NOONE....I say.....NOONE at all.......has answered my question about SPECIFIC verses that SPECIFICALLY state you can:

become un-re-born

become un-in-dwelt by the Holy Spirit (NT)

God ceases to work IN a saint Phil2:13

become un-re-created (un-made from a new creature)Gal6;15

ceases to be a child of God

looses salvation

AND I MEAN SPECIFICALLY!.......if the scriptures tell you these things are so, specifically......then if they can be un-done.....shouldn't you be able to show me so?????

SHOW ME IF YOU CAN.....(and I don't think you can)

Peace, Carl....OSAS

Angels said, "Can somebody please answer my question?

Angels"

You cannot lose eternal life. If you could, it wouldn't be 'eternal' life. It would be 'maybe' life, or 'temporary' life, or

something like that. But it would not be 'eternal life'.

As for a sin that would be a final turning point, or something

of that nature, there are a couple verses that may give some insight-

"If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it."                                            1 Jn.5.16

"And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith He that is holy, He that is true, He that hath the key of David, He that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;"                        Rev.3.7

But these would refer to Christ's sovereign choice towards the lost- not the saved- to never more give them another opportunity to hear and obey the gospel( not that these ever could obey it, but to show how righteous God is in showering mercy after mercy upon these hard-hearted sinners).

The saved *are*saved forever because of the unchangable purpose of the Lord to set His everlasting love on them. He knows His own in an almighty, saving way-

"You only have I known of all the families of the earth:..."

                                                                 Amos 3.2

'For I am the Lord, I change not; Therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed."                                         Mal.3.6

"Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom."                                     Lk.12.32

Such a verse would not be in God's word, if God was only offering a gift that could be rejected, or thrown away by us.

Don't you see this? If my salvation was ultimately up to me,

I would lose it for sure. We all would-think about it. But my salvation is in a safer place than in my hands-

"According as He hath chosen us in Him(Jesus) before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will."                                                             Eph.1.4,5

CWJ,

I posted this before, I'll post it again:

We are saved from eternal damnation. But you didn't address my question about what specifically it was that I said that did not make sense to you.

This will illustrate what I was talking about:

Quote

"Are you saved?" asks the Fundamentalist. The Catholic should reply: "As the Bible says, I am already saved (Rom. 8:24, Eph. 2:5

I don't know where you would go. I know that you confess Christ as your Lord and Savior, but only God knows your heart and what you truly believe. What I think does not matter, its what God knows.

When you say will you go "right away", no, I don't think so because everyone has to go to Purgatory to be purged and purified.

Where do you get that from the scripture?  I'm not being sarcastic, really, I understand that we are currently being "put thorugh the fire" as needed through our troubles and trials on this earth God is perfecting our character to become more Christ-like.  Then when He comes we will be changed in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye.  Pergatory seems like a very strange doctrine to me from the Father that I know loves me unconditionally. :read:

You're right, God is a loving father. But, like all loving fathers, He also has to punish His children when they stray.

Here, I'll post this for you from:

http://www.catholic.com/library/Purgatory.asp

"Purgatory Not in Scripture"

Some Fundamentalists also charge, as though it actually proved something, "The word purgatory is nowhere found in Scripture." This is true, and yet it does not disprove the existence of purgatory or the fact that belief in it has always been part of Church teaching. The words Trinity and Incarnation aren

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
