I doubt seriously if the middle and high school students who have been viewing it for the last 2 years even remember it.

The day after Beck aired the first show on this a parent called about this and was put on the air with his two teen age boys who happened to see the show also and told their dad they did remember watching it the last two years. When Beck asked one of the boys if he believed what it had to say he kinda waffled but then said no cuz of the way he was brought up. Kids remember silly things, big things, for the most part we really don't know what kids choose to remember or not, my daughter who is getting close to 30 remembers every video played in school with much clarity, though she doesn't remember algebra!

Glenn Beck's mormonism doesn't bother me or scare me. He is an awesome person...and awesome American. Listen to him daily. I am glad he exposed the videos. I will watch the video with my middle-school daughter so that she is prepared for the deception.

Too bad Annie Leonard didn't use beautiful and awe-inspiring cartoon imagery...alot of people didn't notice that the movie Wall-E was about the same thing and targeted at children.

Well both of you can dust off your reading specs and read it again - I do NOT agree with a lot of what is said, but I don't believe it is some insidious plot to undermine capitalism either and what I said was:

While I do not agree with much of Ms. Leonard's portrayal of capitalism - she does present some critical points with clarity.

And she does, imo.

I did read what you wrote.

What comes across is that it doesn't bother you to have the lies being mixed in with the truth.

"She does present some critical points with clarity," sounds like you are cheering those points being presented enough that it's OK for the stuff you don't agree with to slide by.

What also comes across is that you are OK with this film being shown in the schools.

Yeah, after what has happened with our economy in the last 2 -3 years - huge corporations are pretty synonymous with greed.

Huge corporations were only part of the problem. Government screwed up, too.

And so did Acorn with the help of then Lawyer Obama - who blocked a reform bill that would have clamped down on Freddie and Fannie Mae, which could have helped prevent the collapse from happening.

If the film has no value - and it really has very little - what is Beck and company so upset with?

Are you sure it is not influencing the perception of the children watching it?

Are you sure? It's amazing the things you remember from school. I remember some pretty interesting movies and presentations. And I remember the influences those things had on me.

And I also wonder how you know it is only middle and high school students that this is shown to?

As I said previously - You are entitled to your opinion and I to mine. I do not agree with certain concepts of her take on capitalism - I said that several times and I do not know why you persist in an indepth analysis of my comments. I stand by them. Large corporations HAVE been greedy and the US taxpaying public HAS bailed them out. The film maker stated in an interview a couple of years ago that the target audience was middle and high school economics classes. The students that Beck interviewed didn't appear to be kindergarten age. I'm glad you remember so much of what you learned in school.

I just watched and intiriguing video interview of Glenn Beck by Katie Couric. If you can stomach Katie Couric long enough at about 32 minutes into the interview he talks about his Mormonism and his answer is not an answer that leadth to life.
