protection and discernment 2) Evangelize to witches, so they trust Jesus and renounce witchcraft
  7. Imperfect people cannot live in Heaven, to get there, you must be not only forgiven but transformed. Trust Jesus--He died a horrible death on the cross for our sin, guilt, shame--our imperfection. He rose from the dead! You can pray to Him for salvation and He hears!
  8. I don't understand why. All answers here align with the scriptures: "If something is not of faith TO YOUR CONSCIENCE, it's sin." And "respect those with faith stronger (or weaker) than yourselves."
  9. That's a good list, I know, I witness often. However, I'm almost NEVER asked these questions when I keep my gospel sharing simple, on target: A Gospel Primer No one disagrees with the gospel’s logic, when presented as perfection vs. imperfection: 1) Ask someone, “Are you, like me, morally imperfect, because you disobey your inner voice sometimes?” 2) Say “Since a utopia is a perfect place, if I hurt your feelings or you hurt my feelings, it stops being utopia. Do you know the solution, so we imperfect people can get to Heaven?” People usually respond, “What do you think is the solution?” 3) Tell them, “The Bible explains that Jesus Christ, being perfect, switched places with us on the cross. He died a horrible death by torture to take our sin, guilt and shame, our imperfection. He then rose from the dead, to prove we can trust Him for eternal life.” Helpful Verses · John 3:16, “God so loved the world He gave His Son, so whoever trusts in Him shall not perish but has everlasting life.” (Trust is clearer than “believe”) · 2 Corinthians 5:21, “He made Him who was perfect to be imperfect for us, that we might become as perfect as God.” (I cross my hands as I speak, showing Jesus switching places with us) · Romans 6:23, “The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Helpful Sayings 1) “You and I disobey the voice of conscience, we’re imperfect. I’m a Christian but would mess up Heaven today as I’m imperfect. But when I meet Jesus, He will perfect me.” 2) “If I was hungry and you gave me food, you’d say it was a free gift. But you paid for the food. Jesus paid for us to have a free gift, eternal life.” 3) “On a scale of 0 to 100%, how sure are you of Heaven? I can read your mind, less than 100% is because you’re imperfect. My number is 100%, since I trust Jesus, not myself, for future perfection. Fear Disappears · People are afraid to share the gospel. So I allow myself a small fear only, to ask, “Can I ask you a question?” After that ice is broken, it’s easy to ask, “If you died today, would you go to Heaven?” · You can also say, “Can I ask you a question? What do you think happens after you die?” People always return with, “What do you think happens?” Human Resources cannot condemn you for pressure evangelism at work, since you answered a coworker’s question for invited evangelism. Avoid Jargon Christians confuse everyone with Christian jargon. I never speak these jargon terms when sharing: faith, belief, repentance, repent, baptism, give Jesus your life, put Jesus in your heart, confess all your sins to Jesus, get right with God, make Jesus Lord, make Jesus your Savior… Healthy Terms to Share · Imperfection versus perfection · Trust yourself versus trust Jesus · Doing religious things versus receiving a free gift · The cross of Jesus Christ · Horrible death by torture, and resurrection · Trust Jesus · Jesus is trustworthy
  10. Avoid them, be they Internet trolls or family members! Jesus warned us about pearls and swine. Save your pearls...
  11. Does it prick your conscience to watch? Then don't watch it! Are you okay, with a clean conscience when you watch it? Then watch it!
  12. Amen to that, yes! Persistence is the key to a college degree for most and not at all intelligence or even high intelligence--showing up faithfully to class, faithfully adhering to the professor's rules, studying--the hallmarks of a faithful brother or sister in Christ.
  13. The answer should be yes or no, Christians strive for yes or no, but the answer to your question is "sometimes, depends". Be more specific in your question--and I think you'll learn your answer for yourself.
  14. Where JesusChristIsLord, anything is possible, yes?
  15. Colossians 3 and other passages are clear, as a man, I must submit to my wife, my pastor, ruling authorities, etc. A woman is not different than a man--I'm an egalitarian--she must also submit to her pastor. A woman CAN teach men and/or women and her teaching, like mine when I preach on a Sunday, is covered by pastoral authority. As a Jew, I can tell you this stems from the rabbi's authority, and the tradition that the rabbi would speak on Moses and then another might speak in the rabbi's congregation, even a visiting teacher, under the rabbi's blessing, after. JESUS CHRIST followed this convention when He guest lectured in Capernaum, Nazareth, etc. Paul and others did the same.
  16. My comment refers to yoga classes in general (which are growing at an astonishingly rapid rate nationwide, here in the U.S.). I bet people interested in yoga who are not the OP will find this thread... and it's not obvious to all Christians that certain parts of the yoga system are evil--which is why the OP and other people's questions exist.
  17. Believers are "asleep" in Christ. When do they wake? What do they see? There's your answer.
  18. Chanting the names of false gods while stretching will do it, though, as will focusing on the kundalini energy of the SERPENT at the base of one's spine...
  19. The common OOBE (Out Of Body Experience) includes bright light, and a command to "go back and do some good" and the people come back and do good works. The devil, the false gospel of works. You've got it right!
  20. Women can teach men INSIDE church, too, if there is a husbandly/pastoral covering. Note the "teach or assume authority over" in the verse.
  21. Thinking about committing suicide is NOT a sin, but indicates someone who needs to trust Jesus for salvation and allow God to heal them...
  22. No, yogurt isn't demonic.
  23. I can help if you'd like to send me a PM. I have counseled many young people who are conflicted about sexuality. One is in recovery and is coming to my home Monday to have dinner with me and my wife.
  24. I have had hundreds of "contradictions" shared with me. Most go away easily in two ways: 1) They had something wrong in English that isn't there in the original Bible languages 2) They want to disbelieve rather than seeing logical solutions to the very verse they're complaining about 3) Like all unbelievers, since they do not see the scripture as one voice, they refuse to compare scripture with scripture to balance their views
