For Paul , living was Christ (i.e. he was connected to Christ and bearing fruit for Him).

So what changes when we die?

Nebula what's up?

There are dozens of scriptures that allude to what changes when we die. It is actually why we live in Christ, so that eventually we live with Christ?

Your questions are disturbing me. Are you Ok?

Thanks - I'm OK - it's nothing new that's going on . . . I just thought I'd look for input. This has been on my heart and mind for a long time. The suicide struggle was just how the pondering got started, and I only mentioned it to try to express what I mean by my questions. I'm not sure I'm digging it out right, though.

But maybe consider this. Have you seen posts on this Board by Christians who struggle with suicide - have you noticed they can't separate the desire to be with the Lord from the desire to escape the pain of this life?

"Too die is gain" - so let me gain! Right?

So, what if there is something more to this life than just getting saved and getting other people saved? Isn't there more?

Isn't there?

So what is that "more"?

OK, but putting this together with what makes this life valuable to the Lord. . . ?

again, what makes you think this life is valuable to the Lord?

i don't think it is valuable to Him.

He created it, didn't He?

i don't think it is valuable to Him.

It's value is seen in creation account before sin entered!

Gen 1:4

Gen 1:10

Gen 1:12

Gen 1:18

Gen 1:21

Gen 1:25

Gen 1:31

All these "God saw that it was good" is upon also His foreknowledge of sin entering later into the world by our choice! So now the world and our bodies (all material essence) is set aside for the destruction of fire right before the eternal beginning of A New Earth and A New Heaven where in righteousness dwells for the unbounded of God. So the value of this material essence and that goes as far as the Lord has been stretching it, (heavens), out since the beginning of creation exists only for the fulfillment of His Word (rapture, tribulation, millennial kingdom and judgment) then tears and sorrow wiped away from our beings by The Father who loves us as much as His own Son even His own self. For that is the testimony of the Cross! This truth our eternal heritage and my personal Joy that exceeds all fears, all doubts, for it is the perfected Love kept in safety by The Father and Son and Spirit who has given it as the pledge of long ago with Abram! Gen 15 understanding made complete Heb 6:13-19 Love Steven

Maybe it's because I'm 62 and have been through much. Maybe my expectations are just a little lower than yours. At least three times in my life, I should have died. All three times God interfered, so I have to think that there is something that I have to do.

We've been poor, we've been broke and we've been sick...... but I refuse to let this world keep me from being happy, no matter what of those conditions we have to exist in.

It would be interesting to know why life is so bad for you. Don't know if there are any words that might make a difference, bit it's hard for me to not understand. It's hard to know if anything could/would help, but I find it hard not to ask.

So I would just ask, what is it that has you down, and how long has it been that way.

Laying down your life is the greatest love because your life has such value?

That's a good thought!

OK, but why does my or anyone's life on this earth have such value?

Because we have been bought with a price. Although not every one has accepted salvation even though God the Father sent his only begotten son into this world to die on a cross for everyone past and present who will accept Jesus as their Lord. Christ Jesus was that ransom price, payed for by his own body and blood as he bought us back and now our bodies are not our own.

1Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Our value is in God who changed us from what we used to be, into

(whole different creation) a new creature. Our value is always in God our Maker for we are His.

Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a "ransom" for many.

1 Timothy 2:6 Who gave himself a "ransom" for all, to be testified in due time.

Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.

Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. Psalms 5:1-3

Because Of Him

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power:

for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure

they are and were created. Revelation 4:11

Be Blessed Beloved Daughter Of The KING

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:

The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them. Numbers 6:24-27

Love, Your Brother Joe

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. Revelation 21:4-5

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
