Being 74 and hands not as steady as they used to be, I would have to say that my Taurus 380, 40mm, and 9mm shoot about as accurate as your sigs and Glocks....    what I do know is that they have been shot hundreds upon hundreds and with one exception of a single box of amo without powder they all three have gone bang every time I pull the trigger.

Don't intend to get into a battle with anyone long range, actually more of a point and shoot distances for protection.   I actually practice shooting from the hip at ten to 15 feet most of the time.

If I need to shoot someone across the street I'll use the AR   It's good for about as far as I can see anyway.

Inside the house it's the Mossberg 12g.

It's hard to conceal a Mossberg 12 gauge under my tee shirt.  :whistling:

My Taurus PT92AF 9 mm is 100% reliable, but it's not as accurate as other guns I have including Glocks.

I have not handled a Sig P365.  I have quite a few Sigs in my collection and like them all very much.  But Glocks have been my favorite from the start of my collecting days.  Up to now, my EDC gun has been a Glock 43, a Glock 26 or a Glock 23.  That is, until I started shooting CZs.  I thought I was shooting my best with Colt and Sig 1911s until I started shooting CZs like the CZ 75B and CZ 75B Compact.  I love the low bore axis of the CZs.  I have some CZs with safeties and some with decockers, some metal and some polymer.  I'm finding the smaller Glocks like the 42 and 43 are harder for me to retract the slide to load the first round from a full magazine.  I have psoriatic arthritis and find the bigger Glocks are easier to handle.

I also have a 43 and the simplicity and reliability of Glock design is impressive. My 365 has the 1911 style thumb safety, which I like....the familiarity is comforting. Check out the capacity and size/weight compared to the 43.

True, but it doesn't make sense for concealed carry for a person my size.

The Holy Scripture is clear:

  • Gal 5:13  -> "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another."
  • Eph 4:27 -> "Neither give place to the devil.".
  • 1Th 5:22  -> "Abstain from all appearance of evil.".

As only Jesus is good (Mat 19:17; Mark 10:18; Luke 18:19) and our heart is bad and deceitful (Jer 17:9), the best thing to do is don't own a gun.  When we will get with hot head, we can act in a way that can compromise all our future (and also, the future of someone that we love).

Most of the time I carry a G2c 9mm, or for pocket carry a .380 pt738, both Taurs.    I've got a .40 cal tarus, but I think the 9mm is a better round for close up "leave us alone" protection.   All three are no frills no outside hammer annd simple to use.  They always go bang when I pull the trigger with reliable ammo; and never jam when they are clean.   Not good for target competition though for the barrels are too short for that.   I do a lot of practice with laser bulllets and most of my practice is grab and shoot from the hip at close range.    If I want to shoot something further away than ten to 15 feet, I'll go get my AR.  If at home I'll grab the mosburg 12 gage.   It won't shoot through walls and hurt my neighbors

BTW just for the record, if someone came up to me and just told me he/she had a gun and wanted my money, I'd most likely just give it to them because I never ever carry enough cash for either one of us to die over.  Most carry laws require a person to fear for safety before legally using a weapon on someone, and demanding money just isn't that scary to me.  Maybe because I've been mugged a couple of times when I wasn't carrying.   In Oklahoma it is illegal to brandish a gun on someone, so if you to lay hands on it you better use it, and if you use it it better be in fear of your life or limb, or you may well be the one going to jail.

I carry a 43x on a daily basis. Unfortunately, I am in a state that is anti-gun and due to state law, I cannot carry more than 10 in the mag. So, while I'd love to branch out to higher capacity pistols, this 43x is my go to.

Have you tried installing a slide/rack assist to any of your Glocks?

Yes.  But it's the smaller Glocks I have trouble with when I go to full loads and extended magazines.  Otherwise, I can rack a larger Glock slide (double stack) using my index finger and middle finger gripping at the knuckles.  Psoriatic arthritis is the gift that keeps on giving.

"The sacred rights of mankind are not to be rummaged for, among old parchments, or musty records. They are written, as with a sun beam, in the whole volume of human nature, by the hand of the divinity itself; and can never be erased or obscured by mortal power." -Alexander Hamilton

Are you allowed to carry extra 10 shot clips on your person?

It's like they say, criminals don't obey gun control laws, when gun control laws aren't about the guns. They're all about control over those who obey laws.

I think Christians are entitled to arm themselves. Jesus told his disciples to buy a sword. In those times the foremost formidable weapon then known.

In today's parlance he would have said, even if you have to sell something to afford it, buy a AK-47. ?

God is not a pacifist.

Lord knows our SCOTUS illegally redefines unalienable right as often as afforded the opportunity. Meanwhile they have armed secret service security for life.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
