I don't think anyone is qualified to suggest that this is the time of the End of all things. It's a well known point, but it bears repeating - pretty much every generation since Christ has believed they were the ones to whom the prophecies of End Times would come true. Will it happen now? Perhaps. Chances are it won't. That's the thing about Jesus - his return will be like a thief in the night, no one can predict.

The advice right from the start was about the best advice you could ever get - accept Jesus and live for the will of God. Further action is impossible. You can try stocking up on food, but chances are that you will never need it (remember all those people running into bunkers filled with baked beans on 6/6/06, fearing the Beast would arise???).

For the record, I am neither a pre-trib, mid-trib or post-trib believer. Personally I think that even when the End comes we won't see the types of things expected by either group. But that's not really the point of the thread, so I'll leave it there.

Best wishes,

PA

End of all things?

I read in the Bible that Jesus brings a great and wonderful eschatalogical KINGDOM of everlasting delights; not a grim 'end of all things!'

------end of all things.

What could ? or should ? we do or prepare ? or can't we??

I also agree that there is no "end of all things" as you put it. Here is what I believe in a nutshell. After Christs Second Coming, and after we are caught up to be with Him, but not to proceed those who have died in him, who go first, there will be a thousand year rule where Satan is bound in chains and is cast into the bottomless pit, not to do anything until the end of this time. Then Satan will be loosed for "a season" where he will gather a great army from all over the world and try to destroy all of Gods believers. He will fail. Then the Great White Throne Judgment will occur where sinners are judged. After that, there will be a new heaven and a new earth, for the former will pass away, never to be seen again. Then the New Jerusalem will come down out of heaven to the new earth where we will forever be with God.

if you are a pre-trib rapture believer, you might wish to set up a good stock pile of food for those that will be left behind so that they have about 7 years worth of food to live on so they can survive with out taking the Mark.....

if you are a mid tribber, you might wish to do the same, so that you can survive for the first half with out having to take the mark to buy food......

if you are a post rapturist, you might want to do the same so that you can survive the entire 7 years with food.... for the only way to get food will be by taking the mark.... being the water and food sources will be gone..... the water will be unfit to drink, the animals will be dead..... and the price of the things avail will be just outragious......

as far as being the end of times, we are seeing the birthing paings.......

it is said that we are now only beginning to see the what is in store for the economy... it is reported that in about two years, the food will be so high that most people will be getting only what they need and nothing more.... icecream will be one of those things that will sit there longer and longer before being bought....

And if you're a Last Day Adventist like me, you can expose Gog and Magog when you see their agenda being carried out and do your best to try to explain the historical teachings of the Church to gain some sanity in eschatology.

The other way to get food and water through the tribulation could be from ravens or mana, perhaps water from a rock or a little flour thrown in.

Seriously do you think stockpiles will not be taken from you by such an evil government, stockpiles may be good but there will be no where to hide in the natural as satelite spys will know where you are, and the foods only good if you can stay with it.

Learn to trust Him alone, and if we are martyered, pray for grace to perservere rather than escape.

Plus - wouldn't it be "Christian" of you to share your supplies with others? If you have food saved up enough for you and your family, what if a dozen refugees come through your house - what about a hundred, all needing food? At what point do you stop giving food to those who need it in order to save yourself? Yes, that's a loaded question, no need to answer. It's certainly a conundrum though.

This is of course assuming a pre-trib view of Eschatology....

That's assuming a pre-millennial view of eschatology, which the Protestant churches have in many cases. I think they're making a BIG mistake, one that will cost the Church dearly in terms of both new Believers and in terms of people who have put all their hopes in a teaching which is only a few hundred years old and theologically questionable.

------end of all things.

What could ? or should ? we do or prepare ? or can't we??

Be ready. Whether endtime or maybe it is the end of your life in this world. The answer is the same.

Trust in Jesus Christ.Get your life and home in order. Eliminate all clutter. Keep yourself mobile. (If it is endtime be prepared to move if Jesus tells you to move) Have preparations made for any and all situations. It may be a hurricane or tornadoe or something. Learn from events like New Orleans. Have a plan and have a backup plan. I can tell you now if a Tornadoe hit our place we may be inconvienced for a day or so. We sure don't need the government to lean on. They are to slow, inefficient, and ungodly. Treat everyday as your last day, shine for Jesus Christ and tell your loved ones you love them. Make sure your not leaving burdens on your loved ones.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
