I apologize if my passion sounds like grumbling. I feel that the Christians in the US are not using the the GOD given gifts provided by Jesus at the cross. I see documentaries and Christian shows of the power of God ( deaf ears opened, blind eyes opened, raising of the dead) in places like China, Africa. and other countries. It seems in America we are spiritually dead. Our spirituality goes as far as church and this forum. How many of us step out in faith on the streets and prayed healing over someone? Satan deceives us into thinking that the powers are for apostles, that it takes a particular gift. If you were to walk down the street and pray for some one to be healed and God healed that person wouldn't he be more responsive to hear the Gospel? Isn't that how the multitudes came to Jesus.

We have to open our spiritual eyes and step out of our religious box. Hear some good faith teachings! The word faith is through out the bible all we have to do is step out.

2 Kings 6:15-17 (New King James Version)

15 And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him,

Onelight I quote "Tell that to those who are still crippled but love and trust God with all their heart, soul mind and strength." That sounds like fear to me. Those are the same fears (thoughts) satan put in me when I started living by faith.

I have no idea where you get fear from in my words. Maybe you should ask them personally and skip the middleman. There are some here who love the Lord with all their being, but are still not healed. What so you think they are afraid of, anyway?

Onelight I appreciate you at least going to the website. Andrew didn't violate any scripture. What he's saying is that since we gave dominion of this world to satan, God uses mankind to speak things into existence in this world. If you guys want to hear it in context he has 5 one hour teachings on the word became flesh. http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1057

FYI ... I have been to his site many many times, so you know.

Those are his own words, not scripture. He took an idea and created a doctrine out of it which is not based on any scripture what so ever. God never used man to create anything ... we are not little gods who run around creating anything by the words we speak. That is not scriptural at all, and if it is, please show me.

I see talking about healing and faith steps on everyone's religious toes. I truly know that it works Praise God! I honestly thought that the scriptures would be enough to prove it..

Testimony:

My brother in law Mario was supernaturally healed in Corpus Christi. He needed a shoulder operation and had no health care so he lived in pain for six months. During that time I was studying on supernatural healing. I was full of unbelief (carnally minded). I kept praying to God for revelation. About three months later I was talking to another brother in law and he told me how Mario got healed. I called Mario and it was true. I thank God for that man who healed him and I believe that was a revelation from God. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

You would be hard pressed to find anyone here that does not believe God can heal, so your first statement is not true. To say that to discuss faith steps on our toes is even further from the truth. You will also find that the vast majority here have a relationship with God, not a religion. You will also be hard pressed to find people who believe all we have to do is speak healing into our lives.

Onelight and all others who were offended by my comments , please forgive me and I apologize to all. I will quit this because it's starting to sound like the (political) news lol. Republicans against the Democrats!

Iron sharpens Iron, brother! :emot-handshake:

We have differences, yes, but I was hardly offended. When it sounded like I may of been, I was just trying to keep things straight.

God Bless

According to Scripture Abraham is the father of our faith and here is His teaching on this subject:

Luke 16:27-31

27 "Then he said, 'I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house, 28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.' 29 Abraham said to him, 'They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.' 30 And he said, 'No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.' 31 But he said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.'"

NKJV

According to this man in torment He wanted to warn His brothers by having someone to coming back from the dead.... Yet Abraham said faith (belief) could only come from Scripture Law and Prophets... which agrees with the rest of the witness of Scripture

Rom 10:17

17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

NKJV

And Christ Himself now gives witness to faith that brings eternal life:

John 20:29-31

29 Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

30 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

NKJV

Here is as clear as Scripture will ever be for you... Jesus says you have seen Thomas but those coming having not seen yet read in My Word of what I have done as to miracles and believe (faith Heb 11:1) these have eternal life....

Now if the father of our faith say not by signs and wonders does our faith come and Christ says I wish a people who will believe upon my Word alone of the miracles that I have written about.... and believe as such... these have life in The Son of God!

I have walked upon the earth 52 years and every step I have taken upon it has always been the same (it held me where I placed my foot) and then I took another and (it held also)... so I have repeated this many times to go here and there but this shame I will confess that most of those steps I gave credit to the ground itself for the consistency as to trust in holding my feet .... I was living a lie for the truth is found in the beginning: God the Trinity spoke from that which is nothing to become something ground ( earth ). This Word that He spoke is the unchanging ever constant that keeps my feet and me from falling into the eternities (without reference)... It is the same that we talk of here! It is His Word that is our foundation for all else for in His Word He has said that He is going to allow false signs and wonders to lead many astray.... So friend as for me I will trust in His Word and not look for signs and wonders. For in my heart I have seen Him raise the dead and heal the blind, make the leper clean and restore my blackened heart to a living Word that beats daily within my being... I am in Love with The Lord who has redeemed me so that He is everything to me and right now He is on the Right Hand of The Father so guess where I wish to be more than anything else... yet His slightest will for me to remain in order to testify of Him I will do with all my mind, strength, and heart. I guess the question is if your spouse lives somewhere other than where you are.. where would your desire to be? If I have the chance by sickness to go to be with Him who Holds me in His Love? I would not seek healing for as long as I am in this body I am not where I wish to be.... Love Steven

I don't look for signs and wonders either, but they do exist. As I stated earlier, a majority of the miracles that happen in this world go unnoticed. Believing in these things does not compromise your faith.

12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

The Lord says these things will happen.

What do you think of the gold dust, gold teeth, gems falling out of the air, diamonds appearing in strange places, manna found in peoples bibles, and 50 foot angles? Are these the signs and wonders you believe in, the ones that are so prevalent today? I do agree that God still works today, but there is a difference between what is His and what is not. Do you agree?

I agree there are a lot of cons and fakes sent by satan to disguise God working in us Christians today.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
